      Yes flora and fauna or mega diversity is similar to Papua. In fact both are within the 17 countries designated as mega diverse. But malaysia does not have many species which are endemic unlike galapagos island.

    What's the school system like in Malaysia? Do you and your children speak Malay? Hope you all feel better soon! That was interesting to see. I think it'd be too hot for me to live there!

    • @TheConscientiousEater
      @TheConscientiousEater  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are lots of options for schools here, either local or international. Most expats would have their kids go to an international school, but they’re pricy! And sadly I barely speak any Malay. I had just learned Chinese and felt burnt out with learning languages. You can get around easily here with just English, but Malay is really easy for English speakers to learn. My husband learned it quickly. He’s rusty now, but can still use it when needed.

    KL is ranked #1 to live in Asia according to Japanese based survey, I forgot the index. It is great you bought a car, you will enjoy the freedom and driving in among the best roads in Asia. You can always take the MRT, LRT too. Are you on MM2H?

      Yes! There are some amazing beaches here. We’re slowly trying to see more of them ☺️
      Average rent is probably $750-$1000. The cheaper rent is for a larger house farther out of the city. The higher rent would be for a condo in a better location in the city with amenities ☺️
