- A powerful film that explores how a Birmingham Church is challenging mental health stigma and discrimination.
Church leaders and members from The New Testament Church of God in Handsworth speak openly about their own experiences and the work the Church is doing to support better mental health and wellbeing in its communities.
The film is funded by Birmingham Time to Change Hub and produced by Open Lens Productions, Catalyst 4 Change and The Red Earth Collective.

It's great to see local community charities addressing issues in a transparent and practical way. These honest testimonials offer support, guidance, and a platform for the wider audience to seek assistance on their journey.
Well done for producing this Bishop Douglas and team. A powerful addition to raise awareness of mental health.
Well needed discussion. Counselling is a great tool. This information needs to be shared
It’s great that the church is able to acknowledge mental health problems without automatically treating it as a demon.
Thank you for your all 🤗
Well done church
I love this video. Being able to share about issues within a Church setting and support. 🌸
Congratulations on a well executed and professional message. Thank you to those who were completely transparent with their experiences. May God continue to bless you all especially with the aspiration of the well being cafe.
Great to see this Vision coming together especially in our current climate. Our Churches must be a visible and functional presence in this field with God as our guide.
My input on this mental health awareness is we as believers need to allow people that they comes into contact with to BE THEMSELVES We all cannot be alike, we all are not call by God in the same way. Many call from adult, fornication, drunkenness etc.
I must tell the believers to let go of their ignorance. Stop demeaning people and play a blind eyes to their attack upon playing people. God knows your intention. Anyone who practice this kind of mind attack will not SEE GOD FACE . He says the least you do to my people you do it to me. The church suppose to be a hospital, and I find it a place of cleek and other groups that are dictators. It's time for us to loosen our self and let god have his way. We all can talk of mental health issues since we comes into this country. For example, We born in Patois and if we ever talk in this language we are laugh at, and we feel that the people we trust and learn from let us down. We cannot Express our selves in the language we know best, your own people laugh at you. This is a sick set of people who appears to have this mental health issues and is using laughter to mask it. Let us be open and share it so we can feel light and move on. If you feel that you have to join a cleek to be apart of the church you are wrong, god call all of us an individual. We use cold shoulder and we demean, intimidated others to the point of people leaving the church, because they will not change. These people are in leading position. If you stand in people way, and causes stagnation, stop it now before the rapture comes. You have some devil worshipper in the church of god going to hell and we need to realise it. It's not everyone that call upon god is going to live with God, dont forget that. Be encourage you are a special call out people. Dont let anyone change you. I hope I have written you a good reflective piece that will help you move on. We are all in this together, we shall come fort as pure gold. Mental health issues should not be so obvious and rampant in the church. That makes me feel like we are not really fully persuaded. In my church back home in jamaica, we have no one with mental health issues. This culture in England need to be change or else a devil's HELL WILL BE AWAITING ALL WHO ABUSE PEOPLE TO GET DEPRESS.
