A superb tribute to one of the greatest Englishwomen and one of England’s most underrated women.

Brilliant talk. I am also an Emma fan. I have visited Kenwood many times to see these portraits (and all the other gorgeous objects). The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich put together an amazing exhibition of her back in 2017. I spent most of the day there. She was a fascinating character and very talented. They have just unearthed her songbooks to Nelson. I’m attending a performance of them shortly. Fantastic how she is still a great figure of interest after all these years. Thanks for pitting this together.

    This is amazing Thank You!
I'm fascinated by Lady Emma and all that shes done. It's so sad how harsh people treated her. I notice that about very beautiful women, they are admired for their beauty and hated for their beauty. The haters always seem to outnumber the admirers. People acted like she was scandalous, yet they all had their little dirty secrets.
The only person who I truly felt bad for was Mr. Nelson's wife, who had every reason to be angry, poor woman.
    Ok I've said 2much sorry!

Thanks for the charming and fascinating video.
Very informative and a real pleasure.
I enjoyed the wonderful selection of paintings. It's a pity that photography didn't exist during that time period.
I'm very curious to know what she actually looked like. Best Wishes!

Thank you for this. I've always loved the movie That Hamilton Woman, in which Lady Hamilton was played by an actress who could rival the beauty of the original. This filled in much detail about the real woman. Several years ago, in Cape Town, South Africa, I stayed at an old hotel named the Lady Hamilton, which isn't far from Mount Nelson. I asked the person at the desk if he knew who the hotel was named for. He didn't.

The celestial bed scam is a hoot!
She was not only Nelson's love, but also an asset the England by the way she assisted him with his naval campaigns. How tragically she was treated.

I’m sure she was no more ambitious than the men who used her.

No tuvo suerte, tres hombres la quisieron, ninguno de ellos penso en asegurarle una vida decente.
