I have the same thought. I just went to Vegas last week and noticed the big chunk of land along the LV blvd with many shut down businesses and I said to my wife someone is gathering the land for another development.
So the criminals get priority over over a legitmate tax paying business? They want to make the place look like San Francisco with all shops, restaraunts and businesses moving out?
There are other businesses in that area. Why aren’t they shut down as well? Shut down every hotel and motel on Fremont street-Boulder Highway from Las Vegas boulevard to Lake Mead street.
So you also mean all the hotel casinos on fremont Street? That's brilliant. Also, if you close these shelters that's more people on the streets. Damn I wish I could be that ignorant. Since you're doing well enough in life you can't be bothered to understand why those hotels exist, please use your extra resources to help those less fortunate than yourself.
@@jenniferjohnson2712 Yes, you are as ignorant because I was being sarcastic. When did this become policy? Government shuts down your business because they refuse to deal with crime in the area. So what if that’s an elderly lady’s way of making a living.
Wow they shut her down but there’s a vacant hotel taken over by the homeless. When she leaves this space will be taken over as well. It sounds like Vegas needs to improve beyond the strip. That’s where you can really get robbed, shot, or even possibly killed. It’s sad.
The cops grew tired of her calling for their help and shut her down as a warning to other businesses. It's much easier to ignore the problem than to solve it.
Sometimes that’s not a bad thing. Do you want to take your kids to Fremont and watch the 24 hour Covid vaccine clinic where they inject themselves with it?
I'm betting someone with a lot of money WANTS that property and is trying to force a sale! Explain to me how that business is responsible for the crime around it. It's not. More if residents were getting busted for prostitution or drug dealing ON the premises, O.K. But that's not the case here.
My girlfriend was killed in this drug motel in May 2023 by a drug dealer. Her addiction got so bad I had to let her go and she fled to this place. This drug dealer "works" for the owner Hope Kwon and performs all sorts of illegal activities in order to help her. My girlfriend specifically told me Hope tried having her stabbed and killed around April of 2023, in which she narrowly escaped. Only to be found dead in May 2023 when just 4 days prior she told me she was going to take her drug dealer, Hope, and the Traveler's Inn down and expose all of their illegal activity. Don't be fooled, this is not a motel, hotel, or anything of that sort. It is a front for drug operations and tons of drug dealers operated out of this place. If anyone from the News sees this feel free to reach out and I will provide all the information my girlfriend gave me before she was killed.

Even if they shut it down, squatters will find their way in and continue criminal activities. I’ve seen it at multiple properties. Then they later get bought out at a very low price and turned into luxury apartments.
There were over 60 murders committed by a guest at the Mandalay Bay a few years ago, and that's a lot more crime than at the Traveler's Motel. The police didn't shut down the Mandalay Bay though.
I live here and everything is about money! Bet that man that was talking about how it should be shut down is probably being paid by someone to make this his charge. They will shut it down and build something else. They have so many low class weekly hotels that are known for everything from prostitution, drug dealing/selling, pimps all of kinds of stuff. You never hear anyone trying to get those places shut down. This is personal for some reason.
