Spent five years in a Thai prison but got revenge in the end.
Became a ladyboy, seduced the adopted son then revealed the truth at the wedding reception.
*"You thought you were marrying a beautiful thai lady, but it was I Dio!"*

Yeah, their past activities is terrible, but this student who exposed them is just one hell of the snitch. Exist no greater betrayal than betrayal from someone who you trusted.

Ah yes selling exam answers is an international crime, who tf made this up.

Yeah, last I checked. It was immoral, but not illegal. (US laws - which is where they lived.)

I thought it was the money laundering that got them found out

You are cheating the colleges out of profits. Preparing for their exams requires you to use their overpriced and vague resources... Colleges are big businesses...

Wow, who knew that selling exam results and essays would be considered an international crime on the same level as "medicine"-smuggling.

Because they made money through illegal means and then smuggled it out of country this making it money laundering, usually when you get charged with it in most cases you are royally fucked. Idk how they got away with such little sentences maybe due to turning cash and helping police.

In hindsight, OP's parents had always been his greatest enemies. He shouldn't be surprised that they would suddenly want to gut him financially after he had succeeded in life.

Ah.. I remember reaching that phase too being a fellow social outcast.
It's like it all suddenly became.. so boring.. "We're almost/are in highschool now, your STILL behaving like this?" was a common thought that came to mind.
I found friendship more in teachers than my fellow classmates. Though I did still have the same issue of not being very good with keeping up with class work 😅

The father was an idiot - "I want you to give in to my demands because I can ruin you!" he demands of one of the owners of an INTERNATIONAL PR FIRM. And as for the employees who left because they didn't want to be connected to the firm? I can just imagine that they were kicking themselves later when the company took off even higher ...

One example is enough to show his relationships to his family but of course fake story writers always want to drag it out and give like 5 long flashbacks before telling the present story.

This is basically the same AI story of another story of another story of another story. The format is the same. Parents hate son, son makes friend, something happens to son, son makes it big, parents come back asking for money, legal battle, he wins and life is great.

You.... you do realize that more than one person can have the exact same experience, right? It's not like there's a copyright on horrible people making the same decisions and victims living similar lives with small differences, right?
Like, this story might be fake, but common experiences exist. Horrible people are everywhere?
