I've blasted the back cover for like five minutes with a hot air gun. Nada. I can't get it to budge. If I go for say ten minutes, what are the chances the adhesive will loosen enough to get sufficient leverage to insert a wedge? I'm afraid of broiling the brains out of the device, but I also have a replacement phone so I don't mind being more aggressive if that's the recommendation. Update: I started using a very sharp paring knife to lever open a corner. And, done. Thank you. This was massively helpful.
3+years later and I still greatly enjoy the features of my A715G, especially the camera. AT&T will offer me $1000 towards a new Z Fold 4. What is your opinion of these two phones and would you upgrade if within your budget? @@DIYGeardo
