  • In the past month, there has been a spurt in faceoffs involving Indian and Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Sikkim and Ladakh sectors. Does it have to do with India ramping up its border infrastructure in Ladakh of late? What’s the underlying reason for the Chinese belligerence, even in sectors like Sikkim where the boundary has been demarcated? On the mat for its mishandling of the Covid-19 crisis, is China trying to reassert itself? StratNews Global Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale answers all these questions and more in this episode of ‘Simply Nitin’.

The commentator is very good in illustrating the issue, but takes too much licence to state that the Chinese “ belligerent “ action stems from China’s Xi Jinping condemnation for his poor handling of the Covid19. There will continue to be dispute till the boundaries are cartographically established. So assigning aggression can directed to both India and China.

Commerce policy of India is gross failure that reduces competitiveness of Indian manufacturing sector. A formal complain in WTO against CCP is not initiated by coward Indian jhumlatantra or sold out khangress in their terms. China is not India's neighbour. Tibet was, Tibet is, and Tibet will be. Commerce policy of India must burden importers of Chinese products dumped in Indian markets. Indian value chains should not have anything to do with CCP, given its postures, attitudes, and unfair trade practices.
