I have made it a mission that when I become a parent, I would sing You'll Be In My Heart to soothe their crying. While I doubt I'd do Phil Collins due justice, I'd try hard to emulate the emotion behind the lyrics. Side note: I recommend the live-action 101 Dalmatians, starring Kala's voice actress Glenn Close in the role of Cruella De Vil.
High Recommendation for "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes" (1984). It was the first Tarzan film to be nominated for an Academy Award. Best Supporting Actor (Ralph Richardson), Best Screenplay from Another Medium and Best Makeup Starring: Christopher Lambert as John Clayton/Tarzan Andie MacDowell as Jane Porter Ralph Richardson as The 6th Earl of Greystoke, John Clayton's grandfather Ian Holm as Capitaine Phillippe d'Arnot ("Ash" from "Alien" !)
@@danielrodrigues9565 ... Great films, great books, and great music are eternal! Some may get lost in time, but when we dust them off, they're still great!
I read Tarzan for a history course on the period it was written in, and aside from the talking animal sidekicks I think this is genuinely better as a story
@@ptthatswhatshesaid I got a question for the both of you would you be interested in watching a movie and a TV show? They are both called quantum Leap and AXL
This is loosely based on the Old Tarzan movies. Tarzan the Ape Man with Johnny Weissmuller & Maureen O'Sullivan came out in 1932. There have been many versions made since then.
I'd love to see you react to a real 'old school' Disney classic, made in the days when everything was drawn frame by frame and no computers were involved.Pinocchio would be my choice - it's my favourite - or maybe 101 Dalmatians or Dumbo. A lot of people might say Fantasia. I hate Fantasia 😂 Whatever you react to I really enjoy. Thanks.
Well i don't really know if he did it in portuguese, but Phill Collins himself sang all the songs of this movie in other languages, so cool: th-cam.com/video/1xKYpVYmWZU/w-d-xo.html
Now that you've broken the seal on animated films, you will probably be inundated with more requests! Don't drown! 😱 😆 p.s. My Top Three picks are from Pixar: "The Incredibles", "WALL-E" and "UP".
I was going to say some people did die and that could be scary for a kid. The death that Roger is framed for is kinda horrific but is off screen. There's that poor shoe, others aren't really too bad, but several things about the end for sure was possibly scary. In particular a death. Fun fact: the voice of Roger Rabbit played a sleep doctor in Nightmare on Elm Street.
Maybe you can react to "Gargoyles: Awakening". It's 90's Disney made for tv animated movie that continued as a series. First 5 episodes form "Gargoyles: Awakening" A bit dark, great voicing and interesting plot.
Thank you. If you want to know more about Tarzan, the original books are still in print, they are however a product of their time. Though compared to some writers of the time who are still popular, the author, Edgar Rice Burroughs, was somewhat less offensive to modern sensibilities. Phil Collins, who is the primary vocalist, recorded his songs in French, Italian, German, and Spanish for the dubbed versions of the film's soundtrack, so it is likely you saw a version where the songs were in English. This version of Tarzan is reasonably close to the books. Most of the alterations are obviously to make it more appealing to modern children. If you want a more book accurate movie there is really only one, however alongside that one there has been another decent attempt in more recent times. The first movie, "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes" (1984) keeps remarkably close to the original story, and is certainly the closest adaptation of Tarzan to the book. The second much more recent movie, "The Legend of Tarzan" (2016) and is largely adapted from portions of a later book by the author and historical events in the Congo, while also taking time to show much of the original story in flashback. Both movies benefit from excellent acting and are well worth viewing if you have any further interest in Tarzan.
You should watch Treasure Planet and Atlantis The Lost Empire, both use a similar art style to this.

Very Nice song indeed 👌🏻
Didn't even knew Glenn Close was Kala's voice!
@@ptthatswhatshesaid She's really versatile and her ability to play a villain is S-Tier, especially the evil cackle.
This movie made me a phil Collins fan, what an amazing soundtrack.
Its true that it was also my introduction to Phil Collins xD
Love that whether it's animation or live action, you both always provide great, interesting thoughts at the end. Great reaction, as always!

When you get the chance check out The legend of Tarzan. It continues where the movie left off.
That one seems much more recent. But I don't think I've ever seen it 🤔
@ptthatswhatshesaid it came out a couple of years after Tarzan on ABC. It was mostly on Toon Disney back in the day.
Fun fact, Sabor's actually a female Leopard.
Had no idea!
LOL, the real question is.... How does an Elephant know South America and Africa... : )
