Wow the scenery was spectacular a long that set of tracks . What a beautiful country side drive . And the fall colors were awesome specially a long that lake shoreline . Thanks again for sharing your wonderful travel memories with us your over landing friends . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :):)🍻👍🏼
Omg, that is where our Kathmandu hiking boots just came apart at the lake in montegro after 24 months of traveling..i just could not elieve it. We loved montegro we entered 4 times in 6 months of the balkans
You guy’s have a great simple life :) I like to see you guys cook more it’s very comforting:) have a safe journey guys and thank you so much for great videos.
I suspect a lot of those houses in the mountains are no longer lived in, but serve as a base for looking after farm animals and for a couple weeks of summer holidays
ah that road at the start there I also did last year but on the motorbike, it was hectic on the bike but you're just casually talking as you're going haha!
Another great video guys, thank you, enjoying your adventure very much. Can I ask if you use the UHF radio at all and do you get any grief from the authorities for having it. I've read some countries don't like civilians having radios?? Cheers.
Cheers Darryl, we use it extensively at home, whenever we're travelling with another party internationally, or when we're off-road and one person is out of the Troopy navigating with a hand held. We'd also heard those stories though not once has any border officials, or police said anything when inspecting the Troopy, even in China. Thankfully.
We will do, shortly. Just need to get through this current backlog of footage. The new latches are still going strong. It'll take a fair bit of force to break these ones. The original ones were rubbish!
Hi Folks, Incredible nice scenery… interesting driving in some tight spots..keeps the mass tourist out.. People living there… some people thing such villages are poor.. but.. having been lived in mega cities make you thing different.. Happy traveling Cheers
I absolutely love these videos. (Forgive me, I own a production studio: In post production use the hood of the troopie as a white colour guide. The hood should always be super white, this will keep the saturation in the rest of the video balanced. On overcast days it can be too easy to try a pop the footage of greens with too much saturation. Back it down about 5-10% and the colour will still pop but it will look natural and it won't bleed into the white.). Fantastic camera and drone work. :)
Cheers! Thanks for the tip, colour grading is always something we’ve struggled with. This video editing business is far removed from our industries! The proceeding eps are already completed and loaded onto Patreon so apologies, you’ll have to persevere with our amateur editing when those ones are released!
@@TheWayOverland You are doing amazing with the videos. Colour grading is pretty easy once you find the "white" area for reference. To start colour grading choose a scene where you are filming from the perspective of driving as this will show the bonnet of the Troopie in center screen. Then adjust your contrast, brightness, vibrance and saturation to make the scene look more natural and to pop the colours. The key to this is to always maintain the bonnet of the troopie as "clean white". As soon as the bonnet looks yellow, green or pink you then need to back off some of the settings. When the bonnet looks clean white and the scene also pops with colour you have succeeded. You can then "save" this setting as a custom colour grading option and easily apply it to other scenes. You may want to have a saved preset for sunny days and for cloudy days. Doing this makes it super fast to apply your preset. Best of luck.
You guys are my favorite show on @youtube 🏆! I’m going to call it a Joscar award 🥇
Haha, thanks Jason! 🏆
Beautifully captured the epic autumn colours.
Thanks!
It's a sign your are nearing Europe with all the rain.
Another great video guys 👍🏻
Cheers 👍🏻

Thanks Steve, the scenery and especially the isolation in these parts definitely surprised us!

Did you see lake Skadarsko ?
Lake Shkodër? If so, yes, see two episodes ago.

Haha yep, the Troopy definitely makes things warm and comfortable. I'm sure you felt every rock on that track!

Why don't you do a vehicle review with all the mods? I'm also curious about the latches on the pop-up top and how that's holding up. Thanks.

Thanks Holger, you are very correct there. Some of the happiest people we've met on our travels are the ones with the least.
