    I love these convection ovens. They are so much better than those smaller air fryers, and what is great is that you can see the food while it is cooking. I have the Aroma convection oven and like it a lot!

    All THAT .... and you can COOK, TOO?!? Lucky Mrs. Taylor!!! Woohooooo! I've had a convection oven similar to yours for about 30 years now. I still use it on occasion, and I still love it. I have always loved to cook outside whenever possible. My dream is to have an outdoor kitchen with a Pioneer Princess wood cookstove. Of course, I'd be in my glory if that wood cookstove were in a log cabin on 20 wooded acres. LOL! I love dutch oven cooking, grilling with mesquite & roasting on an open fire. Last year I invested in an All American Sun Oven. I LOVE it! I can cook for FREE & it doesn't heat up what I am paying to cool down. :-D Three years ago, I made a "double burner" rocket stove with bricks. Yet another way to cook for FREE with twigs and branches that fall from my trees in the front yard. ;) I understand your reason for using aluminum foil, but I would advise you to use parchment paper instead. It's a much healthier option. I really enjoyed this video! What time is dinner? :-D

      Kathleen - My dad used to cook outside with hickory chips and I still love the flavor. But they are hard to find. With all this talk about food i'm getting hungry LOL.

    Damn, loving the foil over the bowl! Realized that will work in my basket air fryer! True 'nuff the glass container is an advantage. One tip you might try to speed up the chicken, when half cooked (firm and most of all easy to slice in half, thickness-wise, I slice my chicken to half thickness, expose the interior faces up to catch the downward heat better and it cuts 5 mins. or more off the cooking time. I'll also oil and lightly season that side, since I like the flaverful outside the best. In your case, you can use the just freed up upper rack to hold the extra chicken...
    My current favorite seasoning is the Walmart brand Jerk Seasoning packet! yum

    I like your foil trick for it to fit snugly. I can never tell when meat is done, and I purchased an instant digital read thermometer, now I don't under cook or over cook my food.

    Must have radiant ring element not halogen!! I had one too ,,,,lasted a long time then the fan gave out about 5/6 years,,,great oven. I'm in UK the square box air fryers are selling well but I prefer glass bowl so you can see food as it cooks. I owned the first air fryer by American Harvest,,,bought it via sky one shopping channel. Great healthy eating!!!!!

    Will anything bad happen if i do use an extension?

    • @WorkMateGuy
      @WorkMateGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looking at the heavy duty nature of the build in cord I suspect there is a significant current draw with this device leading me to believe a typical household extension cord might over heat. If you really must use an extension cord it should be at least 16 gauge. Cheers.

    I put an aluminum pie plate at the bottom with the rack on top of it....catches 99% of the grease. I use it mostly for chicken legs and thighs. They come out perfect with most of the fat rendered off

      @@WorkMateGuy i've read some medical articles before about aluminum and other metals causing alzheimers. Well..to make it short, there's still very little studies made and as of the ones that i read their conclusion was as the body ages, its ability to remove certain metals (which are naturally present to make our brain and the rest of the body work) decreases as we age. And so when they do some tests/biopsy, they found some level of metals in the brain that may have caused the alzheimers/dementia.
      To me that explanation makes sense. Will eating or using less aluminum/iron/copper etc decrease the chances of alzheimers/dementia? Maybe. Lols

    • @AddamSolo
      @AddamSolo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FluffyMuffs Not maybe. There are a myriad of other health issues caused by aluminum as well, and the inability to lose weight in most Americans is one of them. I don't understand why this is an "lols," moment.

      I realize this is an older thread .... but ... concerning the aluminum and heavy metal connection to alzheimers and other conditions ... may want to research the ingredients in vaxxinez ... ingested toxins are easily excreted compared to injected toxins ... May want to look up the research of Forrest Maready and "My Incredible Opinion " ... interesting information ...
