The salesman talked me into taking an RG500 for a test ride as well, ended up going home with that. Can't say that I was ever disappointed in my choice, except maybe fuel economy, the RG was a beast of a bike. You've done a great job of restoring the old girl.
I bought an "87 new, in blue, and put 34Kmiles on her. Seeing your beautiful restoration is very satisfying and makes me yearn for my old bike. GREAT JOB ! (P.S. Hearing Missing Persons playing in the background was awesome too, and period correct:)
Did u jet those carbs? I see K&N filters and I just went back to the stock OEM airbox with my 86-750G. FIngers crossed, I just put the OEM jets back in and will try to tune her this month with the OEM box.
Mikuni RS-34 flatslides and APE filters. Stock jetting but have the needles dropped all the way down. Running V&H Powerpak and a Yosh racing exhaust from the old days. Runs well aside from a flat spot at 4K. I've been saying for 20-years she needs to go on the dyno to sort her out but I've never bothered. 😁These run real well if you use the stock CV carbs with the airbox. If you have an aftermarket exhaust some rejetting may be required.

It's a common part if you are referring to the clutch cover gasket. Suzuki Bandit used them well into the 2000s. go to either Bike Bandit or Ron Ayers and you can see the electronic parts fiche.

Bought a new '87 blue GSXR 750 at 19 years old and unfortunately totaled it a year later.
35 years later I still miss that bike

Glad you enjoyed the bike and the music my friend. One of my buddies bought this one in '88 as a leftover, and I got it from him in '91.
