👆 Darkglass Alpha Omega 900 Head - tinyurl.com/yyg...
Nathan and Lee take the Darkglass Alpha Omega 900 head for a spin! This absolutely earth-shattering amp is the signature Darkglass head from Karnivool's Jon Stockman, known for his ultra-beefy but articulate bass tones. This thing sounds utterly massive!

The Bass tones at Andertons are completely magical, makes me super envious. Props to both of the playing! Cheers!
not too hard to do when you have a post production team running DI audio to an interface. These tones are all achievable by anyone as long as you have the desire to use the proper gear and the willingness to spend time fine tuning the amp to your specific equipment
Nathan is a great guitarist
yeahh tasty riffs
Nathan and Lee are like peanut butter and jelly..............Perfect together! I don't play bass but never miss a vid!
Exquisite guitar playing my man, and that bass is THICC AF
Arrrgh, now I want a 5 string bass. That tone is monstrous
That's a weird bass that Nathan's playing.
It's a 6 string bass
He plays that weird bass in Level 42 as well
@@asingardenof It must be running in the family.
@@sheumack buh bum!
Love a bass with a trem
Best bass I’ve heard on Andertons for years!
I love that you can see the tubes getting brighter under heavy load
Do a sounds like Justin chancellor proper man
These guys are mental. Love it!!
Yayyj! A bass video for friday night! Life is wonderful! :) :)
Great tones and playing. Intro jam was a riot too. Just kudos all around... sounded great!
When are you guys going to cover the Vintera basses? Also a sound like Paul McCartney would be awesome.
Thanks for doing a "Sound Like." Please keep them coming... and in the future, please tell us about the amp, pedals and bass guitar. Flea, Geddy Lee, Jaco, Bakithi Kumalo, Victor Wooten, John Paul Jones, Bootsie Collins, Billy Sheehan, Sting, Pino Palladino, etc.
I've been looking really hard at the Mesa line, and now I'm thinking this might be the real ticket. That tone......ooooofff.
great review, thanks boys!
That’s just made my day! 🤩🤘🏼
Another good one, lads. Though the damage to my wallet may be irreparable in the end. Still think you should do that beginner bass set up video.
BEST intro ever!!
The some clear ass low end!
My mind is telling me no but my body is reaching for my credit card...
Why am I watching demos of gear I already own?
eloann because they're the best gear demos on TH-cam and you're bored?
Everyone does
I guess you guys did not get to film a Captain meets Mark Agnesi?
I love this show. I try to watch every one I can find. I would love to see a show on the rigs, (bass, amps, pedals, cabs or direct..) that you two use in your projects. Do you have a “go to” rig or do you use several? If you lost it today and the insurance gave you what it was worth, could you replace it? Would you go with something different? Also, what are your projects? I don’t mean to sound like a total nob, but I don’t know if you have ever talked about bands you play with or have played with. I’m sure someone will say “hey dipshit, I can’t believe you don’t know who Nathan and Lee are...” but I don’t, other than this show, but I’d like to maybe support your projects. I don’t even know if you read this stuff, but I had a few minutes and I was curious. Cheers
Nathan's the guitarist in Level 42, he's Mark King's brother - just so you know :)
Joel Bassett Thank you Joel. I appreciate that, and that’s real cool. My old bass player always tried to get me to listen to level 42, since I switched to bass, I finally understand why. Cheers, thank you for your polite response.
@@PushSueAside You're welcome! Mark King was and still is a really innovative bassist, makes sense that Nathan would be fantastic too
Joel Bassett
Totally agree. I just switched to bass this year after 34 years of guitar and I’m wishing I did it sooner, so much fun. I feel like a kid just starting out again. Glad I found all these great channels and communities. Have a wonderful weekend.
@@PushSueAside You too mate!
if it simulates different cabs, then how do you choose which cab to put it through at home?
Love to see Nathan shred, he has no respect for guitars and that's a bloody good thing.
Should make a try to sound like My Morning Jacket
my dude didn't read the manual and put drive on 0 and experimented with alpha and omega xD
That's just pure stanky beauty.
Pure beauty I say!
is this a bass modeling amp? like the bass equivalent of the Roland Cube or something horrible like that??
Not at all. Maybe the cab simulation appears that way but that is a key feature for those that DI out. This is a full on bass amp with a unique distortion blend. Darkglass are in a league of their own and have a specific tone.
What model is the Ibanez?
Funny seeing a sire bass going through the alpha omega.
Just get this amp and a table full of effects
900 W @ 2 ohms?
900w at 4ohms and it will also do 450w at 2ohms
Isn't the alpha omega the work of nolly?
Jon Stockton of Karnivool
Joel sharkfan of Karnivool
first?
second?
I hate modern bass tones. You kids get off my lawn!!!
I must be a kid 'cause goddamn I love them
Ya know what's awesome? The Darkglass amps' tones are incredible even if you're not relying on the distortion. :)
The guitar needed turning up slightly
“All about the bass” eh?
No !
