Highlights of Bricky's playthrough of Mass Effect 1 video game stream - เกม
Editor left out the part where Liara was speaking about how the Asari can boink every race and chat was like: 'writers barely disguised fetish'
It's actually canon that the Proteans genetically engineered the Asari as sex slaves.
Blue tentacle head
Its not even disguised honestly
Bricky is releasing some good sh*t lately.
Bricky don’t miss

"this is where Ashely comes in, i think"
knowing damn well he knows ever gesture and digital fart they make in the game, but oh no. mans only thinks this is where she comes in
ah yes, the game hasn't even began and the eternal war between engineer mains and adept mains started. Also, bugs.
Never watched or played Mass Effect gonna get stoned, order a Carmel Apple, and see how this is 😂
A man of culture
Unironically do yourself a favor and play it
Please go play it, one of the greatest trilogies in gaming, it's totally worth
"Wow Shepherd, you killed all those zombie Batarians."
"They were zombies?"
Playing mass effect 1 at the time: "holy shit what a gaming experience!" Watching mass effect 1 gameplay now: "holy shit, this game performs like mud"
Just completely spoiled by ME2
@@mrjtfang2 one of the greatest game sequels of all time
Once again we witness Ashley Williams commit the cardinal sin of being right about the council.
People talking about Shadowheart like she's the best romance when Karlach is literally RIGHT THERE, smh
Or better, Karlach romance AS Shadowheart
The only correct answer.
I know Garrus is the ULTIMATE BRO in the Mass Effect series
But HOLY SHIT I forgot how ASSSSSSSSSSSS he was in ME1
Bricky every minute: “Garrus is down again.”
it mildly pains me to watch the bripple clown on a game I hold so near and dear to my heart lmao but he's not wrong
The sign of a good game is you being able to shit on it relentlessly and still loving it.
if you get talli before wrex, wrex is waiting at csec. he only goes away if you tell him to.
hardest part of me1 on insanity is in novaria when you trigger the neutron bomb. it took me like a dozen tries to get through that one damn room.
Wow Bricky being a council apologist was not on my bingo card for this playthrough
Fr you literally see a reaper on eden prim :p nah nah maybe the council is right bruh
Enemies hurt alot on insanity... but its hard for enemies to hurt you if they can't stay on the ground. But the frame drops on the 360 version can suck.
9:31 worse than shields, they have RNG. Despite it playing like a 3rd person shooter Mass Effect 1 (not sure about 2 or 3) takes stats into account when you shoot. You technically can be within a foot from a bad guy, with a sniper rifle zoomed into their nostril and there is still a chance your shot will not hit. It was one of the more infuriating parts about the early game for ME 1.
They made it better for LE. You can actually shoot guns with *some* accuracy without any skills now. The original Shepard wouldn't have made it through basic training...
a part of me was hoping bricky got shep's face texture modded to be his and it was going to look really bad and funny
cant wait for the muscle memory R tap to reload to kick in.
I dont know what that means. Care to educate me?
@@KolmManison ME1 don't have a reload, weapons overheat. But if you play shooters a lot, you press reload button instinctively, and it does nothing, and you're confused
PS. Original comment was about grenade binded to R button in original, but they changed that in LE, so I forgot about it, and I leave my original comment as reminder of shame
@@KolmManison in ME1 you dont need to reload. all weapons have heat sinks that cooldown over time.
Grenades are keyed to R.
everytime after a gun fight i tap R to reload without thinking and throw a grenade. often against the wall right infront of me.
@@nickvanachthoven7252 oh that's riiiiiight. I forgot ME1 did that (I never played 1, I started at 2). I forgot my friend who introduced me to the series had a built that let him shoot forever cuz his heat sink is that good
I always thought mass effect was a war story but looking at the video so far I’m surprised to see it’s a cop story
First game: Space cop taking down rogue agent
Second game: Space-cop-turned-rogue-agent taking on a suicide mission to save an entire sector
Third game: Hero fighting a losing war to save the entire galaxy
It escalates about once per game.
I’m the only Mass Effect fan it seems that likes the Mako
I also like the mako because it's goofy in the best way
I only played me1 via legendary edition and i enjoyed my mako experiences mostly lok
I love the Mako.
Certainly better to drive with a controller.
Mako is the best worst vehicle ever designed
Im currently doing my very first play through of the mass effect series, I literally finished mass effect 1 a week ago and am halfway through the second, and the universe has decided this is the moment bricky releases a mass effect video. What is going on hahah
I'm Commander Sheppard, and this is my favorite Stream on the Citadel.
Oh right, I forget that Shepard can be a male character. Looking forward to the Big Stupid Jellyfish.
I make a male and female characters in all rpgs. Which served me well since you can't romance Jack and Tali as Femshep, which is a crime against humanity far as I'm concerned.
@@amaplicab12345678912 Unless explicitly stated otherwise all romance option characters should be bi. Baldur's Gate 3 helping pave the road on that.
It was something else watching his chat gaslight him into thinking Wrex would be deleted if he went to Fist's bar first. 🤣🤣🤣
Imo the gameplay of ME 1 is the best gameplay in the trilogy. Mostly as biotics are just so freaking fun.
Fun biotics, no thermal clips, less reliance on being a cover shooter and having more mobility.
*Leans forward and snaps* I GOT THAT REFERENCE!!!!
Love your Spaceballs references, amazing movie!
Tali's great, but nerdy archaeologist turned terrifying spymaster is just too strong. Come at me Talimancers.
No you’re right tho
That's fair. As a talimancer myself, my absolute objective take is that she is best girl therefore she deserves best boy Garrus. I love them together in ME3
Naaaah. I just know people like different things. Personally I like the space people that got bodied by their own creations because they're a bit too stuck in their ways.
I still love how their naming schemes work and how their ships are all just whatever they could scrape the credits together to buy up, then mount guns onto.
Liara is my favorite blue neurodivergent spave wife ❤❤
14:30 the moment Ashley almost became the Dragonborn instead of Shepard
Just finished playing Mass Effect for the first time and I’m glad Bricky is making the same changes to the settings as I did lol thought I was just weird
I started my own play through after years just the other day. This is fantastic to see you going through again
Bricky has some big bricks telling Talimancers when the player can recruit Tali.
Liara: "Missionary? We're going on a mission?"
It's crazy how Mark Meer is so dry as Shepard and yet he's so good as all the aliens he plays. Did this man just get 0 direction as the main character or something?
It’s probably because there are so many different ways to go about acting as Shepard because he’s the player character meanwhile the rest are NPCs have more set in stone stories. Plus add the fact it’s you who chooses the backstories of Shepard, it’s kinda hard to act as someone when they could have 100 different pasts.
@@sirsponge9633 I mean yeah, but Jennifer Hale's deliveries as Femshep are much less stiff than Mark Meer's are
@@cassandramaccarthy3337 we’re talking about 2 different actors here some things are just harder for some actors
@@sirsponge9633 I think it's a direction thing rather than an acting thing. Mark Meer can ACT and in later games he does really really well as Shepard IMO, I think it's like Matthew Porretta as Alan Wake. Dude was probably directed to be flat and it didn't work out very well
@@cassandramaccarthy3337 I didn’t mean to say that he couldn’t act and I do agree with you on that. He gets into the role much better as the games go on.
Great, now I want to play the whole trilogy all over again
Mass Effect Challenges are always fun to see. I did the full trilogy on insanity + extra mods as a Vanguard who ONLY used the Evicerator or Wraith (except combat arena, even i'm not THAT masochistic)
The two points that nearly broke me were Grissom Academy (that open courtyard was absurdly hard, took me several days of trying) and the banshees on Earth which i did over the course of a week. Everything else was hard but doable.
Well put. The point (imo) is the journey. As someone who recently almost checked out of the journey early (adverse health event) I have one focus now: be present and strive for for Edgar matters
Oh man ME2 Sentinel is going to be brutal for a looong time
Engineer ME1 is going to be a nightmare but at least ME3 will be a breeze
I really~ don't get the Mako hate. Just don't use the boost on an incline, easy. That thing can climb if you take it at an angle.
ME1 was the first game i ever beat, i never cared how it was more unpolished than gamecube games id been playing before xbox came out. I love the game with all its janky faces and weird systems..and thank the council they fixed the sway on snipers in the remastered
When i first played throught the Mass Effect games i knew about some of the memes, so i was expecting alot of the characters, so when Thane came out of nowhere and hit me in my feelings i genuinly shed tears. Man i wish games today were made with such good writing and characters.
Yeah, the paragon system always irritated me. I remember losing the end game paragon choice because I did ONE renegade thing which amounted to killing a jerk Krogan while he was monologuing instead of waiting for him to finish and THEN kill him. Kinda silly.
Also, yes we absolutely should have been able to date a Krogan!
The funny thing with Conrad Verner is that he actually counts towards your ME3 Galactic Readiness if you made the right seemingly random choices in 1 & 2.
i finished my first ever full mass effect 1-3 le insanity run yesterday. me 1 i had a few deaths like less then 10. me i2 i had about "alot" more deaths. collector ship was the hardest and horizon. me 3 only one fight almost broke me. clone shep.
ME3 depends on the class. Adept can have a pretty rough time. But Clone Shep is pretty terrible. Luckily I found a cheese strat :P
@@GuerillaBunny me 1 i played as adept. me2 as sentinel. me3 as engineer. (hacking turrets where the main reason for it)
@@florianfrueh3282Oh, a little evolution thingy there. Nice.
Yeah, I played it all as an Adept, I think. Especially the start of 3 was quite rough, but also some other stuff, like you generally needed guns for Banshees, for example, because of their nope-hand, and I didn't have Reave, because Kaidan was dead... Which is super dumb.
Now that you've completed a playthrough as adept, you can play as Vanguard and take Singularity as a bonus power for an even better class in 1.
Collector trap is definitely the biggest choke point in 2. Fun fact: Kasumi's Flashbang actually disables Harbinger's powers for a time, functionally making him harmless.
I only played mass effect 2 on insanity and it was enough to make it the only mass effect I beat on insanity.
ME2 is rough. ME3 is the easiest one on Insanity.
the steam overlay notes was a great tip, damn!
Bricky, there is a bomb strapped to my romba. I do NOT want a robot servant
Having played ME1 for the first time, I can confirm that an entire chunk of the storyline regarding Saren and the Reaper's existence would have been erased if the hyper sci-fi society invented body cams
Bricky getting whiplash from the improvements to the game 14 years after the original's release will never not be entertaining.
I just recently finished my first play through of the trilogy and I played Fem Shepard. An honestly the dialogue delivery isn't as funny but more serious. Funny to see male shepard
I recently played through the entire trilogy blind, the only thing I knew was that big octopus things that went BWWWAAAAA were the bad guys. Mass effect is easily one of my favorite trilogies ever made, tali and garrus will forever remain as some of my favorite video game characters. (The ending of 3 was a little stinky but it's not too bad)
Downloading Mass Effect legendary edition rn because of this video. I loved the Dragon age games and heard this is similar as well.
Dr Chakwas more like Dr Mommy
I feel you on asking your chat to stay becouse of how slow ME1 is, my roommate hated it until I got him to play ME2. Then he coudn't put the seris down.
Yay, brickster content
Got my insanity III achievement. It was rough
Garrus is down again...
How did he predict what I just started playing….this is insanity. Literally.
When you have to explain what paragon and renegade I know I am old
i replayed the whole trilogy on insanity when the legendary edition came out because i also did that when the games came out originally, and i ahd suppressed how godawful ME2 was on insanity. never again lmao
LETS GOOO hes playing to game to make that Mass Effect video finally... :).
Man, I may be a blasphemer for this, but I want to save both Kaidan and Ashley, I like them both.
Crazy as it may sound, there's a mod that does that.
23:54 HE SAID IT!
*loud fart horns*
ME1 Engi on Insanity is hell. Tech was so underpowered.
That said, not having a weapon skill on Sentinel is also hell.
Space to sprint. Welcome to O M N I B U T T O N.
Wow, Bricky playing a game but we can ACTUALY hear the game and the voice caracters make, am impresed.
i seen that shocker bricky respectable
Not 12 year old me who was addicted to that game and played throught it more than 8 times :,) Also as soon as i unlocked insanity i was always on that it's genuinely the best experience and if you know the game it gets decently easy too. I still love ME 1 it's imo the best of the trilogy. I loved it so much that all your abilities had seperate cooldowns that made biotic characters feel so cool. And i also liked the kind of "RPG" loot system with the customizable weapons and armor. I also felt the world building and alot of the npcs were a bit better than in 2. Last time i played it was when Legendary Edition came out so i should give it another go. And you should probably too;)
Yea me1 is the easiest to become insanely op in the fastest
Here before the Orion Hall and Turian platoon insanity levels
As someone who used to do a "play though the ME series on insanity-a-thon" ME1 is hard sure But ME2 does have the 3 health bar 3 total praetorians and our saving grace is they can't be spammed like Krogans in 1 (And i'd say even with that 2 is probs the best insanity experience cause it flows pretty well in all areas of length/levels and power scaling excluding a couple areas) also ya know enemys in me can just be stun locked
The final boss fight is still bugged if you try to use powers. Sucked cause I was an Adept on insanity and had to just use the guns or else the game froze during a cutscene
And Bricky is going to read on romances and how to get, try for a completionist run to ensure most crew mates don't die because the ones you hate add to the war assets of 3. But Bricky's ultimatum for ME1 is ensuring not to save Ashley because she's insufferable. Or as we like to call them, priorities.
"Liking a more interesting racist" is exactly how it goes in the ME fandom.
Wrex, Tali and especially Garrus are many more times more racist than Ashley through out ME1 and beyond (I'm looking at you Garrus for continuing to say the Genophage was a good idea in ME3) but Ashley gets shit on for being human, and therefore less interesting and hurting players feelings in ME2.
Don't forget the batarians. Killing batarians is a meme, and literally everyone shits on the vorcha.
Shits on Talimancers.
ME2 rolls around and goes with Tali. XD
Though honestly with how many people have never played Mass Effect in the chat Liara will likely be the best story-wise. Despite her forgetting you're even together from time to time.
45:25 Krogan Jumpscare
Oh it’s starting…oh let’s go!
Mass effect 1 is built different
what button is steam notes? i kinda wanna use this now
31:01 For the romance debate, I always thought of it like this for male shep: Tali, Jack, and Miranda would be great girlfriends, but Liara, would be an excellent wife. And then there's Ashley. Tactically nuke her every time lol
honestly, I still think liara works better as a best friend.
Also disagree on the analysis of tali, straight up.
Nah, Ashley's wife material with all that talk about family BBQs.
Hello surprised how early I am. I’m excited for the halo 2 stream today
Report to the ship as soon as possible. We'll bang okay.
Dude ME 1 on Insanity is a cakewalk compared to ME 2 and 3.
Then again I run Infiltrator and utilize my sniper rifles to do that bonus headshot damage...
Its not true that you have to pick a side in Mass Effect, at least not in LE. In ME2 I had both Renegade and Paragon almost maxed out and could pick both convo options most of the time during the playthrough, similar to ME1.
ME3 the only thing you miss out on is suiciding TIM at the end of Prio Earth if your not fully Paragon, but who cares, he and Anderson die anyways so I just fully embraced making a Shep with fixed priorities and a certain persona and chose whichever convo option fits best and never run into problems with speech checks.
i cant belive i missed this live because of my job
Corporal Jenkins, Richard L. The L stands for LEEROOOOOYYYYY JJJJJJENKINNNNSSSSS
As great as 2 and 3 are I ME1 is kinda my favorite of the 3? It has sucb a great setup to the universe and makes the Reapers these almost lovecraftian cosmic horrors steeped in mystery. I liked the simple gameplay mechanics (albeit somewhat clunky at times) and gear system too.
Idk mass effect 1 on the legendary edition is a little more forgiving than og mass effect 1. But if this is og than good luck bricky you’ll need it
Hey bricky, are you gonna play In Stars and Time?
53:02 literally measurehead
ME1 had the best combat in the trilogy.
So I assume that's not gonna include the combat arena DLC
I mean it's been a year...should I just restart ME?
I'm waiting for a sale of the legendary edition
garrus is down again, and not in a good way!
Hey I made it into the video! He played Sentinel but I hope he will play Engineer for ME2
I'll play ME1 on Insanity over ME2 Insanity ANY Day.
Man I'm, hearing Thane is 8th best and it 's fucking with me cause my name actually is Thane.
Edit: Hearing the Charge line for the first time was fantastic. As, someone who plays a lot of vanguard, Nothing beats countercharging a Krogan and blasti ng them in the face with a shotgun.
damn garrus is down again
Geth are basically cryptominers. 😱
STEAM HAS NOTES?!
Honestly engi most fun class any game past 1 lmfao
I did all three on insanity sweet Jesus was not fun
