This talk start with a very common misunderstanding... SOA is not a way to communicate through XML messages. SOA is a paradigm for how to organise and utilize distributed capabilities which can be under different ownership domains. Web services (WS), however, is a software system designed for interoperable communication machine to machine over a network, and is a technology for implementing a SOA. WS is highly bounded to XML since it uses SOAP messages (XML based) to communicate and the services are defined through a WSDL(XML based). ESB is a middleware for implementing a SOA using WS.
@@practicalsalesforce6513 XML and JSON are just formats for passing around data. Reading from and writing to the ESB is independent from that and can be decoupled from the ESB easily depending on the client(s) used to connect to it.
Hi Loi, Firstly good explanation between SOA and ESB. I have a small question, at around 30 sec of the video where you are talking about SOA where you explained that 3 systems will have 9 interfaces. Does not 3 system will have 6 interfaces? Just it will form a triangle and will have connection with each other having 6 interfaces. I might also be wrong. Can you please clarify on this one? Thank you
If I understand correctly, there should be 6 interfaces between the systems. Sys1 has interfaces to Sys2 and Sys3. Sys2 has interfaces to Sys1 and Sys3. Sys3 has interfaces to Sys1 and Sys2. Total of 6 interfaces. Agree?
Great video summarizing ESB capabilities. While I am reading about these too, I had a question - aren't the ESB capabilities that you mention on the last slide also available in message brokers like kafka? How would an ESB (like mulesoft) compare with Kafka?
Hi my name is Robert kunga, iam from Kenya . I do like to hack ethically with my laptop and phone 😁. So I wanted to have more experiences in ethical hacking. But the things that are holding me back, is that I don't have the kind of hardware tool that I see you use to hack other gadgets. So I was asking if you could help me with an ALPHA WiFi adapter. To make me learn more and to get me exposed to the wireless industry

I also think it should be 6
Same question. Could you please clarify?
Yeeeeeees ! First tutorial I found that is not in hindi

An api can serve all.
@@LoiLiangYangWhat do you mean?
Really liked the video. It helped me to understand the basics of ESB. Did you use any academic literature which your explanation is based on?
Read more than 10 books on middleware, SOA and ESB. The video is simply a summary of what I have learnt/read.
I was just asking as I'm currently writing my bachelor thesis and I need some good books/articles
how do you get to 9 interfaces?
