AI teammates are incredible once you shed the idea that they're just here to "support you"
Just treat them like you treat your "main" and yeah, that video shows, they're sometimes (a lot of times...) better than real players. AI bros for life

Thanks for the video! i always just assumed it wasnt possible as the AI did go on the guns!! but i think my team is string enough to do this now i know you arnt hard locked like that!!
Been having awful luck with the weapons....1st 17 runs, 2nd 11 runs, 3rd 20 runs and 4th 13 runs!! were some of my mates saying they've gotten all of them every 5-9 runs haha damnnn

Ouch! That is pretty unlucky. I started out with a weapon on my first run and then real unlucky after. But by 100 runs I got back to 11 of them, so slightly better than average luck.
Hopefully you have a nice string of them soon!

@Ghostzapper I was going for more of a tank with some dmg for vane, and get as much subs+ for stuff like bumble Def, regen, stamina. Try to max out link together and uplift to spend as much time as possible in link mode and sba etc. The highest amount of dmg done is through those windows with games like these so I want my Ai to do it as much as possible. And instead of atk and other mainly dps sigils I wanna try break and over drive assassin. That's the rough idea. And it's more for over all bosses. But with loadouts I can take out overdrive for other stuff depending if I need or want more support/tank/utility items or dps. Also Ai dodge alot rather than block so id ise the Curios dodge sigil and other other on to help them with s etc pretty much trying to also play into the ai strengths. Considering its easy to hit dmg cap I thought I'd try the above.

I tried the quest about 5 times today with well built KI members and me playing Percival (actually playing, not afk). I didn't make it even once. The first time we failed because we couldn't clear the DPS check at the end fast enough. So on the next tries I tried to save our bursts for that, but then Proto Bahamut had too much time damaging us so we failed because of dying too much. Other times the KI members weren't at the canons quick enough to shoot the golden orbs... It's a desaster. Oh, forgot to mention: I have no terminus weapons yet (obviously), not one single supplementary dmg sigil, and only one War elemental sigil which I bought from the DLC. I've opened about 300 curios to this point, had no luck yet..

Oof. I was going to suggest that if you don't mind the feeling of getting carried to just play online. But I forgot matchmaking is busted right now.

@@Ghostzapper Yeah actually yesterday (which was a sunday) I was very lucky and found a good online group that was willing to repeat the quest 6 times and we managed to defeat it 5 times (the last try we didn't beat the dps check at the end and then everyone stopped repeating 😅), but today I couldn't find a group for anything.. Not for Proto Bahamut and not even for the quick quests!!! It's really frustrating. I love playing together with actual people rather than the KI, but it seems to get harder and harder everyday to find anyone!! Maybe they're all already fighting Lucilius, I don't know.. 😔 And/or there are very few people that are picking this game up and play until they reach Proto Bahamut, because they hear about all the flaws of the game. I really enjoyed the first 50 - 80 hours of this game, but it's true, the extreme grind and especially the low drop rates for some things make it feel more like a chore than a fun game sometimes..

The options on how your teammates use their SBAs are huge in a fight like this! If your internet is holding you back, that's a way different story than thinking all your teammates stink, lol. Good luck!

Here after like 160 fights with only 9 unlocks. What is your sba setting? Immediate and boss?
I try this with vane (awakened) lancelot (awakened) and siegfried (1 point away from awakened)

If you're on controller, just tape to keep the pressure on

As the other comment said, set the guard key to something more accessible like Ctrl and laid something just heavy enough to keep it depressed!

I don't know why but my other characters in the group (Rackam, Eugen and Narmaya) are only doing like 300 per hit. This only happens when they hit elemental crystals :/

If you don't shoot down the orange balls, the crystals get a protective shield that needs to be powered through. It's a substantial shield if you are sufficiently geared, unfortunately.

On 12:12 you don't shoot down the orange balls but they still get through the crystals anyway. Mines don't even break 1 crystal lmao.

Can be a tricky question. In my opinion/experience Rackam is the best party member for the Player Controlled character to be. He "sees" enemies much further away than other characters and can actually hit them, too. After that, I would say whomever are your most geared.
The AI teammates' ability to move sort of levels them out. I'm sure characters with more AoE will perform slightly better, but if you don't have them built up as much as others or they just blow all their AoE on a single mob, it won't really matter.

How many attempts did it take?? And does it clear consistently?

This was actually the first attempt. It can be so close with the protected crystals that I wouldn't assume it could do it everytime. But my characters are also a week and a half stronger now, so maybe it is consistent at a certain point?

I believe it can, but you'd have to have some super geared characters. War Elemental, Glass Cannon, Supplemental Damage. The rare RNG sigils are probably mandatory.

ferry 33k atk with glass cannon
siegfried 28k atk w/o glass
all of character use war elem sigil
and still cannot break cystal why?

I genuinely do not know. If you're good on damage and especially damage cap...
It may have to do with how many hits they are doing or maybe stun power? I just don't know.

Without changing anything on the team, they pulled it off in exactly 7m30s. Biggest obstacle was because my character was always pushed back to the edge of the arena, the AI were caught between running to Versa and coming back to me. But they absolutely melted him when they were close enough/DPS checks.
