There's no specific reason. They've never stopped doing gigs (at least up to 2020) and each band member took some time for following own projects as well. Upon graduating from bachelor degree of psychology, Eva decided that it's time to make another album. Not only have they then realised that making an album requires a 100% investment in terms of time for all members of the band, they too realised that they want to do the new album in a different fashion. They've tried different things out (such as writing with different songwriters) since the way how to make an album has changed relative to writing and producing and recording. And they also needed to cope with the new studio situation; they've tried to figure out if it'd work for them when all work remotely or if they'd prefer to rather be in the same place (which they did). That's pretty much about it what they've said.
