Helpful tip in taking back extra cases/luggage of LEGO back with you, bring some extra AirTags to pack in each set of checked items to keep track of them. Has saved in me in the past when something got lost at Frankfurt.
Europe needs to get their act together. It's like the Wild west there. Expensive local products, lost luggage, high taxes, etc. You guys need to get fixing.
I applied for the VAT when I traveled to Europe years ago. Same situation. Lots of confusion. I never heard anything more about it after I completed all the forums. 5 years later, I got the rebate. I'm not kidding. 5 years. I had forgotten all about it. Good luck
Lego is too expensive. But in Denmark at Lego House and Legoland it is even more expensive. Makes no sense. This place is the heart of Lego. It should be cheaper there...
It is so silly, like with video games - physical copy of microsoft's game on disc, packaged and shipped from a random 3rd party website - £35 digital only copy of microsoft's game downloaded directly from Microsoft's xbox - £55
My sister, her husband and 2 children live in Denmark now, so when I go to visit them, I think we might have to have a trip to Legoland! The florist’s shop is amazing, loved the PAB wall there.
Thank you so much for documenting this journey! My trip next month is going to be a lot sweeter now i know what to look out for in stores and all the information on VAT 👏
Thanks for another great video. It’s easier to bring things back when you travel with the family. When we went to the USA for a holiday the kids stuff got jammed into our cases and we had two extra cases to bring back our booty, some of which was LEGO!
Thanks for sharing your trip with us all. I have loved every video. It looks like you had a great time but will be very happy to get home. That VAT tax seems super annoying and definitely needs to be more clear to travelers. Keep us updated!
Hi Bricksie. Thanks so much for all the super videos of your experiences, and purchases in Billund. You really bought some great stuff. Just hope you get your vat tax back. Now you can really get going on the City, once you get your breath back and spend time with the family.
Loved your shopping experience - I'm heading to Legoland Germany with my family later this year, so now I'm even more excited for the shopping! Did you end up getting the LEGO bag? I was impressed with all your purchases. Great job!
Remember, your not the only one with confusion about VAT, reach out to Lego and your fellow LAN members they might be able to make it easier for you to get your money back.
That BAM station is a dream! It's a nightmare searching for the parts to build the figs in the Lego Stores in the US. 30 different heads all mixed up in 1 bin. It's frustrating and very time consuming.
Actually the Lego stores used to keep the BAM parts separated. When I worked at a US store about 10 years ago we had to spend so much time sorting the BAM parts during slow times.
Jordan you should really try and yourself an actual PAB wall and some of those Lego crates.. that would be insane but it would be like living in your own Lego store 🌈
The last time I was in a Lego store that wasn't my home store, I didn't buy anything as I was in London and my purchases would have to travel with me to Heathrow Airport. You're crazy dude!!
The Lego bag is nice seen thay had them munth back at one store bricks n mini figs for sale that Ross was at thos Christmas jumper ied love to have .yes geting all thos box in bag .😊
Trip to Lego see the sights , eat the food shop the stores best purchase your rain boots priceless ! have a safe trip home , put the camara down spend a few days with your family Lego not going away !
We are soon going to Legoland for the seventh time this year. It is expensive but is is allowed to bring food. We also gain a 25% discount on one legobox every month saving a lot on the lego exclusive and bringing the price for other boxes down to a more normal level. Next visit is halloween.
Hi Jordan, nice meeting you on AFOL Day, I tried to give you a Hand with packing your LH Shop Sets 😊 If you come back to Europe, you should really visit the Factory in the Legoland Gunzburg in Germany, that is insane with a Lot of loose pieces for around 10€/100g
I love your fascination about PAB selection, you need to go to Legoland Germany where they have the factory store… surprisingly there and not a lego facility where the actual factory is.. but it is literally crate and pallets of bricks, pretty much every single brick produced available in every colour produced, available by weight… and animals purchased individually or in box set.. they have like zoo starter kits with 20/40 animals each for a handful of euros.. the fact they wont roll them out to all legolands amazes me everytime but the selection is amazing… Edit: you mention it specifically, Lego group replied directly to me telling me a year ago that “licensing agreements “ prevented them from opening lego factories stores elsewhere and that it wasnt operated or owned by Lego Group but a third party licensed on their behalf and we would have to contact them for c9mments on expansion, to which they never replied.. I imagine Merlin, the park operators elsewhere globally refuse to allow the factory stores to trade from their park, probably to prevent large scale afol crowds “taking park entry without park entry” reducing their income
I live next to Legoland Florida and they just changed the factory price for the pieces from weight to a set price so I don’t think they will change the regular stores to weight.
When we visited the U.S. for a few days and went back to Canada we could claim the taxes back on our U.S. purchases. I'm sure you can do the same thing here when you get back to Canada.
Love the bam station at the lego shop curious how much does bam cost in Canada? Building out my city and trying to find the best way to get as many figures without having to get duplicates from the collectors series
Billund is for the LEGO experience and ONLY to buy some exclusive HOTB sets. Same happened to me in June. Misleading info, way too high prices, disappointment no exclusive sets at airport and not really helpful store staff to explain VAT rules.
I went to the Lego house and Legoland in Denmark this year and it was really good and I only got 2 lego sets Arin's off road ninja buggy and the legoland exclusive ninjago set
I don't think the star wars in Legoland has anything to do with being in the store (which is still within the park), but I believe it has to do with licensing and there not being any other parks in that country with the rights to Star Wars. So the US Legoland parks cannot as there are theme parks in the US (Disney) that have the rights to Star Wars in the park. Same thing with Marvel. Prior to Disney buying Marvel certain characters were licensed out to Universal Studios and as such they can not be in certain US Disney Parks. My understanding is that Spiderman (maybe all or more Marvel characters) cannot be in Walt Disney World as there is licensing with Universal that prevents Disney from using the license east of the Mississippi which is why Spiderman and the Marvel Campus is at Disneyland Anaheim & not Orlando.
Good luck with the VAT refund, but lesson learned for everyone to check official government VAT info and not go by store clerks. I'm jealous of the BAM set up as the Lego store nearest store to me, doesn't even have a BAM station. They only have 20 figures made up already in a display case and you give the clerks the figure numbers you want and can only buy what they show made already for 3 for $10.00US.
At least you got multiple exclusive ducks, when I was there they didn't have any in stock , which was one of the reasons why I went there 😔 And I hope you get back the tax back for everything

Always and tags on outside too

The first 4 words are what made me to consider also alt bricks.
Agree, no importcost, tax, whatever. It should be cheaper.
why is that? lol, anyone know?

I enjoyed all your videos of your trip to Denmark. Absolutely amazing footage and information. Thank you

Amazing experience. Thanks for taking us along .
15:04 those big Minifigure keychains look like those flash lights I’ve seen in my local lego store.
Thank you for taking me along on a once in a lifetime experience ❤
Wow! I hope all them lego get home safely!
Thanks for showing the things you can only get at the lego store!
Hi Bricksie.
Thanks so much for all the super videos of your experiences, and purchases in Billund. You really bought some great stuff. Just hope you get your vat tax back.
Now you can really get going on the City, once you get your breath back and spend time with the family.
I was in billund last year and wasn’t able to go to the Lego house but I’m lucky I can see everything from the Lego house from youre channel
That Lego bag is sick! ❤

Tip for animating superman remember his flight should feel fluid you should use a helping hand/ rig to ensure slighter movement and buff the framerate
Hi Jordan hope you had fun on AFOL day 😊 - my little blue car is looking forward to an adventure in your Lego world (Toby - we met on AFOL day)
The last time I was in a Lego store that wasn't my home store, I didn't buy anything as I was in London and my purchases would have to travel with me to Heathrow Airport. You're crazy dude!!
I am in the UK and really want to get over to Billund soon. Lego house looks amazing.
I’m super curious what’s in the secret little black box
The Lego bag is nice seen thay had them munth back at one store bricks n mini figs for sale that Ross was at thos Christmas jumper ied love to have .yes geting all thos box in bag .😊

My son encourages you to buy the LEGO City LEGO semi truck. He loves it!

If you come back to Europe, you should really visit the Factory in the Legoland Gunzburg in Germany, that is insane with a Lot of loose pieces for around 10€/100g
You can get your sales tax back at the airport on all purchases made in country. You go to the no duty area and show your receipts FYI
I love your fascination about PAB selection, you need to go to Legoland Germany where they have the factory store… surprisingly there and not a lego facility where the actual factory is.. but it is literally crate and pallets of bricks, pretty much every single brick produced available in every colour produced, available by weight… and animals purchased individually or in box set.. they have like zoo starter kits with 20/40 animals each for a handful of euros.. the fact they wont roll them out to all legolands amazes me everytime but the selection is amazing…

I hope your wonderful LEGO loot will arrive ok back home, being packed like that in the suitcase.
Never check in your luggage. Carry on.
Can’t wait to find out what new LEGO sets you guys got to see in Billund!
I live next to Legoland Florida and they just changed the factory price for the pieces from weight to a set price so I don’t think they will change the regular stores to weight.

Jordan I literally watch you every single day and to be honest your content has seen me through bad times. You’re my comfort dude ! Please don’t stop
I wish I was in Denmark now haha I’m building the haunted manor Lego MOC and need all of those 1x2 masonry bricks
Don't miss out on that awesome bag
They gonna have so much fun when scan your suitcase at the airport 😂
Seems like you were lucky this day 😅 i have never seen those grey big boxes before in there 😅
Billund is for the LEGO experience and ONLY to buy some exclusive HOTB sets. Same happened to me in June. Misleading info, way too high prices, disappointment no exclusive sets at airport and not really helpful store staff to explain VAT rules.
You should get that boat slush set and than you could have boat ride in the Theme park.
I went to the Lego house and Legoland in Denmark this year and it was really good and I only got 2 lego sets Arin's off road ninja buggy and the legoland exclusive ninjago set
The bag is amazing! Just get it
I want to go here so bad!! Looks like heaven
Hello from Denmark.. you will get it back i am pretty sure. I know Denmark is expensive
You should’ve got those dragons for the kids! 😅
An expensive trip for sure 😀
just wondered if you were getting the new Batmobile on October 1st
Is there a limit on the exclusive sets like the duck and pirate?
The lego shop at the bilund park is not officially lego store own by lego. So there are no VIP points. or extra gifts with purscase
Wow I hope you get your money back ,that's alit to loose. Also hope the box makes it, I'd be worried sick about that.
The PAB seems to have really improved, or is it just for the occasion? Last year summertime it was quite disappointing.
Those big bins the Lego pieces come in would be nice just to store stuff I.
Random question. Maybe someone asked it lower. If bricks fit nicely and to-the-max in a PaB box, why would they fit better dumped into a suitcase?
I got one of those torso's I brought from Legoland Windsor .
I have always wanted to go to Lego House
I’m very scared for that box, hope it all the best 😬
To free up luggage space can just wear 3 or 4 shirts and 2 jeans on the flight home.
lol that sounds like a comfortable 9 hour plane ride back home!
I think we In the States will always laugh when you Canadians talk about a “Toque” 🤷🏼♂️.
Don’t know why, it’s just funny 🤣
You need to visit Ulm if you think that's a good PAB selection!
That sucks re tax i am in Denmark Copenhagen in December will for sure be asking for export receipts
Whats in the black box Jordan??
The magazine are using the paper bags and they aren't great like you commented on
If only I could go there and take a few of those grey crates back with me…
How much is one box?
Ok totally not Jelly of those rarer masonry colours, had some of them in the UK, but i want so many of the others lol
Wow, my minifig torso is still on display in the minifig factory machine (the frodo one) 😍 its ole kirks house surrounded by the legoland entrance 😊
I saw that one when I was there. It looks amazing!
The doctor torso with stephascope
Man imagine if Air Canada mishandled that luggage

Bricksie complaining about European Lego prices; welcome to my life! remember that next time when your boasting about 60% discounted sets 😂❤️
Does anyone know how much it costs to post from Denmark to the Uk?
about 19 depending on how big the order is
Please do a follow up video...
Watching this for a second time to do my part to help out with that lost VAT refund.
The pick a brick wall has been so disappointing at the Brandon Lego Store. Just white and violet masonry. Oh and no Jaws Set.
I think you could ship that box for a cheaper cost, but you might have to pay taxes when you import it.
Good luck with the VAT refund, but lesson learned for everyone to check official government VAT info and not go by store clerks. I have that bag! It was a then-VIP Reward. Been toting it for 2 years and holds up well and always get compliments ☺️
The VAT tax refund is so confusing and annoying. Hope you can get it sorted out
Remember to block out any leaks!!
Or dad went to Lego land and didn’t take us😢😢
A kid in the candy store! I.e. adult
Shopping where lego was made is impressive
At least you got multiple exclusive ducks, when I was there they didn't have any in stock , which was one of the reasons why I went there 😔 And I hope you get back the tax back for everything
Man I love Lego
dude, that ugly sweater and that Darth Vader build, wow, would love the chance to go there, totally awesome
all too easy for them to take your tax money, but when has ANYTHING in regards to getting taxes refunded been "easy"? 😄
You do not get insider points in the Legoland store. You do in the Legohouse store.
