So my feeling has always been is plastic ammo cans (Walmart, Plano, mtm, cosco, ect) with a “seal” only claim to be water resistant not waterproof . I use the plastics only for range organization (mtm/cosco) 4 packs of 30cal. Plastic is good for organizing and range. For long term it’s metal cans (good US/UK company) with silica packets. Would you be able to do a video on the metal can seals, and what grease to use for long term storage. I know anything petroleum based is bad for the rubber seals. As always great video brother, thank you for taking time out of your day to answer our questions that we look up on Reddit lol! Keep it up!
You can't even put ten pounds in it before the lid starts buckling when you lift it, when I saw that I bought some metal cans lol defeats the pourpose in having it if it dont seal air or water. I've seen people dig out metal cans that got flooded in basements and was still bone dry inside. But they have their place, for the cheap price you can use them for other storage, or if you plan on stashing the ammo can then I would load it up and then use a roll of ductape and just wrap it till its fully sealed and it should work fine.
@GunActivities365 I never really thought about it, so that means they are not airtight either. So I'll be taking ammo out of these and putting it in the metal cans .

@ wait until you have more brass or just put sand in the can
@@Platoon_Guide agreed!
milsurp will not leak if the gasket is good. condition them with silicone lube
