Sally Cain Thank you so much, that's really sweet of you! 😄 I haven't been filming tutorials regularly for very long... also I'm not on any famous design teams. Easy does it. ☺
What an adorable card! I love the simplicity of your design and the interactive elephant with the rainbow! It is so fun looking and I would love to give it a go! Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity with with us.
Her tutes are always S U C H a JOY!! And the extra layer of the head of the elephant to cover the brad was that engineering extra step that sets Laura’s cards apart from “just stamp, color, and sign” projects!!
I love this so much I’ve added it to my how to make and watch later, just to make sure I find it lol. When I started making cards again after a working break (I had a baby and went back to work no time to craft) I made cards for my son and I liked to make things like this. I also would make them for my nephew and write a poem inside about what he had to do. One was he had to catch a whale, stuck behind it folded up was a cheque for his birthday. He loved all the cards I made him, my sister still has them even though he is now 29!! I’ll be off to watch some more, I have also subbed and liked....thank you. Hugs xxxAnnxxx
Thank you so much, Ann! I loved reading about your cardmaking... the poem inside is a great idea. ^_^ Here's the first card that I made for my nephew (an interactive card with three mechanisms): th-cam.com/video/LtzuiHX5_Dc/w-d-xo.html He loved it! Hugs Laura
Oh, Ann!! You SOOO need to see if your sister will take photos (videos?! 💕) of your wonderful gifts, and see if you can put them on Laura’s blog or some such!! I don’t usually stray away from Y.T., but I’d do so to see your treasures! Be well!
LAURA … Do we have your days spent in TECHNICAL DRAWING to thank for your DELIGHTFUL t e c h n i c a l l y animated cards?? I, for one, sincerely thank you for toughing through those classes, dear Girl!! 💕 🫶 💕
@@Laura_Dovalo You show a talent for it even though you doubt yourself! “N E V E R tell yourself negative things. It becomes a woeful habit wherein THOSE will be more likely to come true than the positive ones! “. Be well, talented Friend!!
Thank you so much, Ellen. You would either have to use an "On the Edge" cutting plate or cut half the circle. Of course, there is always the option of using a craft knife, but I know it's difficult to get it perfect. Were you planning on using an elefant or a character with an arm, like in this card that I made with a Paper Smooches stamp? th-cam.com/video/-J-HsHwtfbk/w-d-xo.html
@@sujatadhar6593 (( Because Laura apparently didn’t see your question, and then respond, let me see if I can help. “Can you pull off the stacked circles d.i.y.?”. The answer is YES. You can draw concentric circles using a “compass” (two pieces of metal hinged together on one end, with one having a pointed piece of metal on the end, and the other having a clasp used to secure a pencil). I’d make each of 5 circles ⭕️ on a different color of paper about 3/16” wide, and each one with a diameter of 3/16” less than the previous one; that’ll give you just about an INCH of width for your rainbow, and will give you an approximation of the necessary size of your critter’s “reach”, be it an elephant’s trunk, or a monkey’s arm, or maybe a Gnome’s arm? And clouds can be made pretty easily. So … I hope this gives you some info to help you D.I.Y. this darling card. Be brave, kid! Give it a try! ))
What “Thing” are you referring to?? There’s a selection of “Free Elephant Cartoon Clip Art” critters available on the web. Print one out and make sketches to adapt one of your choice. For the “rainbow wheel” , use a large scalloped punch, or a scalloped die. If push comes to shove, you could m a y b e reach out to a Stampin’Up rep who m i g h t take pity on you, and share a few die cuts of the circle wheels with you. I would share from mine, but, the world being what it is, it’s too scary for us to share info. ☹️ 😩 😫 😭
How have you not got thousands of subscribers? Your cards are pure genius! Thank you!

Love this so much!! I have a normal Big Shot, how could I partially cut out the circle for the rainbow?

At 3:49 what is that thing on the paper please tell me ..is it a drawing or somekind of rotating machine??
It's a set of circular dies, to cut the rainbow with my Big Shot die cutting machine. 😁
@@Laura_Dovalo can it be homemade by any other materials...and what pin did you use to join the elephant parts ??
