Stacey, this is a Beco ring sling in this video. They have a gathered shoulder which is my personal favorite because of the adjustability, I can adjust it to fit exactly how I want. Some other great brands are Sakura Bloom, Maya Wrap, and Sleeping Baby Productions :-)
i'm totally new to this and trying to learn how to do it the proper way. wondering if baby's knees need to be higher than bum for newborn carry and also i keep hearing fabric to belly button in the seat
Yes knees should be higher than bottom, but fabric does not need to be to belly button. The bottom edge of the sling should create a straight line between the back of the knees :)
