Max gvm is 4.5 not much payload to be had 2 adults and 2 children at best.

Its not the only 6x6 patrol in australia... ive actually seen one before, but an older one
All you need is a 24' caravan, 6 wheels, 240l fridge, 24 burner stove, 2 x king sized beds, 20 x 20l jerry cans and you're set for your camping trip that will be kind to the tracks out there!!!!

How do the tail shafts get to both rear diffs? Some kind of magic I assume!
There’s a driveshaft going from the transfer case to the first rear diff, then a second driveshaft from the first rear diff to the second
@@ethanbird8519 yep. That's the bit that would be interesting. How does a shadt come out the back of the front diff? How the hell is that setup????
@@sexyfacenation it acts quite similarly to a transfer case for the transmission, if you search up how does a transfer case work in a car, you can basically apply the same principle for the first rear diff
@@ethanbird8519 I know how a transfer case works, and how to build a diff, jit the 2 combined makes no sense. The details. Not the concept. I'll have to do some googling.

Shame about the reverse facing snorkels, not efficient for airflow at all! Forward facing would help with engine efficiency and therefore power.

This guy doesn't know how to present his product, highly doubt he's in marketing because they wouldn't sell as much units with the way he's so lost and has to be led into speaking about the features this amazing vehicle has.

with how heavy's it is it may as well be a single cab only 200 kg left till you hit max GVM you could only fit 2 adults and good luck towing unless your gonna go with really light tongue weight one could go the truck registration route but then you have to deal with all the BS that come along with that. its a cool rig but it so impractical with how heavy she is.
What's the bs that comes with truck rego? Haha can't do over 100?
@@Bigsoot7393 you have to keep up with log books for one any misstep with that and you get a real good fine and when the police run the plates and see it's UTE that's been registered as truck they will want to give it a once over to see if they can Peg you for anything. Due to the fact its a truck it can't be a family daily driver now only people holding a truck licence can drive it. There's also registration cost ute's that have been converted into a trucks have far higher registration costs.
@@phalanx3803 you only need a log book over 12t gcm, i really don't think the cops would care in the slightest if it was registered as a truck that thing stands out like dogs balls either way, I have a 4x4 canter we use for touring my misses got her MR first go $1200 now she has it for life and access to a whole new career of she wanted to
@@Bigsoot7393 never heard of this weight limit exception to the logbook The Only exception I can see on the the books is for us farmers as long as we don't go more than 100 km's from our farm other than that the moment you get behind anything that requires LR and up you have to be doing log book. As for the cops maybe not where you are but here in Victoria you will get pulled over for sure don't know how many times I've done cattle deliveries with the ute and they don't give me trouble we borrow a friends ram 3500 that was re registered as a truck and a massive cattle trailer and I get pulled over 5 times 3 by the cops and 2 by VIC roads.
@@phalanx3803 nah mate under 12t gcm is not considered a fatigue related vehicle so you don't need a log book in all states. The 100km rule applies to all heavy vehicles not just primary producers, you have to have your log book with you, just not fill it out. And yes I'm near Bathurst NSW cops wouldn't look twice at a ram 3500 towing a fifth wheel here I don't reckon haha
The rear end on air bags... would handle like crap. Could only imagine the body roll 👎
Ive driven half a dozen 6x6 and they all drive like shit.
its cool. its impressive. but its the dumbest thing ive ever seen all at the same time. when you mentioned, yeah were also towing a caravan aswell i laughed. i fully understand building something for the sake of it. But if you have a portable house behind it. whats the point of the extra 2 seats of the Y62 plus another axle and an extra mass of weight to drag around. I see how delusional the US car scene is because its main focus truly is, we did it for the sake of doing it. At no stage am i writing off the build quality or the execution of it. Add to that i own a rotary which is a bit of just because. But that car has purpose and a goal thats practical aswell. This is just, add stuff. Because. And add more when its not achieving much beyond wow factor.
What a ridiculous touring set up, no idiot would tour with this unless they wanna spend every $$ they have filling it up at every petrol station
