Think of this. In 1998 the Detroit Lions chose 20th and their divisional competitor the Minnesota Vikings chose 21st. The Lions took Terry Fair corner back. The Vikings took Randy Moss wide receiver. The Lions and Terry Fair got burned by Randy Moss so many times it wasn't funny. The Lions have played in only 4 playoff games since 1998 and have failed to win even one. The combined scores of those four games have the Lions losing 67 to 122. And 1998 was Barry Sanders last year as a Lion. He rushed for 1,491 yards and had 289 yards receiving. He retired after the season at age 30 because he felt the team was going nowhere. The Lions had two receivers that year who had 980 yards and 1,000 yards respectfully but their combined TD's was 7. Moss had 17 alone that year.

If you really learn about those rare talents that play sports, you will see one thing in common there work ethic is the biggest reason they were great.
Randy Moss caught bricks with one hand on a regular basis and that is why he can pretty much catch anything throwing at him. If you can catch bricks with one hand tossed at you, then catching a football with two hands should be as automatic as walking.
Walter Payton would run up a hill that even players of today that are freaks of an athlete that can't do that without throwing in the towel. That was his key to being able to run people over with ease and still do it late game.
    th-cam.com/video/dqmxWZ8Rbwc/w-d-xo.html
I think in the end Randy tried to ride talent all the way and if he would of put a little more work in, he could have easily been the best. I mean the man is saying I don't do stretches before games, that there tells me about his worth ethic.

yo jacob moss ran a 4.38 on a bad hamstring at the combine. fully healthy at his pro day he ran a 4.25. some videos of pure raw highlights can be found if you search Randy Moss Myth Busting by Bruce Davis. particularly the one with the subtitle Not a Superfreak will show you dozens of plays you have never seen that will blow you away. particularly 3 or 4 bubble screens where he simply out runs the entire defense. i don't think you understand the level of athlete this guy was. 3 sport all state in high school. lead dupont to back to back state championships in football playing wide receiver safety kick and punt returner and did the kicking and punting too. named one of top 50 greatest high school players in history. two time west virgina basketball player of the year on a team that had future nba cult hero jason white chocolate williams. its sad nfl network always uses his combine time instead of his pro day. also watch a quick video by searching Dante Hall Randy Moss. Dante Hall won the fastest man in the nfl at the pro bowl i think 3 years in a row. he talks about moss speed. ran track as a sophomore in high school despite also playing baseball and at 15 ran a 21.95 200 meters and a 10.94 100 and stopped doing track. then at marshall 4 years removed from track he ran a 21.15 200m a then marshall record on one day practice. in 28 games over two seasons at marshall he caught 54 touchdowns while catching at least one td in every game he played. the draft after he was rookie of the year with rookie record 17 tds the division rival green bay packers drafted 3 defensive backs with their first three picks and 4 total dbs in the draft to try to combat moss twice a year. if there is one player that needs a deeper dive it is randy. he doesn't look as fast as he is cause hes has such long strides. the myth busting videos are must watch i promise it will make for good reaction content or just for your own enjoyment.

Uhh Rice isnt listed at 65 hes #1 on this list and for a reason.

@@kembo1869 he's not the best WR, Moss is easily better, he just didn't get the rings. Rice can't do what Moss could easily do, you simply can't defend Moss, nice try though.

And Rice did it in a era where DB's can get away with anything, unnecessary roughness, helmet to helmet and targeting. You must be young or a little boy considering your lack of football knowledge on Rice. Not your fault kid.

Moss cant hold his jockstrap you child....... Moss was a quitter too and would give up when times were tough. Jerry is the greatest and would work his ass off everyday all off season. Deion Sanders, Troy Aikemen, and Michael Irvin all consider Rice the Goat too and they were the worst of enemies. You realize this list was voted by players and coaches too dipshit? Talk about being owned, never talk about football again Zachy boy. What an embarrassment.

@@kembo1869 haha, you're funny bud, but let's be honest, Rice can't jump over people, he can't catch anything crazy. The man had better QB's too, Brady wasn't the GOAT in 07. Stop with the excuses that simply aren't true, and except that Moss is you're daddy.

If they did a new list he would be much higher. This was from 2010 I think he was still playing

1998-2000 Moss w/ Brady scores like 30 TD in a season.

He's a top 2 reciever of all time. In my opinion he is number 1 but a lot of people would say Jerry Rice and they arent wrong. TO is the 3rd best and my favorite player 😎

He was a beast when he wasn't taking plays off, if he weren't so lazy he could've had all the receiving records.
