In this first session, we will learn about **.NET Aspire**, an opinionated, cloud-ready stack for building distributed applications with .NET. This session covers its key features, including simplified service discovery, configuration, and telemetry, as well as standardized components and project templates.

And the video never actually answers the question, "What is .NET Aspire?" The video's description gives more of an answer than the entire video.
Typical Microsoft --- what time is it --- Microsoft --- here is how you build a watch.
Does 6:54 help at all? I hear what you're saying, and I firmly believe in showing other developers what it is instead of telling you that it is a set of tools to make telemetry, metrics, service discovery, and resiliency available to all of your applications by default
@@JeffreyTFritz-dk2nr Honestly? No.
6:54 - 7:47 (basically, that segment you refer to) is about as useful an answer to that question as, say, a car salesman who, when asked "What is a car?" tells you, "It's shiny and comfortable and will reduce the stress on your feet!" Like, it's technically true, but utterly un-useful in answering the basic question that was asked.
And that section of the video was the most coherent bit even approaching an answer in the entire video. It's like the script was written by someone in marketing who had no clue about the technology aside from the buzzwords they were given.
Don't bush around the topic, hit straight to the point ! Question still remains what's .NET Aspire ?
Yeah, this video is more an introduction to the series, doesn't answer the question of what Aspire really is.
why show blazor ? xddd you don't even use it inhouse at microsoft. You use react. Why would I want to use blazor if it's not even used where it was invented, it says much.
React itself is a bit of an outdated framework. The age of the tech is likely why they went with the newer blazor.
Blazor is what comes in the box, and many .NET developers are comfortable with it. We can certainly create more content that includes React demos. Also: we absolutely use a LOT of Blazor at Microsoft
@@JeffreyTFritz-dk2nr but what public facing app uses blazor? MS Teams uses react for example.
Aspire Dashboard is buid with Blazor so MS is in fact using Blazor inhouse.
Don't understand. Is it something like terraform?
Why focus on postgres? Great for open source but its searching (etc) leave a lot to be desired.
Postgres is small and fast to get running. Other solutions are enterprise-grade and may take longer to get up and running
Literalmente (cierto) con C# se puede crear lo que quiera en el sistema que se quiera, pero... El problema es que terminas trabajando para el Framework y no al revés.
Programación siempre termina en esa manera. Si quieres que funcione tienes que utilizar sus reglas.
