Very educational video for developers who are looking to promote their games and even their devlogs on social media. The toxicity and support level really helps alot!!!
Thanks mate. About 30 mins a day or less keeps the ball rolling. Establishing n signing up is the time consuming part. Thanks for the music approval too 😁👍
Great video mate, definitely had some good and bad experiences on different platforms 😆 many thanks for the shoutout, and I’m looking forward to your next upload 💜
Lots of developer's discords have a section where you can promote your work. You won't reach out to pure gamers, but you can get good feedbacks from other people in the business
Hey mate - Cheers for the video, I'm an Aussie indie Solo Game Dev as well, also on struggle street with the social media side of things. Started a Devlog but man growing a following is tough! Good video thanks.
Fair dinkum cobba!?! XD I'll go check ya channel out =) Hope this vid helped! Yeah getting started is HEAPS tough these days. Gotta get on everything and connect with people, but watchout or the Orcs of Imguuuurr XD
Really useful and great advice. You are absolutely right being active on multiple platforms has a big advantage for overall reach and growth. Love the delivery and pace of the video 😃👏
promoting my stuff on social media awaits me in the very near future, so I will definitely have to watch this one! Time to sleep though, so adding to watch list :D
Maaaate. Top social media reviews. Actually listening while I finish my off final assignments of a social media management diploma.. I’ll hit you up when I graduate ;)
Thanks Cam!! Are ya gonna add toxicity levels in your assignment too? XD I reckon all I've said in this vid is relatable to alot of different fields. music etc
This is well edited paypercutts we pray the algorithm retention gods are kind to you. I would also recommend using Linktree for your bio link because there isn't that much space and that holds a bunch of different links for ya :D Also I think the thumbs down is also good because it shows engagement still :'D
Great tip for the link tree. My mate uses it for his graphic design business, but I kinda just use youtube as my base of operations XP, but I'll check it out regardless. Also yes, thumbs down is still engagement, as YT automatically reverses them if the viewer didn't watch at least a decent chunk of ya video, so that eliminates spam trolls. So if they are dedicated trolls, they are actually kinda doing me a favour by watching and engaging XD
Great tips and observations.Learnt quite a bit. Agreed reddit is really promising although they don't like anyone with a personality there unfortunately, and you better have a cliche feel good or sob story to go with the post to gain any upvotes, especially in the bigger subreddits.
I saw my game on your twitter feed. Back to business. Awesome "Twitter", Nice "Instagram" , Good for getting more views on TH-cam "Facebook and Discord" and now the Brutal "Reddit", "More Brutal like the worse have you ever tried game jolt it's so hard to get your post out there. And there's itch.io for me it's the best they literally push your post out to the public at least 4k people but they won't click if it ain't epik😁✌🏽. Nice video man
Wow that's really good to know, re Itchio. Thanks alot mate. I'll get an EPIC playable demo going sooner or later, then get that up on itchio with a steam link. I've never tried game jolt though
I like Reddit. It's where I got started learning about the Godot Game Engine. I feel like if you have a mind blowing mechanic or visual effect you can go far. But it can be easy to get shot down if you're lazy.
I think I've watch that short... but will watch again to compare notes n have a giggle. I think the trick is not to respond to the trolls n haters n fun police
Heyo! Sorry if I'm all over a previous covered subject. But Reddit usually is very anti self-promotion videos as reddit is a place for users but "not for companies" have you ever had some throwback on that or even had the threat of getting banned?
Thanks for watching! Only initially when I was shamelessly promoting everything I did in every possible group/thread, trying to get a leg up. I hadn't been a reddit user at that point at all, and quickly figured out what to do, what not to do and where got the best results. Some videos get good feedback and views depending on where you post them. To sum it all up quickly, each reddit group is like it's own little community with its own rules and tolerances etc
Thanks Iggy pooh pooh. I liked though. Try taking lotsa random nature or building or landscape shots while walking around town, then upload with lotsa hashtags in the post

I can't imagine handling all the platforms. You have mad energy.
I also recognized songs in the background. Nice music taste.

Cheers ears! Yeah I've been doing that a bit here n there, but it kinda feels like I'm walking into Subway, eating McDonald's or something 🤣
Extremely helpful! Way more in-depth and analytical than I originally anticipated, definitely will be using some of the tips discussed in your video
Yeah I'm a new youtuber, learning as I go, as to what kind of content works best for my audience. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment Ed =)

Hi Seth. That's awesome = )

Holy crap imgur was spot on! I'd get downvoted so fast on there, even if the pictures are awesome
The Orcs n Trolls are restless there. They smell fresh meat from a mile away 🤣
So where to post it? On my wall with 0 followers? XD thats not marketing lol
