One thing I noticed now that I didn’t notice before is that all of their children are always dating and if they’re not dating, they are married, and that’s how family is supposed to be. They think they’re old enough to have sex then it should be with someone they think they would be marriage with. Because that shows how serious they are.
I have to say, I never liked the Cosby show as much after they made it more “adult themed” with the Pam character. It went from a clean family show, to PG13 once they added that drama. 😢
they needed to. by the time pam arrived there was no teen character in high school since rudy was in middle school. not having teen characters in high school would've been a missing dynamic since there'd always been a child in high school since the pilot episode. with theo and vanessa in college, they weren't in every episode after that, esp vanessa. pam's character filled that role and she was a bridge b/t the parents and rudy. plus, i loved that they included pam's friends lance and charmaine, which were good additions. the actress erika alexander who played pam was only 21 when she was cast. also, it's the norm in hollywood where older actors are cast in teen roles. it's nothing new.
