Jimmy Yu is a professor at FSU these days. I had him my very last semester in College...he taught a Zen Buddhism class I was taking. I didn't find out that he was part of the hardcore scene until the last few weeks of the class. He now teaches meditation classes regularly every week to students. He is an amazing guy, and the most interesting professor I've ever had at FSU.
whhoooa....i was really waiting for something like that for so long. thus its sad it has not been released on dvd. JUDGE was and still is one of the best bands ever!!!!!!! Judge is my soundtrack of life.....and it always makes me positively strong!!!
this is amazing. Thanks for making it available. I loved every second of it. I am feeling so nostalgic right now i might cry haha. But seriously, AMAZING!!!!!
Great featurette. Even if this is "unfinished", it is very cool. One of my all-time favorite bands, and this vid brought back a lot of cool memories. Nice job.
Fascinating. Watching these Judge documentaries really puts the band in a better context for me. I used to think all those bands I listened to back in the day were just copying Minor Threat in a harder way. I had no idea about the situations that inspired Judge and other straightedge bands. Really interesting stuff.
whoops! there it is! sorry, I was too hasty to speak because my eyes were literally glued to the screen, concentrated on all the action. congratulations on what looks like one of the best documentaries to come out of hardcore, thanks for the preview! I can't wait for the finished version to come out!!
"I just don't feel it no more, that's my story and I'm sticking to it." For the longest time I thought Judge would be the one NYHC band whose legacy spoke for itself and needed no reunion.
I love this band. They had a big impact on me growing up. I hope they release a follow-up album to Bringin' it Down. The Storm has to be one of the best Hardcore songs of all time. Evokes the same darkness and foreboding as the B side of My War.
amazing! i think i can safely say this is something the hardcore community worldwide has been expecting forever! a quick note though, the background audio should really be regulated during the interviews, the volume never changes and it gets hard at times to hear the words of the interviewees, which should never be an issue.
@xsshimlerx you should check out some of the awesome youth crew stuff happening over seas. Bands like the geeks are killing it, and still have that youth of today/ chain of strength vibe. In America, we have mindset, go!, get the most, the first step, and champion. It's still alive, not everyone has sold out :)
obv number one is the music, but i dont care who you are, all i gotta i say is that everybody likes to dress up, hardcore kids dress a certain way, metalheads dress the certain way etc....each scene has a look

unbridledenthusiasm oh well.
First lesson in the big book of editing: always have triple back ups. But this shit is great, and so is Judge

How sick is that photo of Mike, Porcell and Ratbones (in braces!)?
@xsalvadorx yeh, i def. agree with the interviews and the volume of music. i guess that has something to do with the unfinished part aswell.
this is amazing you should release it to vhs to match the bootleg quality i love it
15:00-----15:23 truly heartbreaking words .....
AWESOME, I love judge
As soon as "Bringin' it Down" starts I can only think of the Gayrilla Biscuits lyrics... how my mind has been warped.
made my day.
I wasn't straight edge and I loved the shit outta "Bringin It Down" when it came out.....
@andynfb what would you do different? I don't think there's a feature length story in it.
It will probably not happen but I would love to see these guys play
thanks for the nice words. in the description you may have missed it but I wrote about the audio being unmixed and this being unfinished.
bring it back mike. the time is now.

I can't wait to see them @ The Metro in Chicago 6/21/14. Gonna be a Riot
Awesome video! Good job. NY Crew 518
This has potential, but the background music overpowers what the band are actually saying for most of this. Turn the background music down.
@JERZEY555 yes, gayrilla biscuits. google the song "bringin it down my throat".
Killer!!!
fucking awesome
Take me away by Judge
obv number one is the music, but i dont care who you are, all i gotta i say is that everybody likes to dress up, hardcore kids dress a certain way, metalheads dress the certain way etc....each scene has a look
@uberscheisse Gayrilla biscuits??
BACK UP YOUR HARD DRIVE!!! Good stuff tho thanks for posting.
"How's it feel to get the shit kicked outta you dude?" Haha awesome
that was the pure HC spirit, hatebreed drag HC to mainstream,,,,HC life till i fucking die!
that was fucking cool.!
fuck, that was awesome
Hardcore isn't about how you look. I hate how everyone worries so much about who's wearing what, makes no fuckin' sense.
great hard music but f straight edge
Lol. What did straight edge do to you?
