I've just come across this page. Listening now to this audio story. Amazing and wonderful. And yes, what is this video? Whoever put this together, please, never take it down. And for new visitors, stop and listen and watch. How could I get to the age of 65 without reading Dostoevsky? So clarifying. I recently had a similar dream whiling dying in a hospital. Life changing as this dream to the ridiculous man.

Has anyone here ever taken DMT or heard of the DMT experience?
His description of the space he flew through is incredibly similar to the DMT experience.
Furthermore, DMT is produced naturally within our Pineal Gland while we sleep and is only secreted into the brain when we enter REM sleep and in massive amounts when we die.
Many people describing a DMT trip state they encounter beings similar to humans while journeying on a plain they've never been before.

It's incredible how exactly his dream describes the experience of taking DMT yet this book was created in 1877, long before we discovered how to extract DMT from plants (DMT is naturally occurring in nearly all living things.)
My theory is that when our brain is dosed with the massive DMT hit when we die our inner "spirit" is permanently propelled to a place similar to the field/world Dostoevski describes within this book.

DMT has been used in the form of ayahuasca for a very long time. No this book does not seem to particularly describe a DMT experience. There is no standard "dmt experience" but most involve infinitely complex geometric formations and general mind blowing. The sense of or interaction with perceived entities happens sometimes.
