- This is a huge try-on haul from two recent trips to Sephora. The mindset for this haul was trying to put any silly biases aside about products I had been unwilling to try before.

I am really glad you highlighted NARS because I swear that their boring marketing does not do their products Justice. Their bronzer and blushes are still some of the best out there. Also, they were often one of the very few luxury brands that had colors in blush for brown and black skin for a long time.
Love Nars! So many favourites of mine..
THOSE NAMES THOUGH. 🙊
Realizing my kryptonite is Kackie referring to a product as, “cosmetically elegant”. Immediately adds to cart!
Pahahahshwh sameee
Same
Kackie buying a Nrtrshr Drnrnr palette?! Shocked me to my core 😅
Show all the neutral to coral tones you want, my friend! I’m a very high contract girlie (very dark hair and eyes with pale skin) so my best product colours tend to be completely opposite to yours 8 times out of 10, but your channel is one of very few makeup related channels I follow because you discuss formulation and colour theory so freaking well!
🥹🥹🥹 this is so sweet and amazing thank you!!
every time I watch your videos compared to anyone else's I'm like "oh right, Kackie shoots high resolution." It's incredible to actually see the products so clearly. Thank you for the effort and camera expenses you put in
I actually think that specific Natasha denona palette is more of a muted warm palette. Yes it includes very gray colors but they have more yellow in them than blue-especially the pinks! It’s definitely more neutral warm
😂 I never understood why you hated ND pallets so much as I’ve never had any trouble with them and the I Need a Nude pallet has become my favorite largeish palette ever. But now that you mentioned the brushes, I aways use rephr. So that’s probably why. How funny.
I really appreciate that you buy your own products! The PR stuff in the makeup community has got out of control. Many content creators only post a video when they get PR nowadays.
Fellow Millennial Aries here….the statement about self worth being tied to being productive and struggling to allow yourself to just “be”. Holy shit no truer words were ever spoke.
I find this so clear and pretty. It’s like what Keira Knightley would look like if she had me over for a cold lunch on her lawn, washed down with lemonade (which I’m sure could happen any day now, of course.)
I will always be here for the swatches, the product comparison, the color theory, the passion, and the lovely chaos! I LOVE the fact that you have real, honest opinions and you are not afraid of giving them. And I think that having all of these products to review and compare is the backbone of your channel and frankly it is exactly what I want from a reviewer. Finally what keeps me coming back is the amount of details and the length you go to explain all the reasons as to why it works or does not work for you. Therefore everybody can make an educated choice! You are truly a gem 💛
Kacks! I totally bought the nd I need a nude palette against your recs when it came out and thought the color story was a bedroom eyes brown dream come true! I hope to see more looks from you with this palette 😊
I love the INAN palette and I have medium-deep skin value. For days when I want to wear mindless makeup that looks pretty I reach for it, especially in the cooler months when I’m less tan. I enjoy this concept of challenging your biases when it comes to certain brands. Hope to see a drug store version of this concept, though I’m very aware that is not your preference. Thanks Kackie!
I would really love to see Behave swatched against some of your favorite beige blushes! I don't necessarily think it's a dupe, but im curious to see how it compares--Fleurtatious is a bit too cool for me, and Behave looks a bit warmer.
This is exactly how I use these Pat blush sticks! They work so well this way and look so glowy!
(And they last and aren’t sticky!)
Yes I was so pleased!!
Omg Kackie 😭😭! I just love you… thank you for sharing my video ❤️. You’re a gem! I’ve been loving that primer… Leah was onto something!!
Wait… a Makeup Hobbyist! Yes! That’s me… ok… now I know what to call myself!
Love this idea of preconceived biases. If we can examine them in our make up world we can maybe start in the default world. Xx
Really value you sharing your thoughts/philosophy on your role as a reviewer, particularly around changing your mind/being corrected at the end. With absolutism often rewarded, particularly on social media, your embrace of uncertainty and curiosity is refreshing and appreciated.
Thank you! 🥲
Your commentary on millennials finding their self worth in productivity and output hit so close to home. I’m constantly at odds with myself to relax more and sit with myself without thinking, planning, or doing. It does not come naturally lol
I'm so glad to hear from someone else that is enjoying the Lisa Eldridge tint as much as me. I have also seen improvement in my skin over the last few weeks. I'm so happy I found your channel!
The after baum is SO GREAT. So hydrating and not tacky ❤
And it feels ESPECIALLY good and calming and cooling if I have any kind of irritation. It’s my favorite skincare product.
I could be completely misremembering but I swear I heard that Sonia G designed her brushes at first to work with ND shadows. I use her brushes for everything because they’re just lovely
Oh wow
She did!
If you don’t have it already, the Ami Cole blush stick (lip & cheek) in the shade Dune is beautiful and wears well. Slip by Merit is one of my favorite lip colors of all time, along with Baby, 1990, Tiger, L’Avenue…these are the only lipsticks I want to wear lately!
Natoosh and Naurrrs - what a winning combo today!
Omg watching with bated breath once you showed the Natasha Denona palette! I used to be a ND eyeshadow slanderer, but I’ve come around to loving them and I have 3 palettes now (one of them being the nude palette). I feel like it needs a warm, chocolatey brown, but otherwise it’s perfect. the shimmers are just stunning.
Thank you for being such an honest reviewer. I really appreciate how transparent you are. I am learning so much about color theory from you too! Need more honest reviewers out there.
Limited Too - that description sold it for me! As a dance completion girly back in the day, their glittery camis were everything!
Kackie! I finally went and gave a little sniff sniff to father figure and GOOD GOD MAN, what a scent! And it actually smells nice on me… I feel like so many don’t smell right on me but this is just glorious. I used to buy Amore Pacific only because I loved the smell.. this is so similar to that but in an actual perfume. Love it so much ❤❤❤
Never made that connection! I too love the amore pacific smell (I still have a hoard of the Enzyme peel)and I looove Father Figure.
Ooo my gosh -I had this same experience yesterday going into both Sephora and Ulta with a list of stuff new & back-on-radar makeup that I initially felt I’d be unimpressed or bored by. But every. Single. One I swatched, I stopped and went, “… dammit. it’s good.”
Yay I'm so excited for you to try inan!!! It's the best!
Gosh, I don’t know, even on camera I LOVED this look! That eyeshadow did something special to your eyes. Also, your skin looked gorgeously natural pre-eyeshadow application, and then it was very satisfying to see you do your Kackie thing of dialing in the skin to match the eyeshadow.
This definitely got me to want to look at Nars blush again. So pretty. Also the I need a Nude palette. So pretty on you. Loved this final look. Gorgeous 😍. Also, I appreciate that you can identify and call put your own biases. That can be difficult. So good job!
So much fun watching you create a more intricate eye look today, well, 4 days ago! So much fun!
Gooood morning Kackie!!!!
I’m getting ready for work right now, barely a human but here we are! Lol 😂❤️
gooood morning! hopefully this jolts you to life 😂
I am right there with you with loving the elegance of Mother Pat's formulas! Stickergate made me super-sad--I miss using my mothership palettes terribly! haha 🖤
😩😫😫
Yessss!!! This means we'll be seeing more looks from you using a palette I actually use! I love the I Need A Nude and it's pretty much all I'm wearing these days. I love that all the taupey browns buff out to lovely rosy shades. I think Delilah is an insanely beautiful, glam shade. And don't sleep on Filigree! It's high drama in a very wearable way. I've been using it with synthetic brushes and not having a problem, but a couple of the shimmers do have weird pitting in them from use. Maybe that's why.
Well done for getting over your Denona thing, you were seriously missing out!
Just partway through, but THOSE BLUSHES. Stunning!
I watch ALL your videos, this might be one of the best ever! You are SO articulate, and do an AMAZING job of explaining in a super useful manner! Please never go away! We ❤ you!
I have all of the ND palettes in the midi size, and I feel like natural hair brushes make a huge difference with the cream to powder formula (thanks Alicia Archer for pointing this out). I feel like the brushes don’t matter quite as much with the INAN palette because the mattes are all just a standard matte formula. I’m excited to see if you try the natural brushes in your other palette and if you like it better. It was a game changer for me with so many of them!
Love that you came around to Natasha Denona’s INAN palette!! It’s one of my all-time faves 😍😍 You never cease in keeping me (& others!) entertained, Kackie-I appreciate you❣️❣️❣️
This whole look is gorgeous!!!
So glad you found the Natoosha Danoonoo pallet for you! 💛
I love this pallet. I purchased it when it first came out, and I’ve hit pan on several shades. I think you would like the Glam pallet, too.
This is a great idea for a video. It makes me think about doing this in other areas of my life. very cool.
Ooh such great eye candy this morning!
I'm interested in your thoughts on the new reformulated Fenty liquid foundation - made for dry skin in mind
I just got it!
Part of me needs or atleast likes to know what your review will be for certain products. I feel you have never steered me wrong in what you recommend .In Kackie I trust 😊
Loved it -learned so much - Thank you, Kackie!
I love this episode!!!
I think this was a fantastic face of makeup on you! So, so pretty!!!
2 minutes and 44 seconds into the video and I’ve been influenced to go to Sephora!!!😂😂❤️
😂😂😂
One of us! One of us!
Loved this!
Loved this video Kackie and always good to find out which brush bristles work best with the formula. Some Times I will dm or email a brand to find out
Alicia Archer just posted a full face of Pat McGrath yesterday. She absolutely rocked that cream blush!
Alicia is the authority on PMG, in my opinion. She is awesome!
Agreed!
Hey girlie can u please let us know how the fenty new highlight is because apparently it’s amazing and I’m so curious about it because I hated her old highlights
Love that cool look ❤
I’m very fair and cool toned and the Sephora collection contour stick is my perfect brontour shade. I find their powder contour is slightly cooler (and also very effective on my skin tone)
Ohh I'll try the stick, the powder contour is 👌
OMG! SAME! LOL got on Ulta with all my Ulta points and VOILA!
call me primitive but I literally use my fingers for everything so I have a very limited brush selection. What are natural bristle brushes/what are they made out of?
Natural bristle brushes are made from animal hair. I think goat and boar are some of the more common fur/hair types; some expensive ones use squirrel fur.
@@WolffBlurr oh wow okay thank you!
i just 'discovered' the menlo park loc towards the end of the sale, and i was surprised at how much more they had in store that i wish i found it earlier on. Sometimes il go to the loc in LI but i rarely get into the city these days. When i swatched the new nars blushes they were so silky (they removed talc), i put 1 on my list for Ulta but I also just tried the bronzer again after years and love the shade 01
Yes. Had to have that Byredo gloss. Bought it on launch. I feel seen here.
How do you think Nars Behave compares to the lightest shade of the Gucci bronzer (01 Fair)?
Oh my this is how I want my makeup to look everyday!
hi queen im a newer follower and have been loving your content! we have similar skin type (I jokingly say I have lizard skin lol) and its been sooooo helpful to see what you’ve been enjoying! Thank you for your service 🫡 and hope you and your family are having a wonderful day
Hi thank you for being here!!!
You make this face of makeup look so effortless to achieve, your face truly looks beautiful & natural & really really lovely ❤
I do not wear makeup and I don't own any but I love watching your videos Kackie. You are fun and delightful and I enjoy your take on products. I have an unusual amount of makeup/brand knowledge because of you!!! LOL
I would like a video of what you would have in your collection as an alternate universe version of yourself as a beauty enthusiast, but not as a creator. If your collection magically vanished, what would you rebuild it to in the following 6 months or so? A lot of people do the premise of something traumatic happening like a fire and then i feel like that fake traumatic premise tends to influence the choices, especially not spending too much all at once or only choosing 1 thing per category vs just what would you really miss and want back and not necessarily what is the most practical stripped down collection that you could “make do” with. I feel like the premise is more helpful to a subscriber if it’s a circumstance that isn’t a disaster, even just like a Freaky Friday moment with an alternate timeline Kackie that just wakes up, collection is gone, you’re working a “normal” job, but you have all the knowledge and experience of having “had” an entire beauty library.
Yeah! I suggested natural bristle brushes, glad you tried them out with the ND. I might get the Byredo gloss 🥴 it doesn’t seem to have vitamin E in it, which is almost impossible to find and it makes my lips peel. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! I long for a beautiful product experience sometimes instead of just Aquaphor, y’know?
Hey Kackie, I use your cream blushes everyday! Are these Nars blushes a similar colour to your Summer Abroad beiges? (I'm fair, neutral to slightly olive)
Good morning Kackie. I am almost your skin twin but I lean more cool like Tom. I love seeing Cool tone looks on you. If I were to recreate this look, I would need to stop before the makeup by Mario because that is too yellow for my face but looks glorious on you! I hope Mario releases a more cooler tone version in the future in a shade that resembles the Gucci bronzer in number 1. Do you have a recommendation for a cream bronzer that runs cool and that has a finish like the makeup by Mario? If you like the translucent finish of the Pat McGrath blush stick but did not appreciate the lack of staying power, you might enjoy the Lisa Eldrige luxuriously lucent lipstick formula as a blush. I wear it all the time. I work 12 plus hour days and it lasts. I use the Patrick Ta method and apply over powder for reference.
Love the eye look! How is the formula compared to ATHR? I’m always looking for a replacement for my fav ATHR rose quartz palette and wondered if you had a recommendation. That would be such a lovely video - your recommendations to replace beloved beauty items that are no longer produced. Thanks, Kackie!
I love future dew! I wear it almost everyday!
It's one of my fave products - a surefire way to make me look well-hydrated & prevent my concealer from sticking to texture on minimal makeup days. I have combo skin, so it's too much for me under a foundation but omfg. It's just so beautiful. My favourite way to wear it is dabbing a bit of green colour corrector onto my fingertips, adding a pump or two of Futuredew, & then spreading it across the skin.
@@ZijnShayatanicaI have a green corrector as well and I want to try that!
@@hannahsmith8462 I hope it works out for you! I have a lot of redness because ruddy Irish complected nonsense, so it's super effective for my purposes, hahah
Violette has a new coral blush and I think you will love it!
Hey Kackie! Just wondering how you rank the Ciele foundation in relation to the Lisa Eldridge one? I was torn between the two but the Sephora sale put the Ciele as an easy no brainer for me. I've been loving it tbh but I also just love Lisa so I'm curious if you find one more hyderating, more thin, more long wearing, etc. Thanks! xoxo
The Lisa Eldridge is wildly thin. In that sense nothing is comparable.
It looks really good
I'm so confused by the I Need a Nude palette. I've seen/heard many people describe it as a cool palette, or cool leaning. But it seems more neutral warm to me? Or are there indeed shades in there that are definitely cool?
Depends on your skin tone! Everything I saw on social media made it look neutral but it ended up being SO cool and purply on me. I looked sick. Didn't realize my skin was so warm/yellow!
I bought the I need a nude palette during the sale & had such a hard time making it work. I don't mind a brown-leaning shimmer, but there were so many in that palette that I felt I didn't have any other choices. I posted a video on monday all about gaslighting myself into buying that palette when I KNEW it wouldn't work for me. Those Nars blushes are such beautiful colors, I wanted to pick up infatuated, but it was out of stock in store. Armani has a similar shade called Desire...I think.
What's the name of the large powder brush you use to apply the blushes? Please and thank :)
EDIT: I think this may be the BK Beauty 102 Brush, just in case anybody else is interested in knowing.
ive never used natural bristle brushes because i'd rather spend my money on anything besides tools (even if i realistically know how important tools are). what is the advantage or difference over synthetic?
Soo is it really worth it to also get the Natasha palette if I already have and love the Ethereal Eyes by Mario? I was quite back and forth on which one to buy last year, but went for the Mario because it had a warmer brown in there. Now I wonder if it's worth having both as the formulas are very different and Natasha's does offer a bit more variety in the shimmers....
Hey, new here (first video I’ve ever seen).. wondering where your black and green ring is from.
Looking forward to watching more of your videos :)
What brush do you use with the Mario enhancer? It looked like a BK brush
What brush are you using for the blush application thank you
I wanted ND’s “I need a nude” worked for me.. for some reason all them colors looked grey on me.. so I gave it to my sister.. she more fair than me.. so sad.. but love it on you!! I love this make up on you!!
I haven’t heard you mention the prequel skincare since your video about them. How do you feel about it now? I bought a bunch of it based on your video and I love it.
I'm a broken record about them hahaha. I still use it every single day. The lotion is the first thing on my skin, face and body, every single day.
The Byredo lip gloss is intriguing me! I love the Byredo Mineralescape color story, that's my neutral palette, not the ND neutrals - that the ND is so peachy and warm and I don't like that color story at all. On me the Byredo formula lasts literally all day which is fantastic.
What brush did you use to apply the Nars Blush?
Love your videos! You may have mentioned this somewhere, but what is the concealer brush you are using? It looks super fabulous!
Oh NO, now I want to buy that palette just for the bedroom eye browns!!! Kackie PLEASE give us alternatives to those brown shimmers I can’t just buy that HUGE palette just for those browns (still waiting for the new urban decay to be available here in the EU)
i know, i never buy palettes anymore but the browns in there are so pretty!
I finally bought Behave in the NARS sale🥰
I don’t know how it would interact with perioral dermatitis, but I’ve bought a 92 percent aloe vera gel from the Korean brand Nature Republic a number of times- there are other high percentage aloe gels out there as well- and the one I’ve used feels like just pure, non-oily hydration that just sinks into your skin.
That could be great for me. Thank you!
Which Rephr brushes do you use? Also what was that big beautiful brush you used to apply the blush?
Most channels change from collectors to review once they subscribers reach a certain threshold. It's very different to write off beauty purchases as personal or business expense.
Kackie! Please could you try iconic London?
Hey!! Do you have opinions on the westman Atelier vs the monika blunder?
The WA is a greasier finish than the MB. That makes the WA sound awful, and it is not, it is very pretty, but it is a heavy sort of very glowy finish. I don’t think the MB works well as a concealer as advertised, but I like it well enough as a foundation. Probably not well enough to buy it again when the Fenty Eaze stick exists though…
I feel like the mattes in I Need a Nude are different than my older ND mattes! Easier for me for sure.
can u swatch infatuated against haus labs fire moon? pleaseeeeee
What gauge/mm are your lobes?
I have been so torn on the ND palette because I have the Mario palette but I only use the mats I don’t like the glitter shades I want satin/metallics… is the ND palette more like that?
I'd say it's a mix, but there are more options possibly more that you would like. I'm not really into the glitter either. A few are very glittery, but I just don't use them that much.
I personally think that the shimmers are nice and subtle but gorgeous in the INAN palette. It’s a phenomenal palette!
I love your makeup. WA foundation has one of the most beautiful finishes but it has to be used lightly. Most people put too much of it on and that is why it does not work for them.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
