Yeah, to be fair, caffeine is constantly derided by sleep experts for causing widespread sleep issues. Then there's the issue that people spend insane amounts of money on it when they definitely can't afford to be doing so. Like every college student in a starbucks lol. And just the fact that there's some pretty significant social pressure to consume it. Both from hustle culture and just its ubiquitousness- I understand people can choose, but if we're talking psychology, there is significant social pressure. Finally, after like 2-3 months of consuming it daily, the vast majority of people have become completely tolerant to it, and all it does is keep you from feeling withdrawal symptoms, it doesn't actually give you energy... so there's that.
