"Patient education" is practically non-existant in my own experience. It is important for the patient to educate herself/himself in every possible way. I have found your videos to be the best source of patient education in my case. I cannot thank you enough for helping me!
I recently was prescribed furosemide for chf with no edema present. Ejection rate of 29% After 3 days at 20 mg, I wanted to die.Extreme lethargic reaction. Total body weakness. 15 lbs of weight loss with muscle wasting starting. Mental acuity was tanking. This drug should be banned. I see in your video that you are a "fan" of this treatment. I differ in your judgement

They think I have heart failure. I'm skeptical. I did have tons of water weight. They gave me 40 mg furosemide and it worked great to drain me, but after I got drained of the excess water, had to drop to 20 mg, because became dehyrdated I guess and started have very painful muscle spasms, been at 20 mg for 3 days now zero water weight gain, and no more knife stabbing muscle spasms. I almost think I don't need this at all anymore, but will keep taking the 20 mg. My blood pressure is almost perfect now, and my pulse pressure which average mid 30's is now almost 40 on the nose. How can I have heart failure and near perfect blood pressure!! Anyway I go for more test in january, hopefully I'm an oddball case, and my condition isn't as bad as they thought, as all I'm on is the 20 mg furosemide and nothing else, feel better than I have in years, cleaned my diet up, no drinking, no soda, no cigarettes, and far less processed foods.

Hi! Dr. My dad was diagnose of heart failure and was given furesemide but no peripheral edema or a pulmonary edema. But right now he's weak and always feel tired..
My relative has some of the issue, they would have to increase water, fresh fruit and veggies intake so the body can be re-hydrated. the furesemide takes away the fluid which was toxic but "acted" as support to the organs and other parts of the body so once gone the organs and other parts must be re-hydrated properly. This has helped my relative.
Sounds like it's a liver issue. It runs in tandem with the heart. Low b12....because the liver is toxic and needs to be cleansed. I'm going through the same thing right now. Tired, but my legs are swelling. I've known about congestive heart failure since I was pregnant with my first child. I'm only 31. Save your dad. Look up a liver and gallbladder flush. It will make a huge difference. You need to also focus on detoxifying his body of heavy metals. Check out dr. Tent from diverse health solutions...on youtube. He's a doctor in Michigan who knows his stuff and can absolutely save your dad. Be careful with the medications. They aren't saving him, just making the cause. The heart can be repaired. Every organ including the brain can repair itself.
I'm taking Spironolactone Aldactone as one of my cardiac meds. I also used Furosemide when I was admitted in the hospital. I have Valvular Heart Disease in Failure. Heart Failure with preserved Ejection fraction of 69%..
hi doctor .i was diagnosed with chf 6 months ago they put on lasix 20 mg tablets twice a day then dropped it down to 1 tablet a day then every other day , and now im not taking since about two months ,i dont get bloated abdomen or swollen ankles anymore.
My. Mum is really ill.. Peripheral oedema+++ abdominal edema +++. Wheezing. Dyspnoea... Lasix not working.... Was discharged 1 mnth ago from hospital.. She's 77. With covid. Trying to avoid going back... Wud appreciate any advice.. Thnx

what if you have kidneys with a low function rate or low GFR will diuretics still work as required?

Go check the doctor, it might be kidney damage too as I searched in Google and it showed covid can damage even kidneys too
