  • "Gait" by director/choreographer Kunal Ranchod explores the trajectory of a racialized, queer, man as he comes to terms with the act of disguising himself.
    This work was created in collaboration with the dancers and inspired by a round table discussion with racialized, 2SLGBTQ+ public servants.

    Kunal Ranchod is a choreographer and graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Theatre School and L'École supérieure de ballet du Québec. His works have seen the likes of international stages including: Canada, United States, India and Japan. He has choreographed various works for The National Ballet of Canada, The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Radio
    Canada, The National Film Board of Canada, The Luminato Festival, Ballet Kelowna and most recently Ballet Ouest de Montreal.
    Alexander Skinner, graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School and current Corps de ballet member of The National Ballet of Canada, is a Toronto-based dance artist with international experience in film, television and stage performance.
    Born in Mexico City, Adrián Ramírez has danced with Les Grands Ballets Canadien in the Nutcracker and with Ballet de Montreal, where he was a Soloist Dancer. Previously, Adrián danced with Taller Coreografico de la UNAM in Mexico City. Currently he is working with
    Canada’s ballet Jörgen as a principal dancer.
