    The handling was so good that chief police officers and gangsters adopted them. In France the Traction 15CV had the nickname of ‘Queen of the Road’. Leg room for the back passengers were quite unusually ample.

    Not compressed air, it was nitrogen in the suspension spheres. The 15/6 came out in 1938 but the 15/6 H (H meaning hydraulique) was introduced in 1955 to road test the hydraulic suspension that was to be used in the DS. Not all English-built cars were the Light 15 which was the same size as the 11BL -(Berline Legere) and there was the English Big 15 which was the same size as the 11B-(Berline Normale) and there was the Big 6 which was the same as the 15/6. They were English built for tax reasons in a plant in Slough, in a London suburb.
