Hello, Jim! JC definitely goes the extra mile on detail, but it comes with a price in other areas. Nice work adjusting the wires and getting the decoder in! Hopefully, it will continue to run as nicely as it looks!
Nice walk through the trials and tribulations of your work on the Ventus and it seemed that any blanking plate would have been too large for the access they gave you. Looking forward to seeing the end result and good luck with the maintenance loco. Great video, Jersey Bill
Thanks Bill..The Robel shoud be rebuilt soon , that was a real downer , its all part of the hobby and life everybody makes mistakes no matter how good we are..
Hi Jim, if they can produce great items like this image what they could do to the HST and APT Hornby have hogged for decades, A&H models have some superb Rivarossi and Jouef locomotives on review in the last few days, the dashboard lighting is amazing along with the detailing, it’s hard to believe Hornby own these companies with some of the not so great items they churn out and overcharge for on a regular basis, anyway these European models are absolutely stunning on every level, thanks for sharing.
Hi , This is a very special model , its not perfect but its detail on the paint , roof, and decal are very good, I am sure it will work superb on my system , the fact you can program the chip and test with only the drive car on the test track is really good .
Hi Jim how you accidentally "burn" the chip and I have been there too but it is because i was lazy to off the power or remove the locomotive away from any live power source. My Laziness cause me huge money in sending back the decoder to the factory for repair.
I know... Ive blown the last chip in a similar way when the speaker touched the steel body of my Usa loco fitout..My supplier is very good as sometimes he will exchange the chip even thow it was my mistake...
Great 'how to' Jim!! Thanks again for sharing! Cheers Onno.
Thanks Next vid wil follow soon..
