I was new to metal around 5 years ago and Infant Annihilator was the second band I listened to (because I got myself into metal and I was just browsing bands). I wasn’t scared, actually enjoyed it. But I was surprised to listen and watch such a music video. Never in my life had I experience something like that. 😂

Around 16 years old, I made the leap to bands like Dragonforce, Human Abstract, Mudvayne, Tool, and Haste the Day.
By age 18, I had fallen into bands like Iwrestledabearonce, Suicide Silence, Protest the Hero, and Rings of Saturn.
Then after turning 21, I began to enjoy bands like Animals as Leaders, Chon, and Babymetal, while also enjoying bands like Slaughter to Prevail, Infant Annihilator, Angelmaker, and Signs of the Swarm.

I was an emo kid. Listened to cringy 'scremo' bands in middle school, then progressed to 'heavier' emo bands like Suicide Silence early highschool, and then I got to this point... Kinda the last step of fully developed metal head. That was about a decade of development to get to this point lol

I love Infant Annihilator. I find they always make a joke out of their music videos, still disturbing but funny... This was my first time seeing this music video and this THIS WAS DISTURBING. It matched the level of disturbing of the lyrics.

"Blasphemian" is absolutely hilarious, especially the vocal solo part with the drummer and guitar player reacting to it! It's all in fun! Only thing you can really do is laugh at it to get through it! If you watch their live music videos, even their playthroughs it's all a joke! But bones to you for giving it a shot, man. Much respect.

I can understand that people want to see these reactions, especially to the most extreme parts of what 'metal' has to offer, but people really gotta chill on this stuff, you don't turn someone into a 'metalhead' by throwing them in the deep-end of the pool, ease them into some mild stuff, and progressively get heavier if they like it.
A reaction is a reaction, but as much as we may enjoy it, it really can paint a different picture for the one listening to it vs the one watching the person listening to it. No doubt that any of these bands are incredibly talented and skilled in their professions, nothing against them, but the requests really just don't do any service for 2LM, especially if he's genuinely interested in hearing new metal stuff.

@@TheCulturedCapy That's how it worked for me, after I started listening to more 'extreme' metal, it took about a year-and-a-half to listen to IA, and that's a rather fast change too. Throwing people into the deep end is the best way to make people avoid specific types of music, this can happen in any genre imaginable, and this absolutely counts for extreme metal.
