its bugs arent too impactful atm, its mainly just its dmg sucks. Its hard to compete with a spec that can essentially frozen ice lance every global for 5 mins.
You can fix spellslinger by simply having a build that prioritizes lances over glacial spike. I feel like glacial spike is the main component that really can lead to punishing gameplay. Although sometimes it aligns perfectly and feels really good. Other times it just feels like I’m wasting a ton of procs because glacial spike is a long cast. Or even better, just make splinter storm make glacial spike instant cast.
I think I am still used to playing around GS. I need to practice playing around splinter storm instead. This was a great teaching video, appreciate all the content you put out for my small brain.
Man, I really dislike how weird, conditional, and borderline degenerate our playstyles have gotten across Frost and Arcane. There are some cool thematic things about Hero Talents, but I'm still unconvinced that all of this added complexity (for Mages at least) is a benefit.
Arcane is still relatively OK, but Frost has become stupidly degenerate. It needs a whole scale rework and reconsideration of how frequent FoF/Winter's Chill should proc. The fact that Glacial Spike is barely even worth casting BECAUSE of how many FoF/WC procs we get is a testament to just how moronic the power budget of this spec has become. I'd love for it to go back to a more cast-oriented spec. That's what I enjoy so much about Arcane; the fact that Arcane Blast still feels relatively good to cast. Frostbolt & Fireball both feel utter shit to press because they simply don't do any damage and because you're saturated with procs.
Im into Wow for about 2 weeks now (very new to all of this) and try to learn Frost Mage. What am i doing wrong if i dont get a lot of Orb procs in my st rotation. Sometimes i have them basically up all the time, sometimes i just have one ore two procs in my entire icy veins rotation. Watched your other videos as well, but still kinda confusing to me, since you are very fast in explaining :D my brain is about to explode...
Its completely rng in st at least. Generating splinters just has a 2% chance to reset orbs cooldown. And those are generated through shifting power/consuming winters chill/orb being out.
@@Crowdey Well playing correctly gives you more splinters which makes it more consistent, so you could be missing out on a lot of splinter generation through less ideal play.
I’m enjoying the frost gameplay and enjoyed the vid - very happy they are replacing spell slinger applying Winters chill with brain freeze procs - wish they would do that right now.
Super helpful, I definitely have been sabotaging myself with bad management of my global cooldown window when the splinterstorm warning pops up (purple snowflake)
Hello Manather, do you think the following stats are good for a Frost Mage? Critical Hit: 18% Haste: 31% Mastery: 22% Versatility: 4% *Without raid buffs Thanks in advance
Dude i really like ur videos but sometimes ur voice sound weird, you talk'like a robot and its difficult to understand what u say as a non native english speaker
trinket comment was regarding pre-raid, spymasters is op af. VOD for other bosses: www.twitch.tv/videos/2249629441
I hope that frostfire gets its bugs fixed and brought up to at least mirror spellslinger - I found the gameplay and visuals a lot better.

How important is the 4 pc set? Not sure if i should drop to lfr lvl of gear to complete it.
What the priority of ray of frost and flurry?

You did have two unempowered while you were scrolling there was another 112k ice lance
So when the wa is purple we should cast a gcd and then an IL. What when you have no IL, no cms and no orb you start casting a gs when it's purple ?
yeah
Why do my icicles not turn purple?
we dont start with comet + ray anymore ? also why ure not streaming anymore ? -_-
Correct, and I am streaming. The pinned comment has a link to the vod.
Uff my idol
Trying to play around splinterstorm procs on 5 fps in these heroics is horrible

@@Manather Thanks you for your reply. I thought I was doing something horrible wrong, but I'm probably rather unlucky then.

been trying to find a breakdown like this, thank you so much!
frost in the current iteration is terrible gameplay. how they released it in this condition is beyond me. you are a cutie though Manather.
I was looking for this!!!!!!!! Please please please make this for all the bosses!
Dont think ill make it for all the bosses, but you can always watch my twitch vod to see that.
Another r1 in the books, wp man
Amazing video, thanks... I got a question what is the name of the weakaura that show you finger of frost petals?
when a guide for the Spellsiner with the last chances?

Lord this spec is hard to master

Yes, but stats generally matter less than everyone thinks. I prioritized arcane stats over frost ones for my frost set and only lost 0.2% dps.
