Definitely take a certain type of person to not let these get to you. I am that type of person myself. Have been following true crime since I was 12 and there's not much I haven't seen or heard. Usually, people who cover true crime stories are passionate about the subject. It does make us have a very strong need for justice for the wronged.
I was thinking the same thing. When someone breaks into your house you are covered by castle doctrine. Self defense in that situation should be cut and dry. Having people like this go to court will cause other people to hesitate and possibly cost them their lives.
I don't understand why the dispatchers always ask if the person is bleeding when they are shot. Like no, they got shot but believe me they are Okie dokie. No blood here.
a human body is very resiliant.. its not that easy to kill a man as people think..in the war in my country people survived several sniper shots.. half of their head blown off..they must make sure about everything in case it can be helped in any way before the ambulance comes..
because as a paramedic who's seen many bullet wounds not all gunshots bleed, some trickle, and some pour.. it depends on what was hit and where also what type of gun, ammo, e.t.c. That information is relayed to us in the ambulance to know what equipment will be needed to try and stabilize. Someone shot in the chest with a 9mm hollow point or other self defense round may not be bleeding because the bullet entered the lung and pneumothorax is concern meaning a different treatment then if hit in the aorta resulting in a hemorrhage. The human body has a closed circulatory system just because a hole is made doesn't mean you'll bleed heavily. hope that clears up your confusion.
Urmaker I think you've found your calling dude. Your voice is spot on for something like this and you actually do the research and tell the story before, during and after the call so that we all understand the situation and feel much stronger about the call. I love your scary story narrations, but no one does the 911 calls better than you!! Keep em coming bro!
Dude....you are the man! I don't like the channels that play just the call without any context of what's going on with the callers. I appreciate the incredible effort you put into yours. The calls are disturbing on their own. Another reason I appreciate your delivery style, no sensationalism is needed for the darkness that are the calls in and of itself. Love you don't have cheesy background foley, the grimness of death stands on its own. Dude, you the man, thanks again and always do that me time do you don't burn out ...ps, I just ♥ your channel
I think the fascination of these videos is for us older folks we used to watch Rescue 911 hosted by William Shatner when we were kids as well as Unsolved Mysteries, that's must see TV. I agree, I always wondered what happened to these people and love that you are able to give us that insight. Both stories were sad and glad in the first story justice was correctly upheld and served. The second story is where the justice system failed, if they would have found him sooner that young lady would still be alive or at least if he had registered then they could have found somewhere else to live. I hope karma is giving him his just desserts in jail.
My dad used to try and be funny and called it Undissolved Mysteries. I was a latchkey kid and it would scare the crap out of me... Rescue 911 was good too.
One of my family members was on Rescue 911 back in the day. Well, a few were. It was a special on his mom giving birth two his brothers who were having serious complications. One now has a tube in his head. All are well and fine.
Dang first guy gave him every chance in the world. Literally let the guy kick down the door and still didn’t shoot him for so long. Feel bad for that guy who had to do that nobody should have kill someone like that. Hope the dad and the girl are doing ok
Tasha Bonita people react differently to severe and traumatic situations. Tbh this boyfriend is a 911 callers dream! He’s calm, polite, smart, and willing to listen.
I dont know if you take requests for this series, seems weird to make a request for these types of videos, but here I am, doing it anyway! A young boy named Michael Brewer was set on fire by some other kids, and a lady finds him in her swimming pool(he jumped in to put the fire out) and called 911. It is EXTREMELY graphic and disturbing. Through pretty much the whole call, poor Michael is crying and screaming in agony like no person should, much less a child. It truly is one of, if not the worst call I've ever heard. But the lady who found him and called is SOOO wonderful, she works so hard to help him and keep him as calm and comfortable as possible, all things considered. I've only heard it once, don't remember where though, but I think it's a lesser known call, so it might be new content for the viewers. But you do so great at putting these together with all the details, I would love to see you cover it. Thank you for all the hard work and research you put into these, definitely the best 911 call videos on TH-cam! 💚🖤💚🖤
@@amyntut "Michael Brewer, 15, was covered with rubbing alcohol and set on fire in Deerfield Beach, Fla., by his peers. The October 2009 incident was fueled by a debate over a $40 video game. Brewer received multiple skin grafts for the burns that covered 65 percent of his body." I just found this. Fortunately for him, his face didn't seem to be burnt in the added picture. It's still terrible and rather gruesome nonetheless. The dude seems to be doing amazing now though! He's even got a child. It did leave a lot of scars though: physically but also mentally. JAY O’BRIEN: Do you want to live your whole live being considered the victim of what happened to you? MICHAEL BREWER: No. I want to be the person who survived. Came through it. I don’t want to be known as the boy who was set on fire. I want to be the one who survived it and came through and did everything he could to get to where I am today O’BRIEN: you want to be the man who lived? BREWER: Yes. I do.
Girlfriend in the first tape sounded like she might have been into the sauce too. My god. It’s little wonder people don’t want to help when someone comes knocking on the door.
That last call absolutely broke my heart, that girl so young and full of potential. I'll never forget her name, and carry it with me in my heart...Tara.
I can’t imagine how horrible it would be to find the love of your life, get engaged, and eagerly wait for your wedding just for them to be murdered right before it could happen. How heartbreaking and helpless that must feel.
Love your 911 videos but can I make a suggestion? The text is extremely small and hard to read. I have good vision and couldn’t read it at all. Thank you!👍
As a former news reporter I commend you. Your research and delivery is spot on. I agree however that the subtitles need to be enlarged. A lot of work goes into creating accurate subtitles. I've done it myself. Please let us fully reap your greatness with literally the only thing I'd change. Larger text and you've masterfully achieved absolute perfection. Thank you.
I grew up in Jeffersonville, and I'm the same age as she would be. I remember when Tara was murdered. I didn't know her, but we had mutual friends. That was really sad for the community.
@@kevinsundelin8639 Nope. I get multiple sources, yet the past 2 videos I have hired a writer and an editor. If I want more videos I need help. Too much work for one person if we want weekly videos. You can easily look in the description for sources.
Bro... stop stalking me haha!! Dude, last week you got that lady killed in my county (Lea/Lee) and this week you got the exact town and apartment complex I lived in (Jeffersonville)!! I didn't live there at the time of the murder, I had just moved away like a year prior. That's so crazy, dude. Wild coincidence.
What they don’t say is that all this happened less than a block from their apartment. It was sooo close all they had to do was go home. That’s why she got out of the car. Matthew was my best friend growing up. We went to brush college elementary school, I’ve hung out with his 2 brothers, and practically lived at their house behind mcds. I even dated their cousin. The whole lot of them are nasty trash and Matthew was the best of them if that makes sense. I just randomly came across this and was shocked to hear it again 10 years later, especially randomly. Still friends with Matthew on FB. Sad but deserved.
I absolutely LOVE how you put timestamps in your description! It makes it alot easier to listen to specific parts (even though i watch the whole video lol) and it makes it REALLY easy to re-listen to a story haha. Thanks, and great video!
God, how upset he had to be hearing they hadn't called an ambulance. It's amazing he had the fortitude not to actually take the law into his own hands. Poor guy he tried so hard to save her. All that time. He tried. So heartbreaking.
Sounds like that off-duty officer in the first call went above and beyond, more than some people that are on-duty. He went out of his way to pull that woman into his house, and actually assessed the situation before shooting a man who barged into his *house*
@@lovepuppy4627 No one is blaming the victim. However he was protecting her . Are you aware that the girlfriend and her family then raised money to pay for his funeral .? @@donnaecroyd2473 I'm aware. I'm just saying the way they said "that woman who chose to bring drama into their home" sounds like the girl wasn't in danger.
As sad as a lot of these calls are, thank you for covering them. There's a lot to life that a lot of us take for granted for, this is a reminder that things can change so fast
That police officer in his own home ,did the right thing he was protecting his own family and he warned the man so many times ,he didn’t ask the girl to knock on his door
I can’t stand it when women call police on men just to yell, “Don’t shoot him! Don’t touch him!” Didn’t you just say he tried to kill you now you’re begging for his life. I’m confused 🙄
I so appreciate your empathy and sensitivity in presenting these calls. You are right I've always wondered what happens after the call and most others don't delve that deep. Some talk in weird voices, trying to make it more scary, just making it for purely entertainment value, it's just so disrespectful. Thank you
Just wanted to say I found this series last night, and I have been watching non-stop. The effort and work you put into these are incredible. I really appreciate the time you invest into these videos, and I very much appreciate the information and updates, as well as subtitles :)
Thank you for sharing these stories, and for your commentary. You have an eerily calming voice, if that makes sense... I watched the video where you shared your own personal story. I'm sure that was so very difficult, and as a parent myself, I can't imagine what you've been through. I believe that people live on in the way that they touch people. Whether it is holding a door open for someone in a nice gesture, or being a loved one, and everything in between. Tara, in this video, like your little girl, live on through their family and friends... but also through these videos. Her father is right. It is about the victims. You sharing your daughter's story has touched everyone that has watched it, and she lives on in the sense that parent's will be more vigilant about securing furniture etc. Your daughter's story, your story, I dare say has saved lives. I don't know if that's your baby girl's legacy, but I'd like to think so.
One thing I've learned from watching your videos---It takes 10 to 20 minutes for help to come. That feels like hours when you or your loved one is dying. People rely too much on 911 being the savior. Best to prepare yourself for worst case .
Thank you for sharing these with respect and care for the victims and giving updates to the stories and how they concluded. It’s always aggravating when videos cut the story short and you don’t hear the aftermath of what happened. You don’t do that and I for one really appreciate it. You also have a very professional sounding, soothing voice that helps to ease the tension in the videos themselves. It’s really perfect for these kinds of videos. I could even hear you hosting The First 48 or Forensic Files. You have a great voice for doing voice work in general. Your videos are great all around. Please keep them coming!
This is for sure one of my favorite channels! The video you posted about your daughter was particularly heartbreaking. You really put a lot of work and heart into these videos, and it definitely shows!
The balance of when to talk and when not to is incredible! Some people over do it and some don’t even do it but this channel understands the balance. HUGE THUMBS UP!!!
These stories were all so traumatic. I will never understand how someone can take another person’s life unless it is self defense or saving the lives of someone you love. My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families.
I love your videos, and yes the content is disturbing and heartbreaking at times but the compassion in your voice takes some of that trauma away. please continue it's like you're giving these poor souls a voice by telling their story. You give background on these people, you follow up as to what happened. Truly one of most interesting channels I subscribe to.
The Supreme Court ruled the police have no duty to protect you. You may have missed it early on but there was an officer there on scene but had to wait for another officer before making entry. People, you are the only one who’s going to save you so plan accordingly.
Well yeah, it's important to have backup when walking into a tense situation where there are a lot of variables and a high probability of violence. Charging in like a lone action hero is how you get shot. It's not like they were just waiting outside to fuck with the dude making the call, it was the safest way to handle the situation especially when you know that more officers will be arriving any moment. I don't know what ruling you're talking about specifically but before reading it I guarantee it's more "officers are entitled to value their own lives as well" and less "officers never have to help anyone ever if they don't feel like it, we're just keeping them on payroll for no reason now." Obviously you should still take reasonable measures to protect yourself but that's mostly due to response times and limited resources. You can generally count on emergency services to assist you but they aren't superheroes, so it just makes sense to have a plan for that gap where you're on your own.
Cyan Light you don’t just sit there and wait especially if there is only one person and dispatch hasn’t heard anything of the man having a gun. That same mentality is why those kids got shot up at that school when that officer was “waiting outside for backup” you wait outside for backup when there’s a house full of bad people or if you are going into a house and it’s unknown who is inside. In this case we knew who was inside we knew the guy had no weapon we knew he was a domestic abuser and we knew the home owner had a firearm. For no reason should the cop have been waiting for backup. Fucking pathetic response from the police. Don’t become a fucking officer if you aren’t willing to put you life at risk for others, that’s the whole fucking point
The outro perfectly encapsulates why this series is so special to us. You have saved me so many hours of follow-up research, which in turn makes this so bingeable. I also appreciate how your vocal inflection is always so thoughtful and realistic.
I was married to a abusive man for 15 years and definitely had some bad fights with him. I was always too embarrassed to call the police when he'd hurt me. Thank god i left him before he really hurt me...
Out of all the TH-cam channels that do these types of calls, you are the very best. I love your input and how you go the extra mile to tell us what happened after every call instead of having us try and Google it on our own. It's hard to listen to most of these calls, I can't imagine the emotional toll it must take on you to research them to have new content all the time. Thank you for all you do and I pray that it doesn't ever affect you. I also pray for all the innocent people who have suffered the trama of losing a loved one or who have been violated themselves (or who have suffered both). Thank you to all the Police and first responders who do the best they can to help those in need. God bless you and give you peace. Stay safe everyone and be kind. 🥺💝

I don't crave the details of heinous acts or chaotic events but I'm moved by your 911 videos. Your sincerity in relaying the facts leading up to and after the calls are priceless. The calls are raw, revealing humanity or the lack thereof. I cry at some point during each video, sometimes pausing to call my family. At the end, you express surprise at how well-received the series has become. Don''t be surprised. I've never seen such thorough 911-call reports: not from youtube nor from network/cable TV. I also like the editorial comments you sometimes add. You have skill and talent in reporting, but you remind us that you're human, too.
The fact that you put the work in and actually explain the events leading up and any resulting charges and sentencing afterwords is greatly appreciated. I've had the same issues with other videos like this. THank you and keep up the good work.
I just discovered your channel, and are going through your videos from the start. I have to say that you have an amazing voice, it's so pleasent to listen to, so clear and with a perfect pacing of your words. How you are not cast for TV yet is beyond me. Keep up the good work! I will definitly look forward to watch the one year of videos I just foung.
Thank you for providing context to these stories. You said it perfectly... anyone can upload 911 calls to a youtube channel, but these victims deserve more than that. They are real people and have a story... even though this is a form of entertainment, maybe we can learn something that will save someone one day.

The sound of air choking out of his girlfriends lungs while he’s trying to give CPR is actually so sad
Is that what the noise was? I thought it was the broken ribs

Tara sounded like a wonderful woman. She did not deserve such a barbaric death
The second one when he said c'mon baby don't die
i wanna know how tf these 2 kids are still sleeping
I barely heard the gunshot over the phone..
IKR!😳🤔
He said his children were next to him on the floor multiple times
My thoughts exactly
My mans musta had a silencer just in case of such a situation
That first man went above and beyond. The fact he had to go to court makes me not want to help anyone. He should sue the bfs family
I dunno maybe to check if they missed or something lol. Does seem kind of odd...
a human body is very resiliant.. its not that easy to kill a man as people think..in the war in my country people survived several sniper shots.. half of their head blown off..they must make sure about everything in case it can be helped in any way before the ambulance comes..
Its probably to make sure that the person was actually hit and to alert the medical personnel what to prepare for.
Its a check. If you shoot somebody and hes not bleeding you missed or he had a bulletproof vest.
because as a paramedic who's seen many bullet wounds not all gunshots bleed, some trickle, and some pour.. it depends on what was hit and where also what type of gun, ammo, e.t.c.
Facts!! No one does these kinds of videos better! 💜👍💯
The sound of the air just coming right out of her is extremely hard to listen to. Rip beautiful
Dude, you the man, thanks again and always do that me time do you don't burn out
...ps, I just ♥ your channel
That first off duty officer did everything he was supposed to do he had to protect his kids
He gave that guy more than enough warnings as well. He had no choice but to protect himself and his family.
Still amazed that they apparently were asleep during it all.
He tried really hard not to shoot Matthew. Daisy was probably confused by 2 strangers
hearing the breaths come out of the guy doing compressions on his girlfriend really sunk me, dang that was hard
He broke into his house and he had to think about his children. justified.

My mom used to watch Rescue 911 and I was obsessed with Unsolved Mysteries, even if it did scare the crap out of me sometimes. 😆
If you watch unsolved mysteries on roku, they have added updated of where everyone is to date.
I'm not an 80s or 90s kid but I LOVED those shows! I still watch them sometimes.
Dang first guy gave him every chance in the world. Literally let the guy kick down the door and still didn’t shoot him for so long. Feel bad for that guy who had to do that nobody should have kill someone like that. Hope the dad and the girl are doing ok
That second one broke me. I can’t imagine. ☹️
He was Soo calm though
Poor guy he was so sweet my god I can’t imagine either you can literally hear him trying so damn hard to bring her back.. ugh 😢

It’s crazy that I can go from watching makeup tutorials to watching disturbing 911 calls
Do you know Bayley Serian?
She tells true crime stories while doing fantastic makeup.
She is great!
Ugh that last one broke my heart. I wonder what happened to the boyfriend. Poor soul loved her as he did everything he could to bring her back.
Thank you for not getting too graphic when retelling his account of what he did to the girl. I wouldn't have wanted to hear that
I dont know if you take requests for this series, seems weird to make a request for these types of videos, but here I am, doing it anyway!
Did he survive 😭
I want to be the one who survived it and came through and did everything he could to get to where I am today
O’BRIEN: you want to be the man who lived?
BREWER: Yes. I do.

I can’t imagine how horrible it would be to find the love of your life, get engaged, and eagerly wait for your wedding just for them to be murdered right before it could happen. How heartbreaking and helpless that must feel.
How lucky was the 1st lady that her neighbor is a officer God-bless him
Love your 911 videos but can I make a suggestion? The text is extremely small and hard to read. I have good vision and couldn’t read it at all. Thank you!👍
As a former news reporter I commend you. Your research and delivery is spot on. I agree however that the subtitles need to be enlarged. A lot of work goes into creating accurate subtitles. I grew up in Jeffersonville, and I'm the same age as she would be. I remember when Tara was murdered. I didn't know her, but we had mutual friends. That was really sad for the community.

Bro... stop stalking me haha!!
That poor guy in the second one. He's trying so hard to save his girlfriends life.
I absolutely LOVE how you put timestamps in your description! It makes it alot easier to listen to specific parts (even though i watch the whole video lol) and it makes it REALLY easy to re-listen to a story haha. Thanks, and great video!
Oh my God listening to that guy count while giving her chest compressions just broke my heart... I could hug him...
He's a hero
Omg I can hear the compressions its like watery...the sound of her chest being pressed or something that so disturbing

God, how upset he had to be hearing they hadn't called an ambulance. It's amazing he had the fortitude not to actually take the law into his own hands.
Poor guy he tried so hard to save her. All that time. He tried. So heartbreaking.

Nah it saddens me as well
I love it tbh lol it’s like eerily calming lol 💁🏼♀️

Sounds like that off-duty officer in the first call went above and beyond, more than some people that are on-duty. He went out of his way to pull that woman into his house, and actually assessed the situation before shooting a man who barged into his *house*
He shot a crazy man in order to protect himself his children and that women who choose to bring her drama into their home. GOOD he did NOTHING wrong
She didn't choose shit, she could've died. Don't blame the victims
She didn’t CHOOSE anything. It was either that or DIE. What would you do?
As sad as a lot of these calls are, thank you for covering them. There's a lot to life that a lot of us take for granted for, this is a reminder that things can change so fast
In all of these vids, I'm astounded at how long it takes emergency services to arrive. It's ridiculous!
True. In reality 2 minutes is too long and it takes much longer
At least it arrives,In India I can only imagine .
That police officer in his own home ,did the right thing he was protecting his own family and he warned the man so many times ,he didn’t ask the girl to knock on his door
I love that you're actually telling their stories. Ive always loved 911 calls but hate getting stuck wondering what happened. So thank you!
So many sad stories begin with, "under the influence of alcohol, an argument ensued. Then..."
I can’t stand it when women call police on men just to yell, “Don’t shoot him! Don’t touch him!” Didn’t you just say he tried to kill you now you’re begging for his life. I’m confused 🙄
Letting her in put his whole family in danger and she is screaming not to shoot him. Makes you question letting someone into your home.
That's why people shouldn't waste their time helping DV people.
You see everything in black and white huh ? Stupid comment and even stupider logic…
I'm from Decatur...remember that one like it happened yesterday. Definitely justified self defense.
The balance of when to talk and when not to is incredible! Some people over do it and some don’t even do it but this channel understands the balance. HUGE THUMBS UP!!!
I had heard that first call before, but I never knew exactly what was going on. Thanks for finally explaining.

I don't know what ruling you're talking about specifically but before reading it I guarantee it's more "officers are entitled to value their own lives as well" and less "officers never have to help anyone ever if they don't feel like it, we're just keeping them on payroll for no reason now."
Obviously you should still take reasonable measures to protect yourself but that's mostly due to response times and limited resources. You can generally count on emergency services to assist you but they aren't superheroes, so it just makes sense to have a plan for that gap where you're on your own.
Their duty is to protect and serve
I look forward to these all the time! As a dispatcher myself, I always find it very interesting to listen to these and see how they are handled.
Love this series, I’m sad to hear people going through the worst time of their lives but it shows how amazingly strong some people are.
The outro perfectly encapsulates why this series is so special to us. You have saved me so many hours of follow-up research, which in turn makes this so bingeable. I also appreciate how your vocal inflection is always so thoughtful and realistic.
That man gave the guy who busted into his house way more warnings than he needed to. He did his best to help but holy shit. That guy had it coming.
