    My wife bought a pair of the Superblasts in March for my bday and I finally started using them in June. I love them so far and honestly I like the stiffness of the shoe at slower paces. Maybe I'll look at the Superblast 2 late this year, but I'm also excited to see how the NB Balos turns out.

    Hmm... The foam upgrade sounds nice but will the spring/bounce last as long as version 1? V1 were good for 400+ miles. I've abused the heck out of mine on trails, a Marathon PR, Speedwork, and recovery runs❤

    • @peterledrew2556

      Great point, the initial thoughts might all appear an improvement early on but a change in midsole could likely change the longevity and ride characteristics over time. We all know how much better V1 became with use so will this ride improve or stay the same or decrease with use?

    I believe the Rubber compound on SB1 was actually AHA+, which is a longer lasting rubber, than AHA which is found on Novablast. Q. what is the SB2 Compound anyone? Reason if more luggy, will wear down faster, Saucony did this in their Speed shoes, to reduce longevity. Mine went from over 500 miles to 150.. Between versions. Be warned trust no Brand especially if they change thw name ir tread pattern.

    As someone with low flat feet and pronation who is currently doing very well in the Guide 17, how is the Superblasts stability compared to that?
    I think Matt liked the Guide 17s as well and might have a clue for me?
    I also have the Kayano 30, but something about them is too much for me (softness or the guidance) so the low profile stability of the Guides work great. Hoping I might be able to progress into a stable superfoam shoe like this one!

    Are they true to size this time? Version one was was 1/2 size too long. Just like the Novablast and most other Asics shoes if you went 1/2 size down they would feel too small.

      Sizing seems to be different opinions on the reviews for the new superblast. .. I am size 10.5 on alot of shoes including the ASICS kayano but clearly had to size down to 10 for the original superblast ... Should I stick with the 10 ? Or go back up to 10.5 ? I like to have room in the toe box ?@@DoctorsofRunning

      Under or over pronation is only a problem if it affects your knees or ankles.

    • @Amber-wz9et
      @Amber-wz9et 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have a similar problem. I pronate (on my right foot more than the left). I was fitted for a stability shoe and it hurt my ankles. Then I moved to a neutral shoe (Brooks Ghost) and they worked for a while until my knees started hurting. I bought the SB1 and honestly I've had no pain. I'm still blown away by them after a couple hundred kilometres. I know everyone is different, but the SB1s definitely work for me. I will be getting the SB2 as well. Good luck!

    Kudos to you, but I would not bother to test every pair that shows at my doorstep if I were in your position, guys. As far as I know you all have real jobs and DOR is a fun project but that's it.
    Everybody in the comments is like "But how it compares to this, how it compares to that... I need stability, I need shoe for this and this injury... There is a TON of shoe reviews out there, if DOR hasnn't review them (yet), then compare the shoe to the closest thing that exist and look for a review of that. Or just wait, they will get to it eventually.
