Gran Canaria Playa Del Ingles to San Agustin - I Found a Great Steakhouse!

One of Spain’s Canary Islands, off northwestern Africa. It's known for its black lava and white sand beaches. Its southern beaches include bustling Playa del Inglés and Puerto Rico as well as quieter Puerto de Mogán and San Agustín. In the north, capital city Las Palmas is a major stop for cruise ships and duty-free shopping. The island’s interior is rural and mountainous.
In today's vlog, I take a trip along the promenade from Playa del Inglés to San Agustín and come across an amazing restaurant, where I review an amazing steak dinner.
Playa del Inglés is a sea resort in the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria. It is part of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, and is a popular tourist attraction.
San Agustin has got itself a rather good location on the Canary Island of Gran Canaria. This quiet place is tucked away on the south coast with a crowd-free beach and a relaxed nightlife, not to mention some great restaurants. And it’s teamed up with two very useful neighbours - Playa del Ingles, which comes with vibrant bars and clubs, and Maspalomas, with its famous Sahara-style sand dunes.
For me it's a first as I normally visit Tenerife and Playa De Las Americas and Los Cristianos, so for me this is a new adventure.

Lee. Loving your videos as always. I saw the hotel Beverley Park at the beginning of your walk where I stayed. Unfortunately you walked the wrong way along the coast to see the bars you were after. You walked to the quiet not much happening areas. Head towards the sand dunes of maspalomas instead and you will find more much needed beers 🍺 in plenty of bars. Keep up the good work and thanks for showing us the sights 👍❤️😊 Hugs n all

Hi mate. Wifey and I love Tenerife as you do and go once or twice each year and stay at PS3. Mint! We did Gran Canaria last year but stayed at Puerto Rico. Actually it’s like Tenerife but smaller. Plenty of bars and restaurants etc. Sea taxi trips to Puerto de Mogan and Anfi del Mar are a must. Both beautiful and a fab walk to Amadores Beach which has caribbean sand and you can see Tenerife in the distance. Highly recommend if your still out there. Ps. See you in Tenerife in June for the Euros if your about? Probably be in Brahms and liszt 🍺🍺⚽️ 🍺🍺 Daz & Sam 👍🏼

Personally I prefer gran canaria over Tenerife. I cant tell you why just a personal preference I guess. I love them both though. For the record we always stay in Maspalomas. Also, you don't seem yourself? Still recovering or just uneasy in a new place?
Was not well at all, had an operation a week before and was told to rest up. Felt aweful and weak. But soldiered on. 😎👍🏼👍🏼 Filmed 11 more and have a great analogy in episode 12. 😎

Thank you so much for the vlog, but yes, you went the wrong way. I haven't been to Gran Canaria for 20 years, I also stayed at the Beverly Park. We have booked for Playa Del Ingles in June, so really looking forward to the next installments of Gran Canaria with anticipation. We usually go to Tenerife around 3 times a year, flying out next weekend...can't wait. We are like you, everything is compared to Tenerife X

Maspalomas has some pretty good bars, but a much quiter nightlife. Yumboo centre is the gay district and depending on the month and weather it can be a bit wild. Also FYI, the sandy beaches are man made from the Sahara desert. Great vlog glad you found your beer🍺🍺🍺

I've booked to go to San Agustin in November 2024. You keep mentioning that there were no bars on your journey from Playa del Ingles to San Agustin....that's because the majority of the bars are situated more inland at the shopping areas, not on the coastal path between the two resorts.

It was quiet, but you were walking inbetween two resorts so not a lot going on. I've heard playa del Ingles is the more livelier place to be. We've never been to Gran Canaria, but we're thinking of going next January so we're really interested to see what it's like and what you think of it 👍☺💖 Steak looked sooo delicious 👌😊

Puerto Rico is the place to be, but I agree with you that Tenerife is a better holiday.
Hi Mac, my first lads holiday was to Playa Del Ingles in 1994, a club 18-30!... it's changed a bit but you still have the loud centre but the chilled out Maspalomas sand dunes area..last time I visited was Maspalomas; nice and peaceful and I remembered why I liked Gran Canaria. Hope you enjoyed some of it? P.S. most beaches are sandy! Anfi Beach resort white sand was imported!

I would consider going to gran canaria. Tenerife is good for Siam park. Forget Lanzarote but fuerteventura is the winner!

@@triptechable it's less commercial,more traditional and best beaches of the canaries. It's very laid back and next to no one hassles or bothers you. I've only stayed in corralejo and it's where the beautiful beaches sand dunes are. I've booked my third holiday there for this year and can't wait to explore with a hire car. Caleta de fuste is more purpose built for holiday makers with man made beaches. Jandia in the south looks beautiful but very quiet more so than the other 2 resorts I mentioned. If you go to corralejo you have to visit " sun set lounge" basically the best beach bar in corralejo where most holidaymakers and locals head to for the best atmosphere that can be had.
Hi again Lee. Just watched your first GC video and unfortunately you went in the direction of San Agustin from PdI which is mostly hotels and not a lot near the beach. Plenty places to explore, Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas, Puerto Rico, get the ferry to Puerto de Mogan from Puerto Rico. Nightlife in the various commercial centres in Playa del Ingles and enjoy a stroll along the Anexo 1 & 2 running alongside the beach. In Puerto Rico head along the coastal path from the port onto Amadores beach. Tenerife used to be my favourite but sits in fourth place now with Lanzarote first at the moment and Fuerteventura/Gran Canaria in the middle. However it changes from holiday to holiday and Tenerife can easily head back to top place, as will Gran Canaria after we've been....probably! We're back in Puerto Rico in 10 days. Yumbo center in Playa del Ingles has a ton of bars and clubs
We are going to Gran Canaria next February my mate and I usually stay in the Gloria Palace Amadores stunning hotel but it was getting pricey. Were looking at the Gloria Palace Amadores. I like the look of the hotel not sure about the resort. It could be a bit too quiet for me. I told my mate a blog says it's for people who want quiet and relaxed he said that's fine by me. Although he doesn't drink and I just occasionally so we don't go out to pubs. I do like amenities and it's nice to have a good selection of shops and restaurants and a bit of liveliness. Although we're not party animals I'm not ready for the pipe and slippers yet. But I think he seems convinced and not sure I cam talk him into somewhere else like Maspolomas.
I saw another video guide through San Augustin resort and the beach and resort looked deserted and that was pre pandemic

The rocks on the beach were the same at Maspalomas before they brought the sand in from the Sahara desert

Hola! San Agustin is one of the older resorts, doesn't have the best beach, Mas Palomas has a sand dune beach, and Las Palmas( capital city) in the north has a beautiful beach with a natural reef! :) Puerto Rico, Amadores are man made, look good but not to everyone's taste..

Most of the bars are situated in centres. There aren't really many proms. Been and would never return. Not my type of place at all.
