This is such a great idea again and done perfectly as always by Chef Tom. I will definitely try that because the combination of flavors is mouthwatering 👍👍👍
I have a pork belly and I need to use it but I don’t know if this is what I want to do. It’s very very tempting. I’m more of a traditionalist…I’ll have to make a Philly cheese steak now.
Great alternative to a fantastic sandwich. Nothing compares to the cheese steak. Anyone can make a cheese steak, what sets Philly apart from everyone else is the ROLL! The bread is so good in Philly, it really sets the sandwich apart. Same goes for pretzels, but that is a separate issue.
That really is a Beauty! Crispy pork, spicy veg & shrooms, great looking rolls, mustard (YES!), and actual cheeses!!!! I'll never understand why people ruin such a terrific sandwich with Whiz. I mean, OK if you're in kindergarten....
See, I just got home from work. Tired, didn't even look at the title. Just saw a new ATBBQ video and clicked it. I had to reread the tittle and go back a few seconds in the video because I could have sworn Chef Tom said Pork Belly CheeseCAKE not STEAK! 🤣🤣
Great idea, though would have been more amusing to call it Pork Steak CheeseBelly ! :) PS a very strong camembert would have been a nice twist too. Really looks tasty.
Depends on where you're from. What Americans call bacon is typically salt-cured pork belly and is usually smoked. Also depending on where you are in the U.S. you can find "slab bacon" that comes in a single piece which you would slice yourself.
What is... American cheese? I would have thought that America has so many amazing varieties of cheese that calling something 'American' cheese would be very limiting. Is it soft, or hard, or fragrant, or aged, or sliced, is it like fetta, or halloumi, or the type of plastic cheese that is in every grocery store? To us non-Americans (the rest of the world), what is it?
American cheese is a specific variety of what is called "processed" cheese. Basically, it has sodium citrate or the like in it, which enables it to melt almost completely into a velvety sauce. The flavor is very mild and best compares to a very, very light cheddar or perhaps a muenster kind of flavor. It's definitely confusing, as you're right, we have many other domestic varieties of cheese here, almost all of which are more complex in flavor and character, but I don't think they'll let you and I rename it at this point, lol. In any case, it definitely has it's uses, as you'll see it show up as an ingredient in some awesome recipes hemisphere wide, not just in the US.
And yet you can order peppers at any cheesesteak restaurant in Philly and no one will bat an eyelash at you. So what exactly is traditional according to the Food Police?
I'm not really a fan of traditional philly cheesesteak but I would definitely love this version
that....is a win!
Chef Tom and crew! This is the 37th recipe I followed since January and your stuff never cease to amaze!! Fck That was Delicious 🤤
That's awesome! Love to hear it. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I've got to put some texture on my belly too. Pork belly cheese steaks for this weekend, thanks for the awesome idea. Love your videos Chef Thom

Looks Delicious
Them rolls look like the bomb. Excellent cook. Need to give this a go when we can get spring weather around here.
They look like day-old jimmy johns subs. I've used them in the past for philly's and they're fantastic
That looks good and now I am hungry.
Great video. I'm going to try this, but just chop the belly down to a small dice right after smoking. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for watching!
I just made this, minds blown! Next level sandwich.
That's awesome! Thanks for watching!
Pork belly, cheese, you sold me at that.
ohh that looks amazing! got to try this sometime!
@allthingsbbq are you able to link the griddle insert you are using?
Here you go! www.atbbq.com/accessories/bbq-and-grilling-cookware/griddles-and-presses/yoder-smokers-cast-iron-griddle.html
Nothin better than griddle cooking. Love the recipe idea!
Thanks for watching!
Yep!!
3 words. Wow. Wow. Wow.
your grilled chicken sandwich is still #1 in my book. i would eat would never get tired of it. this is a close second.
Thanks for watching!
This is a total winner. Could be the best sandwich ever made.
This looks like one of the tastiest things I have ever seen. Not healthy, but has to be a flavor bomb!
Pork has the highest concentration of ANY meat of the most important electrolyte of them all: Potassium (K+). Therefore, what is not healthy about it?
Amazing. Going to do this for dinner tonight!
Thanks for watching!

美味しそう😋👍
That would be great for brunch, Throw a couple of fried eggs on that!! Oh baby....
Pork belly cheesesteak, what a concept. That's a Grand Slam Chef Tom.
Thanks for watching!
Wow!! This looks beyond amazing ❤️
How do you clean your cast iron insert? It’s so big it’s been a struggle for me.
Looks great. Id love see you take on Philly other sandwich, roasted pork
Were those Jimmy Johns rolls? Looks great, great job
Can’t wait to try this!
Where did you get the rolls?
Exactly. As someone who lived in philly; the key is those Amaroso rolls. Crucial
Diffuser pass throughput plate off?
gourmet BBQ at its best. It needs a Shiner Bock though.
what's a good substitute cheese for those that don't have provolone readily available?
Your favorite cheese
Have you ever considered doing a video on the picnic shoulder?
is that bread from jimmy johns?
looks good
Pork belly Rules 👍🏾🙏🏾
Gorgeous.

Holy shit this looks amazing
Looks good but I’m too wimpy for jalapeño. I would sub bell peppers instead.
Nothing wrong wirh that. Maybe do jalapeños sans seeds and veins. And some green peppers.
yyyyyyeeeeeaaaaaarrrrr letz Rock the Party...
get some friends round.......get the beers cooled....music on......get the pork belly cheesesteaks cooked...... What more could you want?
10:02 - 10:53 that was some nice BBQ ASMR. Should start a side channel with just those sweet BBQ sounds 😂
Yum! Thanks for that 😂🔥

Candied pork belly cheesecake. Make it happen chef tom.
Delish!
Great idea, though would have been more amusing to call it Pork Steak CheeseBelly ! :)

Take one to my guy Aaron.
Oh yeah! You definitely have a winning sandwich. Cheers! 👍👍✌️
Jimmy John’s day old bread…. Money
I’m doing this.
Can you please help me with how to cook a goat?
Is this a sin? *drool*
whoaaa mumma
🤤🤤🤤🤤
Looks like Jimmy John’s bread.
Evil genius. Get thee to thy volcano lair.
This is probably a stupid question... Is pork belly bacon?? Just a larger piece?? Thank you.
Depends on where you're from. What Americans call bacon is typically salt-cured pork belly and is usually smoked. Also depending on where you are in the U.S. you can find "slab bacon" that comes in a single piece which you would slice yourself.
As a representative of the Philadelphia area, you get a pass because of how good that steak must of been
What? No ketchup. 😳
😉
Porkfection🐷

Needs crispy bacon on top, but looks good.
I like pork but its a nah for me. I just think pork taste good without the extra condiments.
this is just a heart attack in a bread roll
I bet you're fun at parties.
No traditional cheese steak comes with peppers on the steak. It is a side piece
