- The Georgia immigration officer at the Sarpi border with Turkey refused entry to my friend despite having a valid eVisa he got from the online official website. We had everything i.e. flight, hotel booking, and money but the Georgian immigration officer didn't allow my friend to enter Georgia.

I had unpleasant experience at Tbilisi immigration 1 year back when I travelled from Gulf to Georgia with family.
I have Pakistani passport with valid RP and with complete documents.
At immigration counter, they asked me and my family to go to a corner , where other Pakistanis were also seen waiting for their fate.
After waiting for nearly 10-15 minutes, one officer came and started asking why you are visiting Georgia.
I showed him all the documents. Then he asked us to go to the counter again, and the officer rudely behaved and threw passport towards us after stampings!
Will not recommend anyone to visit a country where you are not welcomed.

This happens when you have bad passport if you have visa free like other great country then this thing generally don't happen. And I don't why he experience like this because he has Turkish passport which has visa free like other countries.

Loads of Indonesians having the same issue, apparently small quantity did successfully enter but mostly the reason of refusal is "Not allowed using land border", so if you guys would have taken a flight your friend won't have any issue.

That's really v strange that why he refused to ur friend.v also visited Tblisi in 2017 on Dubai residency.their attitude was okay with us.but u took good decision to have Turkey road trip together

In many countries, eVisa only works for international airports, not land border crossings. Please verify if that is not the case. Many people from India go to Georgia from the UAE and do not report any problems at all. Some Pakistanis have also visited but I guess they are looked upon as potential migrants. The behavior could be because of political reasons because our govt. supports Azerbaijan. So, sometimes the reasons could be beyond your guesses. For instance, I did not know until recently that our govt does not recognize Armenia and to this day I have no idea why?

My friend from India (UAE resident) told me that they also have problems. They are being deported from Serbia too. I guess it is more of colour prejudice....
Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Pakistan are part of the Western Alliance against Russia. So this issue is not political, but definitely racial. It could also be because some Pakistanis may have tries to claim refugee status in Georgia.

I face the same situation at Georgia airport tiblisi, they kept me waited for half and hour and at the time of interview when the officer saw the my passport with full of visa of all big countries he had no choice but let me go with Sorry Sir for inconvenience.

I live in Denmark having Danish nationality (Born in Pakistean). I recently traveled to Georgia with family for a very short tour (~ 5days) in Feb.2024. I was astonished to see, that at Kutaisi airport, Immigraiton officer handed us over to another immigration officer for further investigation. After sometime, they allowed us to enter but it was not a good experience.

It happened with me yesterday. We group of 6 friends indian and pakistanies travelled from Abu Dhabi and at Tiblisi airport after checking info as you said above they allowed 5 friends to enter and they told me that you cant enter and you have to go back. No singal reason was given. I had good travel history before for europe, UK USA etc good job etc tried to shown everything but they did not listened. After spending 5 hours in one singal room along with few other peoples we got returned back to Sharjah. It was terrible experience especially when they are taking you to small room with police guys on your head showing we are real bad peoples, very bad behavior from immigration and police officials. Will never visit again, why to face such humiliation when you are paying and going there plus we boost their tourism. My suggestion not to visit Georgia and instead visit Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan etc.

I had similar experience on this border but in my case Turkish immigration didn’t allow me to enter even though I had an E-visa. I had a valid US visa so I had got an E-visa for Turkey. Turkish immigration officers didn’t speak English at this border and just told me to go back. I don’t know they were stupid or were just acting stupid. I asked why I should go back and they showed me my old Turkish sticker visa and said visa is expired. I told them that I have also given you a valid E-visa but they kept telling me to go back to Georgia. Then I found a young officer at there and asked him ttranslate. He said they are saying that you need a sticker visa. I told this guy that I entered Turkey on an E-visa 2 months ago at Istanbul. He told me they are saying that E-Visa doesn’t work at land border. I told him that such rule is not written anywhere. He said I understand you but my senior officers have said this and they will not allow you to enter. Then those senior officers started getting angry at me. The junior officer translated they were saying that they will put a Denied Entry stamp on my passport if I don’t go back. Then I had to go back to Batumi at 3 AM. For me, Turkish immigration was worse because Georgian immigration allowed me entry three times on the land border. Once from Russia, once from Azerbaijan and once from Turkey.
Have same problem with Thai passport. Showed apt booking, money, tickets and after 30 mins rejected

I heard the cases of refusal entery even if you reach there by flight and have evisa with you.

While holding a valid US visa and UK i went to Georgia ( Tiblisi). The immigration made me wait more than 1 hour. I had credit cards, insurance and cash. I had gone there to buy property. After sepending two weeks, I realized that Georgia was a police state, hence I decided to drop my plan to buy a property there.
Do they sell property to Pakistanis?
I had confronted the same experience they did not allow me to enter from Azerbahinjan although I was a GCC resident identity they hate aisian, after having a lot of conversation they allow me to enter to Georgia at this moment when i feel now its time to show my attitude i refused to enter and i said that, now i am interested , believe they felt insult but could not do anything

Georgia is known for its strict border control policies. It is interesting to note that Georgia offers E-visas to Indian citizens, yet many still face disrespect and refusal upon arrival.

December ke mahine mein, mere 3 dost Baku se Tbilisi gaye, by airline, unko wapas deport kar diya gaya. Woh Oman mein kaam karte hain, unke paas sirf Oman ka work permit hai, lekin unko on arrival visa mil sakta hai. Magar ye log Pakistaniyon ko nahi chorte, specifically Pakistaniyon ko. Mere teeno doston ke paas flight tickets bhi the wapas ke liye, hotel booking bhi thi, aur har ek bande ke paas 2000 USD bhi thay. ab main na jab ya issue dhaki to main ne apni family trip cancel kar de.

I visit Georgia tourist visa from istanbul turkey to Tbilisi airport. I visit first time there immigration officer lot of questions about Trip but finally he allowed to enter in Tbilisi. I visit last February 12th to February 15th .

They should've given some reason. I guess you can always appeal if you are not satisfied with the immigration officer's decision. But Georgia is not that worth it to go through all this hassle.

Tunisia is a third world country per capita income is lesser than india pakistan bangladesh but illegal immigration from tunisia to Europe is a concern and France especially monitors everything in tunisia

same experience with me also even with european visa........ their visa staff is super rude if you look like south asian. They made me wait for three hours till they allow me in. Never gonna visit again!

Same thing happened to me last year in Sri Lanka
When I arrived in Sri lankan immigration they asked me to go their office and they made me wait for 1 hour even though I had every money, return flight, hotel booking so during waiting a officer asked why are you waiting here I said I’m waiting for immigration officer to call me he replied oh you’re Pakistani then you should wait and this line made me emotional and frustrated I went straight to their officer said about same which their officer said to me and asked isn’t it discrimination then he asked me which officer said it to me then he apologised and stamped on my passport and let me in, later when I was leaving he called same officer and was asking if he said anything to me or
