ehhhhhh doesn't really call to me
the whole idea that "Austin Butler only has the Elvis voice so he could get an Oscar" is so dumb.
Because the reason why he DIDN'T get the Oscar is because the audience started a hate campaign against him..... because of his voice.
Everyone knows method acting is hated in this industry. He did it despite the negative press because he didn't care about getting an Oscar.

It was not intentional on Austin's part to still sound like Elvis. It's not in his character to do that just so he could campaign for the Oscars. If you do research on how he was cast, the casting director of Elvis already had him in mind since the timbre and quality of his voice was already reminiscent of Elvis's before he had all that vocal and dialect coaching. His voice was already deep to begin with. Just saying.

That's also why people could confuse a Midwestern accent, to that of his Elvis accent. Because now his voice is just synonymous with it. Even though, he doesn't even sound like Elvis in this not even close. He also alone doesn't sound like Elvis if you really looked into it.
