    I'm Kuki of Nagaland, India. Bro. You did a very interesting documentation. I heard about Falam from many old-folks of ours. They used to say , 'at the time of our ancestors in Falam---' while narrating our ancestral stories. Thank God, there's not so much difference in our dialect and I truly take pride being born as Chin/Kuki by which we're popularly known 🙏🙏🙏

    I'm Thadou Kuki from Manipur and this dialect is alot easier to understand than Mizo language.

      @@pynsanmarbaniang2972 bro, basically the Kukis of Manipur, Mizos of Mizoram and Chins from Chinstate (Myanmar) are the same people with different names. Previously, the present day Mizos were known as Lushai Kuki. But they changed the name into Mizo in the 1950s since they believed Kuki is not an indigenous name but given by others. We the Chin Kuki Mizo , we share the same culture and tradition, with similar languages although not completely similar. But if you learn Kuki dialects, you will be able to understand somehow of Chin and mizo too and vice versa

      Don't say Mizo language , it should be Lusei (Duhlian) language because Mizo is not a tribe name Mizo means High lander, in Mizoram most of us used Lusei (Duhlian) language some say Mizo tawng (language) but it is not

      ​@@melslefttoe6434 Mizo and Zomi are not the same. For Mizo Zo means hills , so Mizo means high landers or people from the hills. For the zomi , Zo is a person name, who is the progenitor of the Zomi people. And also the descendants of the Zhou dynasty of China , and back to Joseph (Jo) .

      @@jamesboth3785 Actually, people from Mizoram decided on the name Mizo because before that it was called the “Lushei hills”, and they didn’t want only 1 ethnic group to be represented. Because the Lushei hills also had other tribes like the Gangte, Simte, Paite etc. they chose the name “Mizo” and renamed “Lushei hills” as Mizoram

    Interesting introduction, but would you be so kind as to provide me with more information about your specific culture, i.e. not Christianity, writing, etc., which is legitimising the struggle and has survived the last decades? At this point, its language and few remaining tribal structures, or not? Rituals, animistic religions, world views, what has survived?

      @@lsticker1144, yes! The Lai people were/are known by many names. Eg: The Lusei/Mizo call them Pawi. The Bawm, Pang, Tlanglau etc in Chittagong, Bangladesh are also the Lai people. They migrated to their present settlement from Falam and its nearby areas in about 1750-1770 AD.

    U did gud. But, u have misinterpreted the word Tlaisun by trying to pronounce it as Western accent. To preserve our culture, u should admire our affairs such as language. No need at all to pronounce it as Westerners did. Colonial hangover must kill us if we continue to act like this. Pls use our own language and accent. There is no Taisun or Tashon people. It is rather Tlaisun people.

      The tribe called themselves Taisun. Prior to British invasion the Burmans (from Kalay-Kabaw valley) also called them Tashons which is the closet pronunciation to the name of the tribe Taisun. The British also called them Tashons.
