    Ross, I had a chance to meet Adam up in the press row at Allen the other night. Great guy! He was so down to earth.

    And on Cade: agree with everything you guys said...and also, there's a huge difference between touching the ball almost every position b/c you're the first scoring option like he was at Butler and the role he's in here. He'll adjust; my guess is he'll start grooving in January..he needs time in this flow at this pace and getting used to letting it fly without a bunch of touches before his oppty comes.

    2nd half rebounding was solid but gotta remember the stats are distorted by how many free throws we shot -- ie, there weren't nearly as many defensive rebound opportunities for KS as there usually would be in a game with 89 pts scored. First half, the offense wasn't nearly as bad as a lot of people have been saying -- we were generating good shots and just missing them. Even with the weak defense and giving up 50+ 1st half pt,s the game could easily have been single digits at halftime if we shot even decently. IMO, a lot of our season is going to depend on shooting the ball well b/c if we don't, teams will pack in or play zone and slow us down a lot. As far as defending true bigs, I think we will get better and better at it -- will always be a challenge but we have a lot of different guys to throw at that -- even James Brown showed some nice stuff. But we have to shoot the ball well or else all those driving lanes that our guards are using to get to the rim and get fouled are gonna close up.

    You’re not going to shot 31 free throws every game need to look at that great effort but you want get those calls every night

    Why he didnt call timeout end of game

    • @whatlurks_
      @whatlurks_ 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Because then KU would be able to draw a play to defend a RJ 3. Everyone knew the play already so no point in a timeout 😂

      @@whatlurks_also by not calling a timeout you force Dickinson to stay in the game and that gives UNC a great chance to get a good switch and hit a shot… self would have pulled Dickinson and put in another perimeter defender

    It’s definitely a Hubert thing he isn’t good at end of games situations

      If you have a plan for end game situation calling time out give the defense a chance to get set. Self is a veteran in these type situation.
