Yeah, liked that moment too. One can only imagine how dull a press tour must be for a star like JT. Suddenly there is this guy who eats spicy chicken wings for a living who tells him: "Of course I know who you are, but I will not treat you anything more or less than a human being faced with these insanely hot wings. Hot Take: Sean Evans studied and practiced social psychology. He does a whole lot to make the guest more comfortable or like him more. He mirrors their words and movements, affirms their ideas, and he swears (very sparsely). In the end, he’s such a GREAT interviewer.
S well I don’t think it’d be too hard to learn a few simple techniques and practice them to get good at his actual job. He probably wouldn’t be able to teach social psych. But I think it’s like being a talented guitar player without actually being a professional musician.
I just love how Sean never rephrases the question in the same manner when a guest asks him to repeat. He's already prepared and just comes in with a new approach to the question. Also, JT is love ❤️🙌

Petition for Iggy Azalea. She’s very human and chill during interviews, even her older ones when she first started out. I saw her do an interview where she ate sour candies and she never budged lol, I think she’d have fun on this show.
I really like the way hot ones interview the guests. It never feels like they are attacking them with awful questions. Everyone just enjoying themselves and hot wings 😂
I swear every single episode there is a light bulb going off moment where the guest says"wow you are really good" or" how do you know that, who have you been talking to?".
I wasn’t really impressed by the interview questions on this one. No mention of Mickey Mouse club, Britney Spears, N’Sync, Janet Jackson incident, how he got with Jessica Biel, more about working with Timbaland... felt kind flat
3:11 Underrated moment in this interview: When Sean talks Justin Timberlake into relaxing by convincing the guest that the interview is an honor and an achievement for the interviewer, not a gotcha-seeking vehicle exploiting the guest. And it's dope because you can see the moment both of them look each other in the eye and get on the same page about the experience.
Yeah i guess for some celebs they are always worried the interviewer is trying to start drama or get dirt or stir up controversy meanwhile Sean is just a bro making good content via some of if not the best interviewing questions.
Sean is by far the best celebrity interviewer around. The hot ones team does an unparalleled amount of research on their guests. He's the new "gold standard" for the industry imo. I hope this show goes on until Sean physically can't continue it.
@@JSp4wN nardwuar's research is deeper and imo better (and visibly freaks guests out in s way that sean doesn't). Sean's likeability and chemistry with guests is much better though.
I credit Sean. He keeps these guys at ease, asks them real questions, gets them to talk about their passions, and they seem like real human beings instead of mythical asshole creatures. And the wings knocking them down a peg helps. 😂
@@Abdul_-wr8yt @11:08, they are talking about when JT filmed Friends With Benefits with Mila Kunis where Woody Harrelson played JT's boss in the movie.
Actually got to meet JT and Jessica Biel at random in NY back when he was touring 2020 experience. It surprised me how super genuine he was on a human level while at the time clearly displaying signs of being burdened by fame. I still look fondly back on that memory as a sort of breaking the fourth wall when it comes to celebrity status. They are all people at the end of the day.
Woody Harrelson is lowkey one of the great living actors. He's not a showboater, he just puts in the damn workand he's always always convincing. I used to laugh at him too for that Rampart IAMA, but really he just didn't understand wth was happening y'know? Like, on the junket you talk about the movie you're pushing and he figured it was just more of that. Not that my fuckin opinion matters but I forgive him lol.
My favorite thing in Hot Ones is when they get to the “dab”. Sean always says, “You don’t have to” and just about every single person gets that look, like “Oh no bro, it’s on now”. Love it!
The show description should be "celebrities answer questions that they weren't asked" because I feel like the further down the hot sauce line they go, the more off topic their answers become as they struggle to think through a response. J wasn't too bad, but some of these interviews can be really funny as you watch them to try answer while they mouth is on fire and after talking for a couple of minutes they never really end up answering the question they were asked. Great interviews though, Sean is so fantastic at interviewing!
I think I've found my new favorite interview. Sean carries himself with such class and realism. I love a good realist. And JT is always such a fucking treat. Amazing episode!
I believe in most interviews I've seen of Justin he's been either bored or uncomfortable so it's so refreshing seeing him just being himself, having fun and even saying he'd def come back
i feel like he got better throughout the show because of the wings! they loosen the guests up. a lot of guests imo are mediocre and get better as the show goes on... and ofc sean is just always great no matter what.. so that always helps.
Sean brings that out in more reserved people. When he interviewed Wale (who i think can be a tough interviewee) i knew he was awesome. Like he held his own on that one.
My favorite part of this whole show is getting to see the real person and not the Hollywood persona of that person! Still a great show guys! Keep them coming!
They showed that one picture of sean in highschool in an earlier episode and he had had the same curly do that justin had at one point, the ramen style.
This guy has been constantly entertaining me since I was a little kid and NSync came out. Shouts to him and hot ones for dropping and episode with all the chaos right now!
He seems like a really decent person. Also, I actually rather liked that movie In Time, which was an okay movie when it'd have been a shit one without him.
@Random dude if you check out the interview he's clearly being tongue in cheek, and thats right after he was saying how privileged he feels to be able to move away to his second home.
I laughed out loud a lot during this interview, but when he asks, "Is there cyanide in this?" And then picks up the bottle to read the ingredients, like there might actually be poison in the sauce, i died! Later he's like, "I'd do this again."

You mean more boring celebrities? Can anyone feel more showbiz fake than Timberlake?
The thing that impresses me most about this show is when the guest is is shocked of how good a question they get from Sean.
don't know if you know this already, but there are actual compilation videos of impressed interviewees
I swear every single episode there is a light bulb going off moment where the guest says"wow you are really good" or" how do you know that, who have you been talking to?".
Yeah I saw that but it still amazes me up to this day. Goes to show how great these guys are at what they do

You can see how humbled and honor JT was by Sean's explanation for why he does hot ones 🥰
@@JSp4wN nardwuar's research is deeper and imo better (and visibly freaks guests out in s way that sean doesn't). Sean's likeability and chemistry with guests is much better though.
In other words manipulation
Probably the episode I went in with the lowest expectations and came out with the most profound respect for the guest for their professional skills
These interviews are always so genuine. Even if I'm not a fan of the celebrity, I always love them by the end of the video.
Some I didn't even knew, then got me thinking... WOW this person is great I have to become a fan!
I credit Sean. He keeps these guys at ease, asks them real questions, gets them to talk about their passions, and they seem like real human beings instead of mythical asshole creatures. And the wings knocking them down a peg helps. 😂

Once Sean brought up banging on buckets, JT was putty in his hands
I think certain celebrities play close to the chest. Justin has been famous since he was a kid. I think that's normal
Can anyone feel more showbiz fake than JT?
My favorite thing in Hot Ones is when they get to the “dab”. Sean always says, “You don’t have to” and just about every single person gets that look, like “Oh no bro, it’s on now”. Love it!
Lisa CJ you tell someone they shouldn’t or don’t have too. And most of the time they will do it
The show description should be "celebrities answer questions that they weren't asked" because I feel like the further down the hot sauce line they go, the more off topic their answers become as they struggle to think through a response.
