It be cool if there was a story arc in wrestling related to Walter White. Perhaps someone who has been in the business for years and never got his big break, but soon finds himself with a career threatening injury and is forced to face the limited time he has as a wrestler.

The main problems with WWE storytelling now are the fact that booking can be changed mid match, so any long term plans are hard to put in place.Logic seems to go out the window now, as people turn face and heel so fast people wonder what is happening (take Elias as an example). And now the worst thing they do now is rush stories. When The Rockers split, you could see Shawn Michaels getting more and more frustrated over the previous 3 -- 4 months. Now they do that story line in 2--3 weeks and have Marty Jannetty on Main Event less than a month later.

Idk what people say, but Seth Rollins's career arc up till now has been perfect.
Forms a group with two of his friends, dominate together, others think that it's a brotherhood, for him it was just a union.
Joins the evil corporation and gets all the success
Gets a career threatening injury, comes Back, realises he was wrong , fights his mentor.
Connects with the fans , fights for them and slowly climbs back to the top.
Tries to make fans happy and thinks he is doing the right thing, but the fans grow tired and turn on him.
He gets delusional and becomes this narcissistic ego maniac who thinks he is a Messiah.
    That's gold

I think often times people both in and out of the wrestling industry take the potential for telling great compelling storys for granted. Not many people see that if done well wrestling can be a lot more then cheap entertainment. Just look at the bull nakano and aja Kong story or gargano and ciampa. Coincidentally both these feuds are storys of friendship, betrayal and reconciliation and they both where centred around the world title.

I've always told people when wrestling writing is good and story arcs are complete wrestling storylines can be as good as any other form of media. The difference is sometimes they these stories and characters can play out over multiple years and multiple companies. Perhaps one of my favorite modern wrestling Sagas is Kevin Owens/Steen Vs Sami Zayne/El Generico feud. The fact they keep doing the same kind of ladder spot over and over reminds me of that joker line from Dark "I Feel like we are gonna be doing this forever".

Here are a few stories-lines suggestions for excellent dreams
that I know fans will be in awe to see at Wrestle mania main card
    only.
    !. A Raw's Dream Grudge Match
The Demon Finn Balor Vs. The Phenom Undertaker
Storyline- After failing to win the Universal Championship
from Brock Lesnar at the 2019 Royal Rumble. He gives up on
his believers on all of his fans that he believes that has given-up
on him. On an episode of Raw he schedule to have a match with
whomever (No jobbers please). Finn Balor entrance is the Demon's
entrance (Upgraded.) He wrestle in the match more aggressively
as like (Prince Dewitt in NJPW.) meaning he destroys his opponent
from that episode moving forward Finn Balor wrestles as
The Demon-Prince Devitt only. After one match his critical-pipe bombs all
the legendary/icons whom compare to the Demon/Prince Devitt is has copied
off of him. He evens says he can do better with their gimmicks than
all of them. On later episode of Raw he comes out using the Undertaker's theme
entrance music after winning another match The Demon does the icon kneel on
one knee Undertaker's pose. After winning another match he does a promo as the
Demon but using the Rest in Peace catchphrase of the Undertaker. In-between all
this he faced off against Kane first on the Elimination Chamber PPV's Kick-Off Show in a
match He mocks Kane by using (the same lit on fire casket/coffin entrance of the Undertaker)
After destroying Kane The Demon reveals another casket/coffin he put Kane in the casket/coffin
seal the casket/coffin to lit the casket/coffin as using the Undertaker's supernatural powers (a bolt of
lightening) to lit the casket/coffin on fire. The next night on Raw The Demon/Prince Devitt does a promo
of bury the Undertaker's Urn into an dug up gravestone's hole next to Paul Bearer (No disrespect to amazing
Paul Bearer.) Does even have to be the Real Paul Bearer grave site. Buries the Urn 6-feet deep with real dirt.
Then You can't defeat the me your power is my power now. At Fast Lane PPV The Demon/Prince Devitt
comes out does an last mocking-call-out for the Undertaker at the end of the PPV of course fill the ring with
pig's blood saying this is my graveyard. Finally the Phenom appears in the ring with the pig's blood still
flowing down into the ring onto the Phenom. The PPV ends as a blood-soak Phenom stares into The Demon/Prince Devitt
he is staring back at the Phenom with a sinister smile. On Raw the Phenom comes out to challenge to an epic dream grudge
match at Wrestle mania. All night the Demon/Prince Devitt and the Phenom play their supernatural mind games on each other though out the
night until the Demon/Prince Devitt appears in the ring to mock and accept the challenge to face the one and one supernatural presence of the
legendary/iconic wrestler the Phenom the Undertaker. Wrestle mania 35 Normal long dream grudge match in the same sense as Finn Balor Vs. AJ Style
but the entrances at the spectacular.

The thing which is like the internal stuggle of the IWC is, storyline vs sport.whats more important? Is it Workrate vs "Telling a story" in the ring? And also boils down to When,to finish a story. And as you know some Wrestling feuds are never ending or both singles or tag teams start angles with other workers after doing a program with a main protagonists/Antagonists. In most recent memory there are been the Clash of Two World's(the past example was WCW vs The New World Order, or most recently is Impact Wrestling vs.....itself or "TNA Wrestling") and a personal favorite was the Flair vs Steamboat trilogy, which after the 3rd and final match morphed into Ric Flair vs Terry Funk.

    • @DaveKnowsWrestling
      @DaveKnowsWrestling  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

See the thing is, while I totally respect you opinion, I dislike the internal IWC struggle. I don't care for drawing a line in the sand on things, as the internet tends to do with everything. I don't have to sacrifice work rate for storytelling or vice versa. I want, demand and can have both.

Here are some dream matches story line arcs for Wrestlemania 35. Seth Rollins Vs. AJ Styles Wrestlemania 35 most competitive dream match ever.
AJ Styles loses the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship.

but when Brock Lesnar is walking up the ramp to the back. AJ Styles music comes
on he runs down to ring to help Seth Rollins up from sitting on the bottom corner
They stare each other down as they shake hands. Until AJ Styles set Rollins up
for the styles clash he gets out rolls out the ring and points out to the Wrestlemania 35
sign indicating one of the greatest must-see matches in Wrestlemania history. They promo the
match as the road to Wrestlemania 35 moves forward even having a couple of tag teams or singles
matches to make sure the match will be the greatest dream match ever.

Triple H and/or Stephanie McMahon lifts Becky's 60 days suspension

I love Story Arcs,my favorite Seinfeld season is season 4 when he and George write a tv show. The season starts with NBC offering Jerry a show and the last episode it's being passed on. I don't think story arcs are as important in wrestling. Sure it is great to have a beginning middle and end but sometimes story lines are just so bad and bombing that they just have to stop. Like when Lana was with Dolph Ziggler and Rusev was with Summer Rae. Although I do think there was something there with Lana and Dolph and they quit to early with them Rusev and Summer together was horrid. That needed to end as soon as possible.

@@DaveKnowsWrestling That is true. I was watching a WOWW Women of Wrestling that I DVRd awhile ago and I just watched. They had a triple threat for their Championship. They had one of those 2 people pin one person endings. The champion was one of the 2. Anyway the next week the owner he has the belt and he says the belt his held up. I didn't get how since technically it was a draw but w/e that wasn't the bad part. The champion couldn't be there that week because the girl that got pinned beat up her father 6 weeks before and that night was when she had to take care of him. 🙄 So they decided to have a match with the girl that got pinned and the other one that pinned her and the girl that got pinned won after interference after a ref bump. My head wanted to explode watching this? Why was the girl who got pinned even in this for one?

Rare in the sense that people didn't feel the need to conserve them. You can buy them online, but I tend not to trust comics that I can't see in person first. I do hear what you are saying on this. It does seem within a short amount of time fans will cool off on an angle. However, I do feel there are several points to this. First is NXT has a rapid fire timeline, which I think is one solution. But also, too many shows and PPVs hurt things too. Spacing things out with less appearance allows the freedom to not overexpose an angle, which gets fans tired of it
