ATN 600 series night vision scope the delay is so minute we’re talking milliseconds it’s not going to make a difference. But since I live out in the woods I’m already going to be set up I don’t have to go anywhere but I’m definitely going to see you coming you can believe that one I’ve already tried and did some practice runs a couple of the animals that I took out didn’t even know I was there. I agree, having a ITT pvs14 gen3+ with a amber filter n a 3 to 5x magnifying glass adds weight but is much better to bordering your view. Helmet with a Wilson L5S1 mount is a Must Have imho. The amber filter will help protect your eyes while viewing. If engaged, flip up n go Trijicon REAP-IR thermal on a double clamped mount specifically designed for the REAP-IR. You can have the baddest gun n you'll probably not go through to a mag change. It's that Important guys n girls. A must have for every family Patriots.

I've got a great story... One evening my wife asked me to take the trash down. I decided to wear my PVS14 monocular and grabbed the trash. Out the door and down the driveway in the dark. I noticed a couple walking their dog on the road with flashlights. I tried to slow down to let them pass but I ended up getting to the street as they were just past my driveway. They were talking to each other stating that they hoped it was a deer in the trees and ended up illuminating me with their flashlights. Boy were they shocked. I had to tell them that I was just bringing the trash down. I'm guessing they will never try and rob my house though .

I was blessed to have a friend find me a gently used blemless Elbit Gen 3 thin filmed green phos PVS-14 for $1950 shipped. Low Light Innovations makes a terrific "white" filter that essentially mimics white phos in appearance with limited light transmission loss for only $25. To save money on the mount, he suggested an "Evolution Gear L4G24 NVG Mount Perfect Replica" for only $85 shipped instead of the $465 for the real one, and the quality is phenomenal. I also picked up a used Wilcox AN/PVS-14 Arm for $150 shipped down from the original $229 price. Botach has a Longfri Level IIIA ballistic helmet for only $199 that is around 3 pounds, good quality for the price and there are lots of ballistic test videos on them. I also went with the FCS AMP Headset that is a fully functioning Replica of the Ops Core AMP for only $175 shipped down from $999 for the real one. I plan on running a Disco 32 PTT with them to get my Comms squared away. Although all of this stuff is still expensive, there are ways of making NVGs and Comms realistically affordable instead of an unobtainable pipe dream. I highly encourage yourself and others to do the same. I was able to have just as functional of a setup for a little more than $2,500 that would have been $7,500+ if I had gone "Gucci" on everything.

@@frostyvix5124 well true. But in a situation like that your normally gonna have the autogated feature also. That’s when u hit the pressure pad with an high lumen light. Use your free eye an rock out also. If that much light is coming at you. Most likely isn’t for a good reason and most with a half brain would pop onto regular white light use the non night vision eye soon as the autogation happens an it’s realized it’s a threat and sending the white light to. Just comes down to who’s quicker. Only downside to that would be prior to being light up by any ops the night vision guy probably already seen them and their position and everything else

And I would like to add that many of us believe that the rapture of the Church is a real thing, and believe it is coming within the next year. When one starts pricing out this type of gear it really makes one want to get back in the mil. Unfortunately some of us are too old to do that. lol We had 7's as standard issue downrange but one guy came up with a 14. When he wasn't out on mission and I was I'd borrow the 14 from him. Good stuff.
We have been backing up the 14s and 7s with leupold LTO thermal mounted on 3omm rings and mounted on rifles and PCC. They work fine for common distances and handle normal recoil
Wish I had the money, used to run an older Monocle in iraq. Driving humvees at 65+ with those was the shadiest shit I've ever done lmao. As soon as I get my fighting rifle done, I'm going to save for some. I'd even take some older milsurp stuff.
If you have a pvs14 and don’t have a ir weapon mounted light yet you can use the ir light integrated into the nod now it’s a temporary and constant on the on/off knob you have to pull the knob towards your body and turn you will see a red light through the nod Only con is that you have to use your support hand to deactivate it but intil you can get a ir light it can help it also can be used for communication without verbal to maintain security ( I put this comment during the video if he mentions it in the video…..sorry)

If you are on a budget and have to go with digital NVG's, I suggest the nightfox swift CQB unit. I have ran multiple digital units and the lag time is almost non existent with the nightfox swift. I keep it in my EDC go bag everyday.
For just basic seeing in the dark and cqb type situations, as long as you have a decent illuminator, you can’t go wrong with a night fox. I’ve got good gen 3 nods (agm pvs7 white phosphor) but I keep a few spare night fox digital units in my go packs to give to people in a shtf situation
For milspec comparable loadout that includes optics, NV, PEC15, radio comms, body armor, helmet with Wilcox mount, AR, basic load of ammo, you are north of 10K. Over 35 lbs BEFORE you through on your 50 lb ruck (50 lbs if you're lucky). It used to be cheap to lose things in the military. Now you must take out a second mortgage to cover the statement of charges.

While flying medevac we used binocular night vision with 80,000 light magnification but no zoom and could look down at a chart with no problem. We would go into a pitch black LZ and the set would turn off when we flipped up. We were informed they were $14,000 We would never use them when coming into any lit areas, since they would wash out and possibly injure the light collector. IR illuminators show where you are to others with nightvision. There are units with fusion vision which is night on one side and Infrared vision on the other side and are selectable.
A quick idea about nvg's killing your night vision... I cut a piece of red photography film and put it in the eye piece. This gives everything a red tint but the red light doesn't destroy your natural night vision. This is the same concept as pilots using red lights in a cockpit. I've done this for a long time with both digital and analog NV. 👍

The old Sony camcorders had pretty good infrared/night vision capabilities. Good for fixed position, scoping out around your house at night. NOT for fire fight, but useful for surveillance!
Do yourself a favor and compliment your IR with a FLIR C2 or C3 thermal imaging camera. 650$ isn't a bad price to be able to obtain a thermal camera. The FLIR C2/C3 has mounts that you can adapt to rifles and accessories to connect an optic lead to the eyepiece of a scope and boom thermal scope. Each FLIR model has a center point spot for temp of a specific area; sight the rifle to the center spot, works very well at 80+ yards. Nice video great info!

I have the Matbrock Tarsier, you set your NVG to 8' to Infinity then put the Matbrock Tarsier on and then you have 3" to Infinity without having to adjust your NVG. I run a PVS-14 GEN3 WP with Matbrock Tarsier on my right eye and a FLIR Breach PTQ136 on my left eye with a NoiseFighters Panobridge.

I agree, having a ITT pvs14 gen3+ with a amber filter n a 3 to 5x magnifying glass adds weight but is much better to bordering your view. Helmet with a Wilson L5S1 mount is a Must Have imho. The amber filter will help protect your eyes while viewing.
If engaged, flip up n go Trijicon REAP-IR thermal on a double clamped mount specifically designed for the REAP-IR. You can have the baddest gun n you'll probably not go through to a mag change. It's that Important guys n girls. A must have for every family Patriots.

I've got a great story... One evening my wife asked me to take the trash down. I decided to wear my PVS14 monocular and grabbed the trash. Out the door and down the driveway in the dark. I noticed a couple walking their dog on the road with flashlights. I tried to slow down to let them pass but I ended up getting to the street as they were just past my driveway. They were talking to each other stating that they hoped it was a deer in the trees and ended up illuminating me with their flashlights. Boy were they shocked. I had to tell them that I was just bringing the trash down. I'm guessing they will never try and rob my house though .

I was blessed to have a friend find me a gently used blemless Elbit Gen 3 thin filmed green phos PVS-14 for $1950 shipped. Low Light Innovations makes a terrific "white" filter that essentially mimics white phos in appearance with limited light transmission loss for only $25. To save money on the mount, he suggested an "Evolution Gear L4G24 NVG Mount Perfect Replica" for only $85 shipped instead of the $465 for the real one, and the quality is phenomenal. I also picked up a used Wilcox AN/PVS-14 Arm for $150 shipped down from the original $229 price. Botach has a Longfri Level IIIA ballistic helmet for only $199 that is around 3 pounds, good quality for the price and there are lots of ballistic test videos on them. I also went with the FCS AMP Headset that is a fully functioning Replica of the Ops Core AMP for only $175 shipped down from $999 for the real one. I plan on running a Disco 32 PTT with them to get my Comms squared away. Although all of this stuff is still expensive, there are ways of making NVGs and Comms realistically affordable instead of an unobtainable pipe dream. I highly encourage yourself and others to do the same. I was able to have just as functional of a setup for a little more than $2,500 that would have been $7,500+ if I had gone "Gucci" on everything.

Always remember to stay passive when using IR....Once you Illuminate with Active IR anyone else with IR can see your position. Just a little experience

@@frostyvix5124 well true. But in a situation like that your normally gonna have the autogated feature also. That’s when u hit the pressure pad with an high lumen light. Use your free eye an rock out also. If that much light is coming at you. Most likely isn’t for a good reason and most with a half brain would pop onto regular white light use the non night vision eye soon as the autogation happens an it’s realized it’s a threat and sending the white light to. Just comes down to who’s quicker. Only downside to that would be prior to being light up by any ops the night vision guy probably already seen them and their position and everything else

And I would like to add that many of us believe that the rapture of the Church is a real thing, and believe it is coming within the next year. However, the threat of civil war or some other threat is very real and very close, and it is impossible to kniw if it is going to take place before the rapture, but it is a definate guarantee after the rapture. Night vision ANd a dji mini2 drone. They will serve you well in protecting your zone.
Problem with the drone is it can lock you out of operating it depending on gps.

In the middle ages, peasant armies almost always lost to the professional knights, even when they had superior numbers. Not only did the knights have better training, and weapons, tactics, but they (unlike peasants) could afford armor. The modern equivalent of a knights suit-of-armor being hard body armor and NVGs. We had 7's as standard issue downrange but one guy came up with a 14. When he wasn't out on mission and I was I'd borrow the 14 from him. Good stuff.

We have been backing up the 14s and 7s with leupold LTO thermal mounted on 3omm rings and mounted on rifles and PCC.
They work fine for common distances and handle normal recoil

If you have a pvs14 and don’t have a ir weapon mounted light yet you can use the ir light integrated into the nod now it’s a temporary and constant on the on/off knob you have to pull the knob towards your body and turn you will see a red light through the nod
Only con is that you have to use your support hand to deactivate it but intil you can get a ir light it can help it also can be used for communication without verbal to maintain security

If you are on a budget and have to go with digital NVG's, I suggest the nightfox swift CQB unit. I have ran multiple digital units and the lag time is almost non existent with the nightfox swift.
I keep it in my EDC go bag everyday.
For just basic seeing in the dark and cqb type situations, as long as you have a decent illuminator, you can’t go wrong with a night fox. I’ve got good gen 3 nods (agm pvs7 white phosphor) but I keep a few spare night fox digital units in my go packs to give to people in a shtf situation

It used to be cheap to lose things in the military. Now you must take out a second mortgage to cover the statement of charges.

While flying medevac we used binocular night vision with 80,000 light magnification but no zoom and could look down at a chart with no problem. We would go into a pitch black LZ and the set would turn off when we flipped up. We were informed they were $14,000 We would never use them when coming into any lit areas, since they would wash out and possibly injure the light collector. IR illuminators show where you are to others with nightvision. There are units with fusion vision which is night on one side and Infrared vision on the other side and are selectable.

A quick idea about nvg's killing your night vision...
I cut a piece of red photography film and put it in the eye piece. This gives everything a red tint but the red light doesn't destroy your natural night vision. This is the same concept as pilots using red lights in a cockpit.
I've done this for a long time with both digital and analog NV. 👍

The old Sony camcorders had pretty good infrared/night vision capabilities. Good for fixed position, scoping out around your house at night. NOT for fire fight, but useful for surveillance!

Do yourself a favor and compliment your IR with a FLIR C2 or C3 thermal imaging camera. 650$ isn't a bad price to be able to obtain a thermal camera. The FLIR C2/C3 has mounts that you can adapt to rifles and accessories to connect an optic lead to the eyepiece of a scope and boom thermal scope. Each FLIR model has a center point spot for temp of a specific area; sight the rifle to the center spot, works very well at 80+ yards. Nice video great info!

I have the Matbrock Tarsier, you set your NVG to 8' to Infinity then put the Matbrock Tarsier on and then you have 3" to Infinity without having to adjust your NVG. I run a PVS-14 GEN3 WP with Matbrock Tarsier on my right eye and a FLIR Breach PTQ136 on my left eye with a NoiseFighters Panobridge.
