- This video explains how DeReferencing works with Ref and Enum-Ref type columns and how it differs for each of them.
DeReferencing allows users to select a value from a dropdown, and based on the selection, AppSheet automatically fills in other fileds in the form using values from another column of the reference table.

Is there a way to edit action for “new” button in ref list?
If you are referring to the system-generated Add button, then ylu are pretty much limited to editing the Display Text, the icon, Display mode, the behavior, and other settings.
If you want to edit the actual action it does, then simply duplicate the system-generated action, then Hide the original action.
On the newly created icon, you can pretty much change most settings.
