Pro tip from a collector for many years you don't have to cut the tape on the box if the bottom has those flaps. You can pull out the flaps from the bottom, pull out the plastic and put back in box when done and close the flaps like they were leaving the original tape intact. =) Thanks for the review. Considering it looks like many people are having problems with this figure, I doubt a replacement would be better unfortunately. Sounds like a major quality control issue overall that affected quite a number of these. I would also contact GSC directly about this, just to let them know. I'd personally take the refund over a replacement if possible unless GSC addresses the problem themselves and offers a solution to those of you who got this.

It's a shame GSC's qc hasn't been great recently, I'm quite hesitant about pre-ordering from them after I received memorial Miku. I just don't really have confidence in them being able to produce more complex products to the standard you might expect, which is really putting me off pre-ordering ghost bride. Hope you're able to find a solution, it's a shame she always looked like she was gonna be a cool standout figure.
Oh I loved the memorial Miku, It’s not one I ever brought, but I did admire her prototype! I just received mine, luckily I don't seem to have the balance issue, the figure stays on the rock Canon once once I've put them together. My only issue is the face. I don't know what's up with GSC's quality control nowadays, but the angle of the eyes printed is in the wrong way!! Just a few tweaks and it'd be perfect already! My heart broke when I noticed the flaw, and as an artist myself, it reaaally bothers me. But other than the face, everything looks fine. I would've praised the figure more but I'm super disappointed in the face. It is the main focus of any figures and this slight adjustment error has almost ruined all the pros it has. I use to trust GSC's quality a lot when it comes to figures but I'm not sure if I'd say the same anymore.
The face and hair sculpt was the biggest issue I had after the fact that she wouldn’t hold on her base… So I totally understand where you’re coming from! ಥ_ಥ I found the sculpt of the head itself just didn’t look right at certain angles, which probably didn’t help, but the paint work on the face is 100% not placed correctly. Which is such a shame… I also found that the vibrancy of her eyes compared to the prototype photos is totally washed out in comparison? I guess it’s always a risk that collectors will have to consider when deciding to purchase something, but I do think Good Smile really have to be cautious when the faces on some prize and arcade figures better then quality of their scale figurines… ლ(ﾟдﾟლ)
It’s such a shame because the concept of the figure itself is gorgeous! It is worth noting that not everyone had issues, but some fared the same as I did, unfortunately it sounds like a batch lottery!~ （◞‸◟）

Unfortunately, the metal piece that came with my figure wouldn’t slot in without falling out of the figure, which is such a shame! I’m pretty sure it falls out during this video if it’s the part that you’re talking about! ಥ_ಥ I’m glad that it’s not something every person that ordered this figure had issue with! It’s very rare where I live for a delivery to just be left without a recipient to take them inside. In part, it’s in case somebody decides to steal it but usually the delivery driver has to take a photo to prove that it’s been handed to a resident! ⊹⋛⋋( ●´⌓`●)⋌⋚⊹

Love the review! Even a year later. As a BRS fan, I had to get this one myself! And it's beautiful! I don't think a lot of people understand how this figure holds itself up. If you really look at the figure 1. Metal peg in her right leg - to hole in the gun isn't supposed to be snug fit. It needs to have room for when you're attaching her to not break. 2. Peg in her left leg - to handle the gun. The peg itself isn't supposed to go all the way in. There's a limit of when it stops and is supposed to. Can't go in all the way without a chance of breaking. 3. Metal wire from backpack to gun (the MAIN support of holding her up) double-check if it snugs in or not. mine was nice and snug of a fit, so I didn't have issues with this Have a look again at this figure. If you already have it, people, you'll appreciate it more, and content once these things are understood about this particular figure. I think people were to quick to judge with out understand

Don't doubt yourself at all, this quality is just poor. I am into figures for almsot 10 years and I also own the 2011 BRS scale and this is not even compareable.. I started to dislike GSC more these days, even with their nendoroids. You are just being realistic! I wish I could go back to the good old days with better prices and no less hits/misses when it's about quality control where we didn't have to worry so much. :c GSC is just pumping out way too many items.. they drastically changed the past 5 years or so.

The company I brought her from have been incredible!
They’re allowing me to return her and the money will just be transferred towards two pre-orders I have gave coming up in the next few months! (´◡`) so I’m very lucky!~

She was very ambitious indeed, though it’s a shame she didn’t work out at least I know to purchase more complex scales with a little more caution in the future!
