I love this Cathy. Definitely a fan of ink blending on coloured or patterned papers to make them work for my cards but without the time involved of blending a full background
I have really started to do more easy, simple and clean cards due to your inspiration. And honestly, I really like what I'm creating now and find more satisfaction in my card making. And, I would get the original size. You can fit larger cards and do more fun techniques, like using it to hold your layered stencils.

Love all of your card inspiration. Do you typically leave your cards blank in the inside or do you add sentiments later?
I leave them blank most of the time. I like room to handwrite my message!

Cathy, does your embossing machine just take the two clear plates? I have arthritis in my hands and it would be great not to have to deal with a heavy platform.
It uses two clear and I tape two green double sided die plates to each clear plate. Very easy to use. : )

Hi Cathy. I recently purchased a small kallax unit from Ikea, and a couple of stamp n storage drawer inserts which I love. I have hesitated about the card stock storage because of sun fading the paper edges. Do you find that to be a problem, or do you cover your card stock storage (which I see in background) with something to prevent fading?? Thx.

Cathy, you should add the tree that was left behind when you trimmed down the card front and add that as a strip to the inside of your card. I think that would be a nice surprise when someone opens it.

I have tried to ink onto color cardstock, and it sucks the color right up, and I could barely see it. Do you think the type of cardstock matters? Did I do something wrong? Thank you.
It might just be the shade of ink pad! Go darker!
I wish Simon says stamp made one side of the adhesive dot sheets a different colour, it would make life easier.

Loved this video. 🤩 The coordinating ink on colored card stock is such a great idea and I can’t wait to try it. Fussy, complicated cards have their place, but I think I fall in the “less is more” camp.

Your hair is sooo beautiful Catwhisperer. How do you keep it so shiny? I just got my highlights and lowlights done today. It’s been a long time since I’ve grown my hair this long. I spent 2 years with NO hair during and after Chemo. I had great insurance though and managed a wardrobe 😅of 13 wigs. I met a lot of women young and old that didn’t have good insurance and I gave them away a little at a t8me. I’m so vain that I wasn’t afraid of the cancer killing me, I just hated not looking pretty. There wasn’t anything that made me angry, except one thing. I lost all my hair except on my legs. Talk about feeling cheated. We’ll, I just went on strike and refused to shave my legs. Lol. I had good days and some not so great days. A good day was when I didn’t have to chase my wig in the Walmart park8ng lot on a windy day. Lol. Being a Gemini, I loved being different women every day. Lol. What a great experience. I learned so much.
Deb, hair oil. That's what helps. I use the JVN Hair Oil. My hair is not very shiny anymore without it! But you have to strike the right balance. Too much? And you look like a grease ball. Merry Christmas.
