I taught trial law to lawyers. 2 things: Trump's lawyers are terrible, some should be disbarred, and there are 2 tiers of justice one for Trump and one for the rest of us. His disrespect of America is unspeakable.

It’s not an attorney’s JOB to “control “ a witness,unless it’s THEIR client who is testifying. Even then, the witness has the risk of not coming across favorably to the jury if they are not permitted to show some emotion.
What everyone leaves out about Stormy talking is so obvious. It was not just the assault in the suite, it was the years of terror. This is traumatic. When a person has been put trough so much for so long, it all runs together. One piece leads to another because they have been carrying all of it for so long. I've seen it said on another site that the delay of the documents case did him no favors. With the indefinite delay, it allows the Atlanta and D.C. cases to actually be moved up and put on their respective dockets. I'm betting it will be the D.C. case first, as soon as the Supreme Court hands down the decision on immunity. Mostly because the judge there said the clock on it will start again immediately with 89 days or less to the first day of trial. I'm also betting that Smith has everything ready to roll on that case, including any probabilities of what the Supreme Court may hand down.

They did not even discuss the facts of the case before them - there was absolutely no reason to hear that case - so assuming they will act rationally from here is nonsensical .

Mistrial comes from evidence that is UNFAIRLY prejudicial weighed against its relevance. As my law school professor said, all evidence is prejudicial. There is no objection just because the evidence against you prejudices the idea of innocence.
